I had this light for years and loved it. The update is asking permission for photos/media/files, location, camera, wifi connection information, and phone ID and call information. Scary! I deleted it instantly. If they change these permissions, I'll reinstall and update my review.

I used to love this app! But i don't believe a flashlight should need to access my location, storage, or any other of the ridiculous permissions. But by declining those, the app won't work. In removing this one and looking for a real flashlight app that doesn't require ridiculous non related permissions.

I hate how the light turns off at a certain time. I get why it does it for battery preservation but its annoying. I have to keep clicking it on when it counts down and if I miss the count down it closes the app and I have to go in find it and open it up again.

I use it so often and most of the time I forget this great tool was provided to me at no cost and can't imagine a better phone light. Its absolutely great and thank you for introducing me to it. To those I know don't have a high quality phone light or completely oblivious to the fact it exists I always show them your app. Thanks again

2021 - They run large ads with white backgrounds on the screen that are so bright that you can't see what you are pointing the flashlight at. This was a good product but they forget what it is for. 2023 - still running large white ads blinding you and making the flashlight nearly useless. They do nothing about it.

I love this app! We use it a lot, looking for lost jewelry on the floor, reading menus in a restaurant, hooking up wires in the back of the tv... I always have my phone so I always have a flashlight handy! I like the sound it makes, too.

it's one of the worst flashlights I ever installed it makes a loud sound when I put it on, then it turns off on it's own making a loud sound once again.who needs or wants a flashlight that turns off by itself especially when ur using it and not done with it and why is the sound necessary I use it to get in and outta the house when everyone's sleeping and the lights are off!!!

This has worked amazing for me REALLY! until today when I had an emergency and it wouldn't turn on until I rated it. I had to hit any random stars thinking I could just get it to turn on as I needed to see to help. I don't even remember the star I gave it but thought who ever invented this probably would hate the fact that it was used in this way. I could see batteries dying in an old flashlight being my fault but my old flashlight wouldn't want me to rate it before it would turn on.

annoying, when i turn it on even if my phone is on mute it makes the loudest noises ever. when i have to walk down stairs at night when everyone is sleeping it wakes up everyone in my house with the starting up+ shutting off sound as well as the 5 second count down. And why does it have a count down just switch off when i exit the app

started using phone built-in flashlight due to inability to shut down display screen ads now making the flash light useless as the screen stays on shining light in your face or an obvious reflection/distraction and just makes it overall cumbersome and useless. You WERE able to choose which side you wanted, screen or flash, now you're stuck.

When it is dark and you have no other way to turn, not dark and desolate but need to shed light on these future plans. Everything in front of you can be seen. No need to look things over. If you need to look at the still life in front of you, light Cascades over the chairs, but it just feels good backlit, Brightest flashlight. Best App ever. #+trolls

The ad page popped up the moment i reluctantly accepted the terms and conditions to basically invade my privacy on all accounts, so they can share it with third parties. After that, i couldnt get passed the ad page. Due to not being able to even get into the app, i deleted it. This app is terrible with some phones and good on others. Im on an android, Galaxy J7 Crown. Apparently, that isnt a high enough end to be compatible. I give it 1 star for its lack of versatility and invasion of privacy.

My favorite flashlight app. It works really well for getting into those very dark places when you're trying to find something under your bed or in a closet or a dark garage. It's also great for regular use when you're getting around a house with no lights. I've even used it in my backyard at night. It also uses very little battery power considering what it is.

its brilliant bright, those dark spots under the table or behind televisions when trying to get those settings and cables sorted also bright enough to note down details model number and so on. And at night outside bright enough to illuminate round vehicle dropped keys or phone, in the pitch black, you can see enough to get you out of trouble changing tyres checking water etc, I tried a few others, but came back to Brightest Flash its on my screen apps and has been for about ten years.

Finally, found this app again and works just as well as I remember on my new phone Pros. Use white screen only as light, LED camera light, or both @ the same time; as well as timer adjustable from 2 to 10 mins or never turn off. Animated 5secs countdown before turn off(neat) FREE With only banner ads Con. Ads (very reasonable for free app in my opinion) Considering apps aren't free to make. Thanks for making this app and keeping it working for our phone for nearly a 10yrs Awesome work!!

The weird thing it absolutely is the brightest of the flashlights because I compared it to 5 others. I'm not sure how they did that , Since they all use the same light. However that being said it is Advertisement generated and apparently tracks a lot of your information. I would love it if they had a paid version where it was simply the best flashlight without all the trash.

This is Definitely the BEST flashlight !!! No buttons to turn on or off. Just tap Flashlight Icon to turn on & tap icon again to turn off. Click icon & go to settings to turn on screen light or back camera light or both at same time. You can also turn sound on/off. You can also set a timer if you wish. Or leave light on 24 hours. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FLASHLIGHT!! NO OTHER LIKE IT !!!! I HOPE EVERYONE GIVES IT 5 STARS !!!

It is very bright and helpful whether I am walking my dog at night or looking for something in the car or house. But it does not stay on very long, it cuts off after 2 or 3 min. And then depending on what I'm doing it can be a pain to stop and restart. It would be better with a longer time limit 5 - 10 min or maybe a confirmation before the session ends. "Are you finished y or n?" With default to end it if no answer.

Certainly the brightest flashlight app that I've used. Brighter than my stock flashlight which comes in handy when I need that extra light. My only complaints are one, when you turn off the screen on your phone the flashlight also turns off. Two and most important, the app asks for too many permissions, as stated here by other users. So for that reason I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars. Aside from that, this is the best flashlight app that I've used thus far. Runs smoothly as well.

The stock flashlight on my phone isn't working so I decided to install this one. Many negative reviews have complained about features that you can change in the app settings such as the start up sound, the auto off, and the light coming from the screen. As for the unreasonable permissions, I simply turned everything off except the camera access (it needs this one to use the flash) and it's still working fine.
