For the most part the program does what it's supposed to. My only complaint is that It does slightly slow down devices and sometimes doesn't filter unless you open the app on the device first. Other than that, I can trust it to filter the devices my kids use daily, which puts my mind a little more at ease.

Definitely the best app I have used of this nature, proactively learns and blocks new content. Even across apps like Twitter, I have had some connectivity issues with certain apps. Like being able to update certain apps that aren't through the Play store, overall been a positive experience and recommends highly

We've used Canopy for almost 2 years now and it's the best parental control app I've found. It's easy to use and works well across all devices in our home. I like the option for setting screen time limitations and times of day internet cannot be accessed so that there is screen down time in our home. Highly recommend!

I've had this app for 6 months, and I've really liked it. It did a pretty good job filtering things, and I liked that it had a location tracker. However, for over 2 weeks now, our phones have been unprotected due to a "financial issue". I've proved that the money has been taken from my account, and talked to many, many, many customer support people. Still. Here I am waiting for the problem to be fixed.

We love Canopy. It has a couple small quirks, but nothing that would knock off a star. It is definitively the best choice for us. I can get granular with protection filtering such as choosing the apps I want to be allowed. Some apps may have issues with the Canopy VPN, but this is easily fixed by bypassing it for a particular app. No parental control app is perfect; the best thing we can do as parents is talk to our kids regularly, but for the added peach-of-mind, Canopy is the way to go.

The use of AI to evaluate images on the fly and block ones that meet a certain flesh threshold is brilliant. Challenge is this tool is effectively a broad spectrum antibiotic and destroys a lot of other innocuous web traffic in the process. 1 - the exceptions that need to be granted with the default settings is annoying for an admin. Have had to explicitly grant access to several religious news articles because they were about sensitive topics. 2- web speed tanks, causing some sites to fail

Problems with gliching after install which customer service helped me through. Worked great until I was charged twice for yearly subscription when I signed up for monthly. Haven't heard back after multiple attempts to contact them. I ended up calling my bank to help with these charges since canopy didn't seem to want to correct this. I'm not very happy with the app at all when it comes to messing with my money.

Overall, Canopy has helped me manage my three kids' cell phones. I like that you can set up downtime but wish I could pause them. If you want to temporarily change a downtime, you have to delete what is already there and then remember to go back and change them back. Customer service has been quick and helpful when I have had to contact. I definitely think there could be some changes made to be even better but I have used a few parental control apps & this one is the only one I have stuck with

Canopy is a good and necessary safety net for our household. For various reasons we can't filter our whole-house internet, but with Canopy we can protect the devices/computers that need protecting. Occasionally it blocks too much, but I'd rather that than blocking too little. There are some minor holes in coverage (it will let you see the cover photo of a bad video but will block the playing of the video) but overall we're happy.

The app didn't work well as the daily screen report never would refresh and seldom gave daily results. The location map sometimes worked, but not like it should have! My son also uninstalled the app when you were not supposed to be able to do that. The customer service was terrible! I could not get anyone to call me back. I only talked to an actual person 1 time and never got my issue resolved. After 3-4 emails and voicemails that were not returned, I canceled our subscription.

We use Canopy on almost every device in our home, including my own personal computers and phone. I wanted to set an example for my kids that I too don't want to see the garbage out there. It works well in conjunction with Google Family Link to provide a solid barrier to almost everything. Installing can be tricky, but if you follow their guides you should be ok. It started acting strange on my old phone, but I had to upgrade anyway and things are fine now. Highly recommended for all parents.

This has been a great tool for our family! The customer service team has been responsive and fixed problems when they have arisen. But it sometimes blocks access to things that are appropriate, such as pages on websites or Youtube channels that are not listed as "for kids" but have no inappropriate content. The VPN also causes connectivity issues with other apps at times, although whoever has the admin account can temporarily turn it off, take care of what's needed, and then turn it back on.

Canopy has been a valuable tool in helping keep our kids safe as we give them more freedom on the Internet. Setup initially took a bit of time, and we did notice some connection delays, but those seem to be getting better. I like the ability to be able to pause protection for a short period if something is blocked incorrectly. I also love that inappropriate images are blocked, so my kids can visit a site and not worry about risky content from ads even if the page itself is safe.

Canopy is an amazing filter. It routes everything through their VPN and filters everything. The service used to slow things down a lot but over the last few years their service has gotten better. Apps work smoother than they have previously. The Canopy team is constantly working to improve how the service works. This app definitely works in keeping kids safe online but still giving them functionality on their devices.

This has been a great app for my family! I tried several others before finally finding Canopy. I have a Samsung and my two sons recently switched to iPhones. It was so hard finding an app that would work cross-platform and I'm very grateful to have found what I was looking for in Canopy. I particularly like the photo filter on the web 👍

This app has kept my family safe! You can use it on multiple devices and pause protection for various amounts of time, if needed. I find I need to pause protection occasionally to do updates or access certain sites/apps that Canopy slows or blocks (like Google Maps, for some reason). While it does slow things down, it's worth it to me! This means it is blocking content BEFORE getting to devices instead of like a major competitor, which just alerts parents if inappropriate things come up.

Does what it advertised. Blocks whatever you want. However it now takes about 20x longer to load a YouTube video or a Google search. I tested by activating and deactivation and the phone loaded everything way faster without this activated. Is there a way to avoid this? I'd love to keep paying for this after the trial but unusable slow speeds is a deal breaker.

Canopy is an integral part of keeping our family safe online. It blocks inappropriate pictures and video from coming through. While not perfect, it is very effective by using an AI engine to determine if the content is safe. We also use an accountability program. Between the two, we have a complete solution. After a full week of searching, Canopy is the best one I've found to block content we don't want to see.

We have used the canopy app to put "guard rails" on our two teenage son's smartphone devices about 9 months ago. In addition to doing a very good job providing common sense context filtering, we were about to effectively establish some time limit to usage. We were initially met with some resistance, but once we worked through a few configuration tweaks, we had a solid solution with their complete buy-in. I would certainly recommend this app to any parent wanting to accomplish the same goal

I tested out multiple filtering softwares on multiple devices at the same time. What impressed me the most about canopy was its ability to filter images. Raising boys I'm concerned for them to accidentally come across pictures that they shouldn't. Having canopy on their devices gives me peace of mind that they are protected as best as they can be. Any problems that I've run into I have contacted customer support and they've been polite, professional, a efficient in fixing my problems.
