I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled this app multiple times over the last year (literally) and it never works. It gets to the part asking if you want to add a printer and I say 'yes'; it searches and searches then I always get the same message that the app has stopped working and the option of 'report' or 'ok'. YES my phone is connected to my WiFi, the same WiFi that the printer is connected to, so that is not the issue. Further, this has happened with 2 different internet/WiFi providers (Optimum & Verizon) and I'm very tech savvy (in school for IT/Cybersecurity!), so me using the app/connecting devices is NOT the issue. I don't even know why an app is necessary; the printer is wireless and gives off a signal (which I even wirelessly connected my phone to), so we should just be able to connect the 2 and print like that, no 'middleman' needed! So I will uninstall yet again and continue to be frustrated. FIX THE ISSUE...I'm not the only one experiencing this, so it must be the app, not us!

Smooth sailing so far. Easy set up, prints are very acceptable. Photos are of good quality. Best feature,for my use, is wireless printing from phone. I download a pdf, press send to my canon app and pretty much press print. You can change paper size and other things, but i leave a sleeping dog alone. I can't print from a different location such as another town, country, or if I can I don't know how, but anywhere in my home or on the porch is easy peezy.

The App and the Printer work much better than anything made by HP however it is not the most intuitive. As with most software being designed today it is not fluid or intuitive. When done printing a document It should just back out to the option of either cloud storage or smartphone. Or it could give me the option to format a query so I can just print all items I need to in one go.

Both this and the canon photo editor app are big disappointments. Usually canon is very thoughtful with their designs. This apps lack functionality that I expect from them. I can't shrink images, I can't print part of an image, last image I printed on printed part of the image that I actually wanted. I can print images in only black and white. Horrible design. Printer is good though. But the apps need to be redesigned.

My canon printer worked great till I had to reinstall the app and the printer. The printer is absolutely useless because the app has a bug or something and as soon as you try to print you get error messages and then a message that the app is compromised. I have deleted it and reinstalled it on my phone and other devices but I continue to get the same message. Without the app the printer is useless and a waste of money.

It is the most frustrating printer I have ever owned. Constantly having to reconnect to the app to get it to work. Downloaded drivers on laptops and still not functional, only on the phone when it feels like it. Now I get the same error message that the Canon Print App had a bug and it doesn't finish the process. Waste of time and money.

So so Picture preview is difficult with many cropped and displayed upside down and unclear. Wont let you look at different albums, so you have to sort through all of your pictures in one big collection where it will all the sudden jump to halfway through. App appears to downgrade resolution on print. Once printing begins you have to wait until finished before you can do anything else with the app.

Quick printing from Android or PC when not directly connected to the printer. The Wi-Fi printing setup is super easy and very convenient. Whether it's a single document, a picture, a picture, or a multi page presentation. I love this app. I can print from down the hall or remotely. It gets the job done either way wireless or directly connected.

Had my printer for 3 years and never had to reconnect it on the app. But all of a sudden, it shows it's not connected to the wifi on the app on every device in the house. My partner and I have tried at least 20 times each to get it reconnected to no avail. The printer is definitely connected to the wifi router as I can see on my router app which leaves the problem being this app. I can't even use my printer

3/5 The app is functional and works as it should. The reason for my rating is the UI is a bit sluggish in areas. The lack of extra functions for searching for images. I'm unable to inspect the images file details to verify which image is correct. May it be by file name, or date. It makes it difficult to find the exact one if you have a real of images with the same posture. The lack of ability to zoom in on the preview image is also lacking. Setup was a breeze!

I've been using this app for about 6 years on my Canon printer, I am not tech savvy at all but this app makes it so easy friendly to navigate all of the different features this app provides, it's actually fun when you got to create a greeting card or activities for the little ones and print right from your mobile device, this app is pretty easy to navigate it was very easy to install the app and print or create anything from my phone.

thought I had to install this to use my new Canon printer with my cell phone. turns out I didn't need this app at all. the instructions to print with only your cell phone isn't in the quick start info that comes with the printer but is in the user manual found online or maybe on the cd-rom that comes with the printer. you have to enable 'access point mode' and then androids pre-installed apps will do the rest. beats the heck out of sharing precise location with canon for no reason

Absolutely sucks, I have a TCS phone and the app will not let me get any further than the initial screen where you're supposed to accept once I hit the accept button it freezes up and goes nowhere. I've tried uninstalling reinstalling I've tried everything I can think of and it just won't work therefore I cannot set up my printer.

The printer works okay but the computer itself refuses to let it download correctly with a struggle. Reprogram the computers back like they used to be when the computer reconize the printer and sets it up for yo, without the hassle that most computer services are now. Look at your ratings section. It's proven on record just how bad the map system is now.. Do something about and program or develop it to be compatible with all apps, reasonable old or the newer app also make your downloads count.

REVIEW UPDATE, Congratulations! I don't know how you did it but you actually made the app worse. -- As stated in the other cannon app review, it's usless! Every time I use it it says the printer is not available. Then, I have to spend up to 30 minutes addressing that. Usually the end result is a reboot of the printer, router or the phone. It's literally easier to email and print files from my laptop.

So far so good. The reason I give it 4 stars is as of now is because I am still not able to print directly from my device (android phone) as it claims can be done without the app from what I understood by connecting via wifi or Bluetooth (ideally). I hate the very extensive user agreements about selling info to 3rd parties etc and Cannon does not seem to have all that nonsense which is difficult to find to put it mildly. Easy to use and set up and ink seems to last a very long time.

It took a bit to get accustomed to. I have previously used Samsung Print service. While and adjustment (everything changes and updates - constantly it seems!) I am pleased with my initial experience with Canon PRINT. Fingers crossed that it will continue that way and not be a challenge! (I am not the most tech savvy!)

The setup process is straightforward. It didn't work at first but inexplicably synced up after five minutes of me repeating the same steps over and over again. I made a copy of sla simple black and white handwritten checklist using the smartphone copy function - and the copy came out too light. So, I made a copy two times - taking a better picture one time and shifting to monochrome printing in the third attempt. For all three copies, the printout was too light.

Sometimes it works; sometimes, it won't. I have the app on my android 14 phone, which is connected to home Wi-Fi. I have 2 printers that connect to the same Wi-Fi. When I use the app to print a document or image, sometimes it can't find one or both printers. If it finds one, then occasionally, it can't scale the output to the selected page size. When it works, I'm happy with it.

It works, but it's lacking some features that would definitely improve it. Being able to adjust sizes with actual measurements on screen, the ability to line up multiple images within one page print, and for some reason, no matter what, I can only print one page at a time from my phone. This isn't an issue with my PC. It's okay, there's Definitely some lag to it, but it's functional.
