I have been using this app for a long time every time when I needed to drop a few vanity pounds. It has proven to be very helpful - without it one has no idea how much one really consumes. This app has been relatively bug free, their new improvements actually improve your experience, and it has the most user friendly, easy to use UI I have seen in such apps. Very happy with it.

Although I love this app for food tracking the availability to export, and the lack of ads,. I hate that it won't sync your weight with Google fit. If you're trying to watch what you eat more than likely you're trying to lose weight or gain and with all the Wi-Fi scales these days it would make sense to be able to sync the weight with this app.

Update: Tried using again. Workouts don't subtract from total caloric intake. Whether or not that is correct math, that's what I'm looking for. Otherwise app isn't too bad. I keep trying to find an alternative to MyFitnessPal (too many clicks for every task, ads, etc.) but alas my search continues. I don't need fancy, literally just the following: - accurate food database - easy to use UI - weight loss calculator/daily intake for target weight loss BY TARGET DATE - workouts calculated in.

Awesome app, much easier to use than FatSecret. I'm really enjoying inputting everything I eat in a day, because finding foods or creating my own, incl. my own meals is so easy! The food library is astonishingly wide. And I love that it's a free app, too! The best feature of all is the daily goals setting and the Nutrients tab, which clearly shows the nutrients breakdown and calories I have left, so it's easy to pick my dinner foods to successfully finish off my daily goal.

Please stop messing with this app. Originally it was perfect, food listed by meal or just a general food search. Then it was changed to, okay here's a few foods you had for this meal and then here's some you've never had for this meal. Whatever, I just adjusted and went with it. Now it's constant pushing to upgrade and no way to get rid of extra buttons for water tracker and custom meals. As the old saying goes, don't fix it if it ain't broke...

This is a pretty good tracker for weight management with extensive food database and reporting options. It loses a star (IMHO) for uneven coverage of units available for food (only cups and grams in some cases, for example) and for lack of fully integrating nutritional advice. For example, the reports don't adjust the percentage of macronutrients recommended based on the reduction in calories. Overall though, it's useful.

I love the interface, and the wide variety of ways to view data. This app does more than just count calories. It allows you to think about the quality of the calories, and that is important to me. My only complaint is that when you search for a food, different vslues come up. E. G. Sometimes spinach is 7 calories sometimes 11. I assume it's user input that can't be 100% accurate. Thank you for continually improving it!

Good way to keep track of daily intake of food. It's a bit of a pain the first two weeks because you have to input your food's nutritional info, but once thats done it's fine. Easily searches and finds food (when in their database). One thing, it has never been able to sync with Samsung Health so you won't know your real calorie surplus/deficit as their calorie count default isn't accurate to you (and you can't input the correct count off of watch/app). Hopefully this will change soon.

It's very easy to log my food and the nutrition reports are very good. It has a major bug in that it opens the wrong date when you enter your food. However I've found the calories limits that support weight loss. Two improvements I'd like are 1. easier way to locate custom entered foods using the search and 2. display calcium in the nutrient list.

You can't create an actual meal as a free account... you can only use pre-recorded recipes already in the app. Things can be added as a 'saved meal', but when added to the tracker, it's ALL of the ingredients listed individually instead of the name given to the group of ingredients. FORGET trying to split that down into servings for multiple portions. There are too many ingredient options possible to match actual ingredients in the stored recipes to what I have for the same nutritional content.

Great for keeping me focused on the food I put in my mouth.. WHEN I track the food & am HONEST about the amount.. it really helps me to do better @ the quality & quantity of the food I consume. :-) plus as an added bonus it can b synced to my computer or tablet thru my email address so when changing phones or devices I won't loose (a punn!! :-) ) my progress or have to recreate the "wheel".. Well, it is 8 YEARS later. Still using the app. I still love this app.

Very intuitive and full of options for documenting food consumption. I enjoy the fact that if the meal or food item you wish to enter into your diary isn't there, you can easily create your own and store it for later entries- with a spot for necessary nutritional information. Very helpful app for the carnivore diet as it's user friendly and shows percentage of fat and protein (as well as carbs, etc but I'm only interested in the first two mentioned haha). Amazing app for all that's offered free

This app has helped me lose my first 5 pounds in 3 weeks. It has a pay wall for some features but it has most everything you could want free. I love that it tracks macros and calories in such an intuitive way. It makes calorie counting, which is normally a pain, easy. My wife was a skeptic and now she's doing it and loves seeing how what she is eating is really looking calorically and ultimately calories are all that really matter for weight loss (albeit they aren't the end all for health).

Interface designed by programmers, not users. Very difficult to navigate between yesterday and today (for those of use who don't enter all the data for dinner). Recent foods don't include ALL recent foods with no rhyme or reason. Recent foods are named differently from in the database [like Acme chicken breast vs. Chicken Breast (Acme)] which makes scanning for recent foods difficult. Can't enter my own foods and recipes. A clunker of a program like it was written 20 to 30 years ago.

The user interface is nice and fairly easy to use. Main complaint is that there is no way to manually into food and must be in the lookup database... This is very frustrating as many food items are not available and leaves one having to use work arounds which increases error abs misinformation on calorie intake and macros. Edit: updated rating as the app creators reached out and provided helpful feedback. I feel that add food option could be more intuitive and easier to locate.

The food data base is quite extensive. it covers most things I eat and it is easy to add new items. I like how easy it is to track my food and exercise. I don't use the other tools. The product is free, but I would pay an annual subscription for it. Fast forward to 2024... I used this app for a whole year (2015-16) and it helped me lose 50 lbs just by tracking me daily intake. I could see my caloric count. I logged everything quite diligently. When I got my target, I stopped using it.

Ive been using the app for a little bit now and its been a great experience. I have run into a few issues here and there but have either found work arounds or changed what I was trying to do. The app has a free barcode scanner which is ver helpful. One thing that I found that confuses me is when creating a recipe, the app only saves 8 steps in the directions and wont save anything after. Not sure if that is by design bit it makes it harder to write down recipes when things take more than 8 steps

Very good, you can track macros along with calories. Needs to make the distinction between sugar alcohols, allulose and sugar though (This hasn't changed in the 6 years I've used this app) Also is adding duplicate entries to the database when attempting to correct nutritional information.l, with no way of deleting the duplicates.

Works great! I read somewhere that it's the best app to use in terms of the free side, and I think I agree. Tracking weight, workouts, calories, and percentage of macro intake have been super helpful in weight loss. Only problems are with some UI trouble. Deleting a saved meal is difficult or impossible, I haven't figured out how to do it. Clicking on things accidentally happens, as it can be finicky. Overall great experience!

An absolutely fantastic app! It has become an invaluable tool for me to stay healthy. I credit it with being a huge part of my 70 lb weight loss. I'm absolutely amazed everyday at the size and depth of their database. There has not been one food, grocery store, restaurant that it doesn't have listed. The free version is absolutely amazing by itself but the options you get with a paid subscription is even better.
