This is a great automatic call blocker! Everyone should have one. I would recommend this one for sure! The only improvement I can see is to add SMS control as well. To be effective it should have the capability to backtrack to verify if the non-contact call is linked to a contact. Example: The app should be able to access all numbers related to a contact such as the info where various services number is listed. Aetna has several numbers for their various services like Access2Care, transport

Works as promised, love it! Except for one little thing.... It blocks any calls and, most importantly, voicemails I don't want. Most spam/scam callers call several times and just leave silent voicemails. Finally being able to avoid that is great. However, my one peeve is that this app will ALWAYS have a notification on my screen. Always. I don't want to turn off notifications entirely, but it's all-or-nothing - even if it's just telling me that it's there and working. It's annoying to see them.

Update: Ongoing problem on Android that the app keeps turning my Ringtone to mute. So annoying. Solved: blocks spam calls pretty well. I have it set as my default phone app. But when I am on a call and switch to any other app such as my photo gallery, I can't get back to the call in progress. Call Control only shows a list of recent calls with no access to the call in progress! I have to TURN OFF THE PHONE to hang up! Also I now have duplicate contacts when synced to my car via Bluetooth.

I've been getting 15+ calls from the same area code for the past few days. I tried two other apps before downloading this one. This was the last one on my list to try and I almost didn't bother. I'm glad I did! At first it let a call through and I was so frustrated, but unlike the other apps, this one had settings I could change. Once I changed it to "disconnect" calls instead of the "default" option, it caught and ignored all 10 calls I received from that area code! Finally, some peace!!

Overall it has worked well, but eventually i wind up having issues. I've used this for years and have had it on 3 or 4 different phones. while it doesn't catch every call and performance can vary from excellent to missing the ball quite often, it's been reliable. Currently it is stuck displaying text in German language and i can't get it to recognize my prior purchase/ subscription.

UPDATED: Thanks for the response, exactly what I was looking for. Still kept rating at 4 stars (not 5) because the app is not entirely intuitive, a few hidden corners. Functionally, it's a 5-star app. But the interface could be improved. Useful app. But there used to be an option to block all calls from numbers not in your contacts list. No longer have that option, and now too many spoofed phone numbers get through.

Blocks what I need it to. Once in awhile a blocked number will get through but not enough to matter. I have it set to disconnect the calls so I don't even have to listen to it ring. (To the developers: I never give anything 5 stars. The highest I will rate something is 4 because to me, no app is perfect no matter how hard you try. So, if I give you 4, then I like it enough to keep it 😃)

Update 5.22.24 - the phone rings, thank you, but the pop up is still there. I want the call screen to take over the whole screen like it did before. Not fixed completely. Also want to add that my custom ringtones not being played ... No ringing. Like everyone else says, with this update this app is not what it's supposed to do. I would like to have it ring for my contacts and to not have a pop up when someone calls. I've already cleared the cache eventhough that doesn't do anything.

Caller ID is non-existent(no auto identify names just numbers) but scam blocking-wise it's perfect. Also, no way to view voicemail . But still, tried so many apps over the years and none have been this affective. Paid version is well worth it(only $30 for entire year) Cool design and UI, easy to use, database updated by the minute thanks to community support.

Retried this app 10 years later, and it still doesn't work. I need an app to stop spam calls from leaving voicemails. This one is supposed to work, but even with all 1000 intrusive settings enabled, it still lets some spam calls slip through and leave messages despite the numbers being blocked. And that feature is premium, and stops working completely after the free trial ends. What a garbage app

Too many notifications, even when disabled. I got this app because I get a ton of spam calls from a specific area code and when I block them they just make a new number, 6-7 times per day. This app is great at actually blocking the call, but the drop notification followed by a pop-up that covers my entire screen and blocks whatever I'm doing is excessively annoying. I have all notifications disabled and it didn't change a thing. Aside from the crazy "We just blocked this call!" It's a great app.

This was a great app until recently. There was the problem where it wouldn't ring at all. That got fixed. Now it rings once, shows the answer screen for only a few seconds, and it disappears. So unless you are right on top of the phone expecting a call, you're going to miss it. There needs to be a setting to control the length of time the ringer rings and the screen displays.

This app worked great, but lately, it isn't working like it is supposed to. I have a number blacklisted as disconnect, which is supposed to drop the call and not send it to voicemail. However, that same number has been leaving voice-mail messages, which I need to go in and delete. Obviously, a bug has developed in the software that I hope is fixed soon.

Worked ok for a time. But for what it costs, I expected much more. I still had tons of spam calls. Also, it would activate do not disturb mode on my Samsung and not turn it off. So I would not receive calls I wanted. Most recently, it will not allow the phone to ever ring. No matter what setting I change. It will pop up that someone is calling, but not tones, and no vibration. I had high hopes. I still have 6 months that I paid for, but am deleting it. Look elsewhere. Don't waste your money.

Have used this App for several months. I find it to be a very good App at blocking unwanted calls and TXTs. I have purchased it to remove the Ads. 5/15/24 Update (down graded from 5 stars to 3) Started to have issues where incoming unblocked calls don't ring. This issue has been going on for a few weeks. Wonder if there was an update??

Everything in the app works fine except when someone calls its silent. No ringtone at all. Nothing is on silent, do not disturb is off, etc. I've done everything you can do besides a full phone reset which i won't do. I think it has to do with an update. Love the app, but if i don't have sound when people call, I don't know they are calling. What good is having the app?

As of 05/18/2024 update, app is still NOT working/ringing! In fact, I think they made it worse! -------------------------------------- After the last update, My phone stopped ringing on all calls as well. Deleted cache & data but, no change. Also deleted app and reinstalled but still, no change; phone does not ring when using Call Control as default app (rings when switched back to "phone" app.)

Call Control used to be my favorite app, but it's been destroyed recently by poor updates that have stopped the phone from ringing. There used to be no audible ring, but at least I could still answer the call. The next update ruined it further. Now the missed call notification screen pops up while a call is coming in with no way to answer the call. What if it's an emergency and there's no way to answer the call? This is dangerous and irresponsible and the developer doesn't seem to have a clue.

After the latest update and/or improvements to your app, my phone rings silent. Do not disturb is OFF, ringer volume is UP, nothing is muted, or etc. I thought it was a phone glitch, but as soon as I no longer had you selected as my default call app, it rings! It's very frustrating! I love your app, so please fix this issue asap! **Latest update, dated May 15th, did NOT fix the issue**

This app works great! It blocks calls on the community block list so you never have to deal with them & is easy to use. You can set it to disconnect the blocked call or send it to voicemail in case it might be a call you're interested in. You can set a number of variations to meet your preferences as well. I've been using it for almost 10 years now & it has never let me down. UPDATE: I dropped one star because phone number look-up has never found any info for me. Not one single time.
