The Cairn app is working well again. I feel reassured to know others will be alerted if I do not make it out of the woods.

Not a serious hiker but the does a nice job of tracking distance and time. Si far it has had maps for everywhere we have wanted them

Great tracking app when I am out for a run or bike ride. My partner knows where I am and when I am expected home. Much better then other apps we have tried.

Doesn't do the one thing I have it for now.... I want my money back.. This app used to be handy for letting people know you were safe/location on the trail but it stopped doing that.

Works great except for when it doesn't. My last track shows a straight line on a route that was anything but straight

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy way to give a heads up to friends when I'm planning solo trips, and include them a bit by letting them track my last seen location.

Was very hopeful of this app and totally disappointed. Nowhere can I find anywhere to explain the features, track my hike or link to the 52 challenge. If it's in there I haven't found it. Just disappointed 😞

SMS notifications don't work of you have more than one safety contact. Update: increased to three stars as I found it works with some default SMS apps and not others. Still not good.

I tried a few apps for hiking, and this one is just perfect. Clear interface, super dependable, everything that I need and more. Thank you! 🙏

As a solo female traveler overseas, I am so grateful that I can notify my safety circle when I'm going on trails alone and they can know to send help if I haven't checked back from my destination. It even sends them an alert so they can enable services, should I need them. With the maps I can be confident with where I'm going and plan my route!

I was hopeful that the app would allow me to plan a trails trip. I can't seem to add more than 1 point to point trail. I want to be able to customize it to make multiple stops and then download the map.

Changing my vote to 5 stars. Developer contacted me, in regard to previous review, on how to make the app better and have similar functionality as the ios version for Android. For me, that shows the developer cares about the product they put out and the end user more than making money. I'm old school "customer service" and being "genuine" means a lot. Looking forward to adding locations and information for trails in the northeast are of PA and NJ. Pocono area has the best trails in the nation.

Easy to use. Most other hiking apps have too much going on. If you need that kind of in depth then buy a hiking gps. This app is user friendly and works great. Love the satellite maps and the ability to download for offline. Absolutely love this app.

It says 30 day free trail. I had the free trail for 3 days and it automatically canceled it for some reason.--correction. I previously gave it a 1 star due to my subscription being automatically canceled but Cairn reached out right away and fixed the problem without hesitation.

It's ok. Not as good as the reviews. Seems to track the route ok, and give basics like differences in start and end elevation, time and distance, but that's it. Once recording a journey the notification won't disappear. Not seen anything special.

From other hiking maps I am used to get a list of trails with rating of difficulty when searching an area for some hikes. With this app there is no such feature available, at least I couldn't find it. I think this app could be useful and great if you already know the trails and name if the trails you want to hike. Other than that useless app.

Maps do not completely download, they freeze at around 80 percent. No way to unsubscribe, no way to contact support, I've tried emailing and messaging then on social media, and no way to stop your account being charged unless you buy a new debit card from your bank. It's just a scam, use farout or alltrails, they're the same price

The Best Outdoor app I have found. Downloaded as a budget alternative to Inreach as most of the places I go have some cell signal and needed something for family to track my trip. Saves me hunderds of dollars. The awsome design, offline maps that show cell signal spots, and trail stats are a bonus. I highly recommend this app to any outdoor folks.

Used when I'm in the field alone. I mostly have service at this site, so losing tracking offline isn't a problem for long. I haven't figured out how to select my actual work location as the destination, so I use a nearby town. All in all, it's unclear to me whether offline and custom destinations are options, but I haven't watched tutorials.
