Random errors, and key features broken. Login failed twice with unhelpful errors, then worked third time. Can't view my bookings though, which is literally the only thing I actually want to do with the app. Apparently I can still do it through the website though, which is nice... 6 months on - still appalling! Random crashes, unhelpful error messages. I managed to check in after dozens of attempts, but whenever I start the app it forgets that. Just shocking...

I think this is perhaps the absolute worst app that I've ever used. It makes me not want to fly British Airways. When you try to upload a Covid document, it doesn't show PDF, only images can be uploaded. When you want to leave feedback on the app in a constructive way, it doesn't allow text entry. So as a result, I can't get my boarding pass. So I take screenprints of the PDFs. And STILL have to wait for the pass. I can't wait until my flight is over so I can delete this horrible app.

Basically doesn't work for most trips. Does the bare minimum badly, everything else forwards you to either call a number (which is never picked up), or a regular website. Maybe this is more a review of BA's shocking lack of service and competence in general. A specific example of a feature that didn't work was COVID documents upload, which constantly just had a greyed out submit button, as a result I wasn't able to check in online so had to arrive at the airport extra early.

Useless. I've used this app on many flights each time hoping it'll have been updated, but no luck! It never allows me to check in, never shows boarding pass, doesn't allow for any change to booking. Always tell me to seek assistance at the airport. What's the point of trying to check in early if I need to speak to someone at the airport! Useless app!

Absolutely horrific app. My husband needed to cancel his flight for a family emergency, but I was going to still travel. The app showed a screen that allowed someone to remove one of the travelers, but instead it cancelled the entire journey. There's a message to call their customer service, which puts you on hold for 20 minutes, and then disconnected. Absolutely outrageous!! If the app can't cancel one person, then it shouldn't allow people to cancel!! Booked on a different airline. Avoid!!

Absolute garbage. British Airways should be ashamed and embarrassed to have this as their app. Can't track flights, can't add multiple flights to app that you have booked, and if that's not bad enough it's full of ads. Can only add 1 flight at a time to monitor. Not only that, the app is not intuitive and does not look good at all. Absolute rubbish.

As a mobile app developer/manager of 10 years, this is a terrible app. It is in serious need of a good Product Manager. The way it handles common use cases is convoluted and cumbersome. Often, an action is taken and the outcome is unexpected. For instance, when checking in a group of travelers, a boarding pass is inly issued to the first passenger. To get the boarding passes for the others, you have to go into a different screen and manually request each additional pass.

Not a single part of this app functions. Want to check in? Sorry, the submit button doesn't do anything. Want to contact a person about your flight? Sorry, the phone numbers are regional, and the menu to show you them doesn't work. Want to leave feedback to BA about the app? Yea,the feedback form is a document that you can save to your clipboard. Copied that to your clipboard? Cool, we won't tell you where to send it. Ryanair figured out basic app development. Try again.

Awful, inconsistent app. I tried to uploady COVID form and it would not let me. I tried about 15 times, using different title, phone number, email, etc. 5he submit button just went gray and did nothing. When I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, it couldn't even find my reservation. There is no way to ask for help. Imy husband checked in on his app just fine. When I did everything he did (and twice he did it for me) it didn't work. Very inconsistent.

Perhaps the most useless app I know of as others have mentioned. I don't like to use hyperbole, but this app was stable only for a year or so (2020 or thereabouts), but recent updates have made it very unstable. I can't even log in, let alone look at my bookings which I know are there because they appear on the BA website. Really disappointed with this app and if it works for you, well, consider yourself lucky.

some of the worst airline apps out there. as a frequent traveller, this is not worthy of an international airline. it's slow, clunky, has severely limited functionality (checking in is a game of chance), doesn't update flight delays, has unreliable notifications, is buggy,... i could go on. it also looks like it was coded for the first iphone ever.

The fact that I can't submit my COVID documents on any platform and will have to arrive extra early to check in is majorly annoying. I contacted customer support and their response was to try a different browser and that they had lots of reports of issues with the app, so I tried Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. It still had the same issue where I click "submit" for my COVID documents, and then nothing happens. Contacted customer support again and was told that I would have to check in at the airport.

Simply does not work. Refresh error. Can't log in. Clear storage/cache, try again. Refresh error; can't update status/check in. Check in on desktop site. 3 more tries clearing storage, shows boarding pass for 1st but not 2nd flight and still shows errors. Boarding pass doesn't show gate or boarding info. You have to go back and start over to get that. The app is a harbinger of the overall experience with British Airways: nice branding, but thereafter a very poor experience for a "major" airline.

Very hit or miss on whether it will pull up your boarding pass. Reliability on boarding passes is honestly the baseline of what I need this app to do. Extremely stressful to have it not work when trying to navigate an airport. Better off printing boarding passes than relying on this for much of anything.

It's hard to believe a major airline would release such a bad app. The Android version won't even allow you to scan your passport in. It doesn't seem to be able to find upcoming flights unless you enter the booking reference. Overall it's just clumsy and slow with limited functionality.

British Airways would do well to look at their partner airline, American, to see how an airline app should actually function. So much wrong with the BA app that I don't know where to begin. Tedious, slow, confusing, convoluted, error-laden. Doesn't update in real-time. I don't think they actually want you to fly with them.

Very difficult to use compared to Other airlines. I've completed check in but I only get boarding passes for some of the travelers. I go back to the app the next day get a message that boarding passes not able because check in status is unknown. Then takes me to the boarding passes. Then when I click on the seats it tells me I'm not checked in.

It doesn't work. That simple. Forget that I had to sign up for a rewards program just to get a login, once logged in it won't let me see my boarding pass, won't update flight status, won't do anything. No links or buttons work. It's a mess. Maybe the iOS version works better but I have an Android (clearly) so I wouldn't know.

The app loses data once you switch to other app, refreshes and starts over, e.g. paying for seats selection. In case you wonder why no one is selecting paid seats. Upgrading flights - I select first one to upgrade to world traveler plus, select the connecting flight do not wish to change, but it gets upgraded to Club Europe which really boosts the price. This doesn't happen with the return flight. Reading reviews below, I am still lucky it mostly works otherwise.

Constant in app glitches. Want to add your Executive Number to a booking (which should automatically be added when you've signed in and booked IN APP)? App crashes. Want to change the date on a leg of your flight? App says "invalid date format" even though you've selected it from their calendar pop up. Absolutely infuriating. Almost as bad as having to call BA customer service.
