Very good app, but please give us the option to change the aspect ratio, that would be great, thank you. After few days using the app, i having issues, the camera won't stay connected to wifi, the only way to fix it is it's resetting the power one or twice a day, that's annoying...

Must have been designed by somebody without any concern for usability. The most frustrating thing is when you get it to fullscreen in landscape modeand the phone turns the screen off . When I bring the phone out of lockmode, the app goes back to it's start page. The next frustrating thing is the stupid preset handling. Unfortunately, I have to use it because my camera does not use the proper onvif protocol for the microphone and the better apps can not handle it.

This application was working perfectly fine but after a few of the recent updates it sucks. When you zoom in or out it will keep zooming in after you let go of the button... Another problem you're not able to change the frame rate and stuff like that when it comes to video settings. You're only allowed to change one or two things. Before I was able to change everything

Very nice app, but still some issues. Cameras wired to router work the best. My wireless camera had 60% signal strength and can work for days, but then if signal is lost for a moment, it is lost forever, at least until I cycle power to the camera so it resets. Would be much nicer if it could come back automatically. If I am away from camera location there is no way to cycle camera power to make CamHiPro work again.

The app has difficulty connecting to my 4 cameras even though there is plenty of wifi signal strength. There should be a way to refresh or restart the app to connect with the cameras without rebooting the phone. After a few seconds of viewing, you get "Network anomaly," and camera disconnects, why? This even happens to cameras close to the router. The app web developer URL address sets off unsafe alarms when trying to reach. In the future, this app, and products using it, should be avoided.

Works with SV3 brand of camera. Before it wouldn't give alerts even when it was supposed to. (Program was supposed to run in background and wouldn't). However the latest update DID fix that part. Picked this app because I can schedule the motion alerts to my phone to only be turned on at certain times of day or days of week. However, with the latest update I am getting motion alerts constantly. I even deleted the schedule and set it back up, but it is still going off during business hours and I don't need it to. Can CanHiPro look into this? Would give 5 starts if this was working correctly again. Thanks.

Some better than the first app but still very finicky! The date and time keeps changing, I have to keep reseting it! I sync it with my phone but it still jumps ahead. Can't set it to eastern time, keeps forcing me to set it with Hong Kong time for whatever reason. Update: Since my first review just to let u know, if your camera goes offline u cannot set it up! I get a message, cannot set up a camera offline! No way to connect it if it loses connection!

Developer, you REALLY need to fix the app. My main gripe is that the app. Is that when you select camera. It'll say it's disconnected. But if you close the app and open it and select the camera it'll say "disconnected" but it'll reconnect the 2nd try. It's as if the camera is connected but the app itself doesn't know what to do. I am not buying anymore cameras if you can't fix this. I'm trying to watch for introducers and I can't afford for the cameras to disconnect whenever they want.

The app is fine but you can't turn off the night vision at night, it makes it difficult to see license plates from the reflection in infrared and full color mode. The camera rarely focuses enough to see them. My street is well lit enough to see license plates without nightvision. I've seen comments from a couple years ago and this still hasn't been addressed. And they are still ignoring us. I'll change my rating when it is.

I have tried using the app with a Topodome camera, it is what they recommend. The app does not work consistently on your LAN, it has to have WAN so your video and info can be transmitted to servers someplace in the world. This is how most of these apps are made, more interested in spying and collecting data. The camera shuts down, freezes, erases the sd card on its own. I would not depend on this app for anything. I have tried some others, to sum it up as a mess of compatibility problems with dependability problems and developers that lie and are deceptive.

Good app overall. easy to use and easy to setup new cam. I would give it 5 stars of it had a user selectable motion detection area. this functionality is important especially if you live on a busy road with a lot of car traffic. Even with sensitivity set very low, the software can't filter out the traffic. I get motion detection alarms all day. Add selection area for motion detection and i will tell all my friends to get this app

It's pretty good, and fast, except it has difficulty reconnecting the cameras when the app has been running in the background. You have to exit it, and open it again which is a little bit annoying. I wish that it had pinch to zoom to quickly zoom into a part of the image. What's the point of having a 5mp camera if you can't zoom in on the image easily?

For a low budget camera I gotta say after almost a year it's been doing it's job . I've had no issues with reliability. Now I do have 2 things I'm sure come on more expensive models but this is what kept this camera from it's 5 stars. 1) you cannot turn off the night vision it's always on and at night I think that option would be great. I live in the suburbs and there is enough ambient light that I don't always need it. 2) not enough zoom . Other than that it's been rock solid !

I like the app overall, but there are a few things I wish were different that maybe the devs, if they read these things, would look into adding. 1: on the group page, it would be nice to be able to choose how many cameras you want to show. The only option currently is a 4 way split screen. I only have 2 cameras, so when I go into the group, I have to look at 2 blank screens. It's annoying for a nerd like me. 2: Being able to choose a certain time frame would be nice. Devs feel free to email

So the reviews are talking about connection issues. The first camera had no issues connecting via phone to wifi to camera. The second one couldn't be found. So I walked over to my router and plugged the camera directly into it via the provided Lan line. Both popped up. Next I had slight issues with the recorded footage being saved to the SD card. After re-reading the steps it told me to go into the time zone settings and move it from Hong Kong to Chicago time (for me) no more issues!

Version 3.0.30 Issues with software maintaining connection. Other IoT devices still connected and operational, however, this IP camera goes in and out of connection despite it being right next to the router. So, depending on how the app feels that day, you get to monitor or not. This is not a reliable product and having to seek other solutions. Unfortunately, adding to the list of other users experiencing the same.

App was originally installed in March when I bought the camera and it worked great. Ever since the last update, however, the camera always goes offline with "Network anomaly!" messages after 10-30 seconds. Neither the camera nor the wifi router has moved or changed and all my other comm functions and IoT apps work perfectly. I suspect one of the "bug fixes" has introduced a bug. I'm a retired IT guy and I can't even find any documentation on what the "Network anomaly!" msg means.

The app is functional, but has some annoying quirks. For example, I have a camera with optical zoom so when I zoom in/out I ONLY want the optical zoom to be employed. However CamHiPro's zoom buttons control both optical and digital zooms simultaneously, giving odd effects. The app should either have separate optical and digital zoom buttons or it should have an option to disable the digital zooming.

Did not set up over wifi. I had to physically connect the lan in order to set up. I found setup to be difficult and cantankerous. Connecting the app to camera was no problem but getting the camera on on wifi was. I am also experiencing problems with alerts. I can drive by the camera and no alert is triggered but if a bug flys by that's an alert. Horrible.

User for 3 years, no "Patrol Mode". Would really like to see a Patrol Mode allowing it to move to preset locations periodically. It would help keep the cameras from freezing up during cold NW Minnesota winter months. They have to remain fixed position until spring. Own 6, 2 of which failed due to defective LEDs. Also, write down your info as the stickers degrade within a month outside. The Smart Life app has Patrol Mode, but these cameras will not work with Smart Life unfortunately
