The popular series, which has surpassed 2.5M total users, has evolved in a form that is easier to play and more freely enjoyable.

The simple, non-real-time operation allows you to enjoy a serious adventure where death is the only thing you have to worry about.
The best part of the Buriedbornes series is creating a powerful character that surpasses the terrifying army of undead and crushing them!

* The battle of the dead and the cooperative "Union"

The world is on the brink of ruin due to the invasion of the "Ancient Overlord" and his army of corpses, a threat suggested by the most ancient prophecies.
You will repeatedly challenge dangerous dungeons by acquiring corpses, altering them, and using the forbidden "Buriedbornes" art of possessing their souls.
It is a hopeless battle with no redemption or end, yet mankind has not given up on everything yet.
In various parts of the world, communities of survivors, each with their own goals, continue to resist.
By helping each other with them, we may find hope.

* Races, jobs, origins, equipments, skills, runes... countless combinations

At the start of the adventure, character creation is possible by selecting the race, job, and origin of the corpse to be used.
Each legendary equipments that can be found in each dungeon has its own unique abilities.
Up to 5 skills can be held, each of which can be set with up to 5 skill runes that can also be obtained in dungeons.
These elements allow you to build your tactics freely from a myriad of options.
You can build your builds systematically, or you can improvise and discover powerful builds through unexpected coincidences.

This is what the first game should've been. In the first game, playing correctly meant being so OP it was boring, until suddenly something randomly killed you. This game is much more balanced and requires active participation. You can play with as little or as much strategy as you want, and it just keeps expanding since there's an actual game progression. It's not just "unlock one thing and suddenly you're god". It encourages changing your strategy to adjust to changing circumstances.

The only complaints I have is the steep learning curve mostly through experience, okayish graphics, and messy translations. Yet, the gameplay is fun because of the ability to customize a character's race, background, and job along with a lot of opportunities to reroll skills or equipment to make tons of viable builds. For a free game, I've been having fun without needing to pay but I'm not sure if that'll change. If you like turn-based dungeon crawlers with a dark atmosphere it's worth a shot!

A step forward in quality, a step back in fun. Buriedbornes 2 takes the basic formula of Buriedbornes, gets rid of much of the headache from the terrible old UI, and updates the gameplay with a fresh coat of paint. Unfortunately, it also feels like all of the chaotic edges were sanded off in the process. For example, the new HP Stack system slows down every fight to a more manageable crawl but at the same time will suddenly end your run if an enemy randomly gets lucky and removes them.

review from a buriedbornes1 player with top tier scores. indie game. amazing potential. truly great free game. passionate developer. trust that the game will improve over time. it is poorly translated to English and that hinders gameplay. there is a lot to learn about the game and no quick or easy way of doing it. just a lot of grinding / trial and error. doesn't feel polished/finished. it may play better in the native language 3.5/5 or 7/5 in two years. be an early adopter and enjoy!

This game has not only brought back all the amazing stuff they had in the original game like the lab, jail, etc. but it also expanded on many things such as character creation, unions, events, even the English translation is a lot better. And it is much much easier to get gold shards. Looking forward to spending much time with this gem like I did the original. Thanks you nussygames

Maybe it's just me, but what is the point of a dungeon crawler if you always lose everything whether you win or lose a board? Got bored real fast dying by random OP monsters with no effective way to get stronger myself. Not my idea of a fun game, but the graphics seem good, and it looks like alot of effort went into it. Just makes no sense to me.

I loved playing the first one, a ton of classes, a ton of unique fights and dungeons, and so many rewards, all free to play. But this one, I love most of it except for the fact that you are forced to use the gold you got to join a guild to earn rewards, which each guild having limited rewards, so you don't get the experience of having the other equipment or classes, but I would ignore all that if not for the fact that skills have a limit, that part I don't understand, skills being consumable

Skills having limited uses drags the game down dramatically. If you happen to run out of attack skills during combat because an enemy can evade or otherwise recover from attacks, you have to sit there and waste time. At minimum, a "give up" button should be added so you're not just doing nothing for several minutes, but there should realistically be a default attack, as not having a fallback is just bad design.

Great gameplay and depth, but not finished. It can be a vlast... once you start to figure it out. Between translation errors, countless status effects/buffs/conditions flying about during battle, and unclear mechanics with limited explanation, it takes some getting used to. Once you do though, it's worth pretty worthwhile.

A step in the right direction- but a step back in terms of functionality. Overall, this game has made some great changes in tone and atmosphere from the first. From customization of race and class, the addition of runes, burst skills, the ability tree... it all handles really nicely. And yet the game falls flat, compared to the first. I am excited for this installation being a new step in the right direction, but by itself, it doesn't quite measure up to the original.

I unlocked every class and race in the first one and loved it. In this one grinding for faction to only one time purchase items that only have 1 time use does not quite feel good. Maybe regain 1 use on a timer? Also, in the first game the game had brilliant "smart drops" giving you equipment in line with your stats and build. It does not seem to be as smart in this one, especially with defense options. It won't tell that you are stacking evade or shield so it feels far more RNG for a good run.

Very unique and fun. Also very difficult to understand. Tons of content but very little explanation. I read every single thing presented as well as deep dive the descriptions at every opportunity and still feel like I have very little idea of what I'm doing. Just steamrolled halfway through a dungeon only to suddenly die in one round to enemy "quick infinite army" that had like 50 health bars. Yeah... it sure is one of the games of all time, heh.

One of the most addicting and challenging games you will find in here. As a slight negative I am finding some glitches/bugs that are pretty annoying, for instance, the gluttony fight in the temple will glitch out sometimes and the boss's invincibility buffs will stay permanently on it, making it completely impossible to become damaged, reloading the game will fix this but sometimes you have to reload the game multiple times through the fight to get it to work correctly.

The game is neat so far. The tutorial wasn't overbearing like most games, and the combat has a nice level of complexity to it that helps runs feel different from one another, though each run can get repetitive as they drag on. The health system can be difficult to work with, and unfortunately, most of the rewards are consumables. Some of the different races/classes are less fun to use than others and the music can be repetitive. The game is interesting, but it feels like it's missing something.

Absolutely addicting game, im hooked. I usually uninstall phone games after a few days of playing because it just becomes boring. But this game has no bounds, you can create so many different builds, with different races, classes and backgrounds; Which all have some type of ability or stat change. This game is very very good 👍👍

It reminds me of my first time playing any "Souls" game, Dark Souls 2. The information slowly comes together, the words are a bit loose, menus convoluted and overwhelming to the uninitiated; and then it clicks, and the game begins to open up and then it never stops. Brutal, but fun. And the unlocks are fun to customize together into whatever you like to play, always looking to that chance of good treasure, that perfect roll, which if you like to spin a lot, you can! 10/10, love it! 🏵

I've been having a pretty great time with the game, but I've had multiple points where my skill uses just... disappear? I'll buy a new skill to replace one that's empty and when I reach the next floor, all of my skills just instantly bottom out. even the one I've just purchased I'd doubt it's a game mechanic because it's just forcing me to lose when I'm a floor or two from the final. That's not fun.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but this is an actual gem. Took me a minute to warm up to the systems - you'll want to pay attention in the tutorial. The music is solid and the gameplay loop is engaging - I want to keep playing and unlocking new races and classes! I've recommended this to a couple of irl friends now- it's that good.

i really enjoy this game. the random nature of the dungeons keeps me coming back, and my favourite combination so far is the lycanthrope Taoist! I left the game for awhile but came back to it, and have encountered an issue. all of a sudden, skills that are supposed to give me light bullet (ray for example) fail to do so. I look at the combat log and it says that my character resisted light bullet. (failed roll) is this a glitch? am I missing something?

Combat is fast. Builds are varied and can easily be adjusted due to the random nature of the game. You go in thinking you're a physical multi-hit warrior, and you end up a summoner that cleared a dungeon. t The art is fantastically horrifying. Lots to unlock. I'm surprised this game is free to play. I'm not even sure where you could spend money in this game, and yet I want to keep playing.
