Cambly – Learn English

It's very useful platform to improve English. Thanks to many tutors for being in Cambly. However, Mobile app and web interface need to be improved. * We can not reach tutor's profile page by clicking the name on favourite tutor list. * When we click "download the video" it is not downloading video actually, it is just opening downloadable link on web browser and web browser is playing the video itself. It would be useful to have real download button that downloads the video as well. * We can not reach PROGRESS section from mobile App (android). There is an option called "Chat History" but we can not see the exact video time which correction made. On web browser we can see it. That's all for now. Thanks for wonderful app Cambly.

Cambly is good. Recently I started using it. Excellent experience. No problems in talking with native speakers. All are friendly and advises us on many topics. They talk nicely and correct our mistakes smoothly. One more advantage having Cambly is, it gives us recorded video. This is an outstanding feature. I telly you why. The recorded video gives us some kind of introspection chance. Till now I had conversations with tutors from America, Canada, UK, South Africa. After talking it is giving me some kind of pleasure and boosting my confidence. We cannot be proficient speakers unless until we speak regularly with someone having a good grip on English.

The service is good, but the app isn't. I often have issues with airpods, sometimes video has frizzed. Even on pixel phone. When I try to reconnect, it drops my daily minutes limit so I have to open a ticket in support. I don't want to buy a subscription for the next year. I've found great tutors here, but the learning platform makes me disappointed too often.

When we talk to our friends, and we don't know the words in English we can simply say it in our own language, and that's fine. However, talking to a native speaker is definitely the real test. I loved Cambly because the tutors are very friendly, and they focus on what it is most relevant for us. When they want to explain something important, especially phrasal verbs and idioms, they usually type it, and we can see it on the screen. Cambly is an amazing tool! I truly recommend it! :)

A lot of usability issues in the app. I can't add the class to my Google calendar, the schedule links to the tutors profile doesn't work, some pages overlap the navigation bar

Is there any option to give 0 star. This app is scam don't buy any plan please. I took trail plan of 400 rupee to just ensure for my yearly plan . They connected me with tutor Mr Keith he was talking fine suddenly he just left the conversation after 2 mins and complete 30 min got deducted from my account I just wasted my money thank god I didn't took yearly plan. Plz dont waste you money . You can't even complaint about your problem . They don't respond.

I don't suggest to anyone this app because I could only take 3 lessons and when I try to book lesson, it is asking me to pay extra money. So you will have a lots of problem when you enter to it. Even they don't answer you if you ask some questions. I'm really sad because I thought this app is helpful to me but after 3 days , it doesn't give my lessons

I’m really frustrated with Cambly’s payment options. My debit card was declined twice, leading to it being blocked, and I’m unable to renew my subscription. Why doesn’t Cambly accept UPI or Google Pay? These are widely used and convenient payment methods. I’m wasting my time with this process—can someone help me pay through UPI or GPay? Why only debit or credit card?

Good app for speaking with native English speakers. It's simply amazing to connect with people from all corners of the world. My tutors are friendly and helpful and always help me improve my speaking. I have a 60 minute subscription, I do two 30 minute classes per week, and it's true: Practice makes progress! 😉☺️😎🇬🇧 Only problem for me is the price... I received an email announcing a price increase, I don't know yet if I could renew it. I'm not convinced by group classes 😕😐

A little learning is a dangerous thing. If you Don't really know your level download that App, Cambly. you will surely know your level. I'm sincerely proud of that App. I personally want a coach, but I need to interact with a teach on the website. So, if you can help me to do that, it will amazing for me.😀

Best learning experience! I have been a student on Cambly last year. I wanted to improve my English communication skill and talking to people all around the world and signed up for cambly last year. Now, after so many lessons from free lesson to interviewing practice with a large variety of tutors, I have locked to about 100 hours. Now, I am joining Cambly to be tutor to help out all students around the world to practice their English skill. It is worth it for the annual membership :))

I created a tutor profile and it shows me as a student and a tutor. Also, it would be nice if they offered a message board or something to post messages for students. Like I had to cancel because of technical issues or emergencies. Revised. Apparently the App is only made for students. I can not ,as a tutor, access anything being it still shows me as a student. Confused

This is a wonderful application to practice English speaking. Person can subscribe to plans with own choice and it also gives you the flexibility for opting for minutes per session, schedule it which is amazing. Person can practice any accent on the basis of chosen tutor. Its best for practice to speak universal language English. I am really happy and satisfied to improve my conversation ,accents and vocabulary. As application have feature to see and review past classes with native speakers which gives way to improve communication.

No tutor support whatsoever which is unacceptable. I can't adjust reservations from the app, can't message anyone I haven't already messaged via web. This has been a huge problem when I've had power outages and have been unable to message students. The mobile web page also doesn't let you send new messages. I understand not tutoring from the app but let us manage things!! None of these functions are hard to implement. It's ridiculous.

Highly recommended to anyone who wants to improve their speaking. If you are looking for an effective way to learn how to speak fluently (for whatever reason such as IELTS speaking part), then you will find it the most useful app. Notice that it will not improve your writing or reading or listening as much as speaking because its aim is only speaking. Overall 5/5.

App is okay. Doesn't allow you to do too much from a teacher's standpoint. Recently, when I click on messages the app crashes! I've uninstalled and reinstalled but it still does the same. UPDATE!!!!!! (1/19/20) The app no longer crashes when I click on messages! Their new updates seems better so far! Now all I need is for it to be more tutor-friendly where we could make reservations, cancel them, and view our schedules! I'm sure this is soon to come. The new look is good. Love the colors!
