Horrific. Internet Banking now requires you to use some qr code that the app will scan but before you're allowed to do that, the app requires you to take a selfie and create some profile...But the app freezes at that stage. I was advised to delete the app, restart phone, then reinstall. You're then required to take a selfie & create a profile before accessing the app but it's still freezing at that stage. Now, I can't access internet banking or the app. Contacting WhatsApp/branch didn't help!

After the update of the app it's been easier to use and given few to no problems so far. I'm not completely sure if the app won't give the user problems but if your locked out of your account then visit a branch. Other than that, no problem and functions well.

The fact that you need to delete multiple messages countless times and it would magically reappear! The other problem would be almost guaranteed no-access once month end arrives. It would be virtually impossible to access the Capitec banking app without encountering any glitches! Please sort out all the bugs and glitches!

I always have to set location when buying lotto tickets and the app keeps logging out when I am done setting the location because of that I have to manually purchase tickets. Why is location needed for purchasing lotto tickets anyway? Please also add number of draws and validity dates of lotto tickets plus remind when the last draw on the tickets is near. Itel A18s.

Been using this app for so long. Very convenient and easy to use. For a person who dislikes social interaction, I can easily buy data or airtime without leaving my house. So awesome . Easy payments. Awesome app!!!

Currently the most irritating app on my phone, as it keeps asking permission to access location. Even after this permission has been given, it still interrupts my banking experience by asking for permission to access location services. The developer should rectify this, or run the risk of losing clients.

As long as you have a positive balance all is good. When you are suddenly locked out of your account while you are overseas, noone at capitec is able to help. Client care doesn't respond to emails, both telephone numbers on the back of your bank cards go unanswered. Client documents email shrug their shoulders and ofcourse the whattsapp number is a joke. Steer clear if i was you.

I love the banking app, super easy to work with and always able to log in . However I really wish this location thing can get removed as I do not like switching on my location so I went from a 5 star to 3 star just because of the location you are forced to have on

I find the app very useful, but lacks one small yet important feature on the lotto draws, it doesn't show the last date for multiple draws. It would be nice if you can add it like other banks, as it is important to know the last day of the duration of your ticket. - So you replied only to send me to your WhatsApp Bot that has no answers to what I was asking?

Hi, I am having issues after initial install of the application on a Samsung J1 mini. It is android version 6 so it should work.But for some reason after installation and initial load it just displays the logo and nothing else. I tried restarting and uninstall and re-install but the issue does not seem to be resolved. No exception error or connection issue.Will you please assist as I need it urgently please. I don't have any issues on my previous phone. Is there a way for you to contactThank you

It used to work so smoothly, but all of a sudden it gives me an incorrect pin notification before even finishing to enter my pin. It jumps around between different screens and it goes into functions I didnt select. And its not my phone because no other app is doing that

This app just keeps getting worse, less and less user friendly! No longer can I use internet banking on my PC because it requires face recognition from Capitec app & Face Recognition NEVER WORKS! 2ndly, now I have to do 2 clicks/swipes just to login, instead of directly when opening app! 3rdly I have to do extra clicks to see all my accounts when before all was instantly viewable on homescreen! Why do you keep making this harder for your client users?? Beyond me!!

I've had to swap devices several times over a period of 2 weeks due to a new phone malfunctioning. Obviously needing to re-install the app each time. I am unable to manually install the app and had to go to the bank each time to have the app work! Unacceptable! This is just laziness and poor management.

Unlike other Banking companies, Capitec needs to access location before using in-app Lottery. This is worse feature and I don't know if you were trying to be unique. This location feature has glitches and I get an error even if location is turned on and the app has full permissions to access my location in settings. Remove this feature and stop shinning on us, please!

Since Friday 26 April, App on my iPhone 6S(iOS15.8.2) has been crashing when I start it, saying: "X Error An error has occured Force close and start this app" I force closed the app, same problem. I switched off the phone and restarted it, same problem. I just can not get into the App anymore. Thank you for your response. Oh, I did go to WhatsApp in the middle of my frustration. It only helped me with balance and statement. No facility for IT issues or human interaction. Very frustrating.

They are removing email notifications for payments? Say it as a question since the feature is already broken when I use it. (Sorry not broke but extremely slow, took more than 4 hours) They are replacing it with a share button that in itself does not always work and is also not bug free. Feels as if all the reasons Capitec was better than competing banks and even simple features where they were equall are slowly disappearing.

Nice and professional app. Deducting one star though because it's a bit kak if you switch phones - you're required to take a selfie during setup and if, like me, Home Affairs doesn't have your photo on record then you're forced to visit a branch. Some work in this area is indicated, like for example sending a verification code to the app on your old phone so you don't have to jump through this annoying hoop.

Have had to downgrade to 3 stars. Compared to FNB's app, Capitec still needs to do a lot of work. This morning I'm not receiving OTPs, so cannot log in. It's not the first time either. You guys need to try harder, can't run a business if this is the status quo. OK and generally getting better, but still needs work in terms of speed and stability.

What I find very inconvenient is the in-app notification feature. Let's say you have 50 unread messages in the app. It would make things so much easier to have a "mark all" or "unmark all" feature, where you can either mark all messages as either read or unread. Also, I find it bothersome when you read a message, its still marked in bold as "unread" despite having read it before

Capitec banking app is user-friendly and efficient. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, making tasks like checking balances, transferring funds, and managing accounts straightforward. The security features are robust, giving me confidence in the safety of my transactions. However, there is room for improvement. It would be fantastic if Capitec could add a PayPal integration feature in the future. This would make the app even more versatile and convenient for international transactions.
