More About Brickit

Brickit helps you build new things with your old bricks.
1. Spread out your bricks and take a photo of them. The app will scan the photo, identifying and counting the details.

2. Decide what to build. Brickit suggests building ideas depending on what bricks you have. Choose from robots, kangaroos, airplane, and more!

3. Build your creations using our step-by-step instructions. The instructions are useful, but you don’t have to stick to them exclusively. We give you ideas, and you decide what to make of them.

4. Find any brick you want easily. Just choose a detail in our catalog, and the app will highlight it in your pile. The bricks you need in the instructions are highlighted in the steps where you need them.

It's a cool app. Would be better if it recognized more bricks and if the subscription would be a little bit cheaper

Great app so many ideas. Up until recently there was a level up system. Which seems to have gone away now? Would like to see it come back if it did get removed.

It is really good and pretty cool. It could do better at Identifying bricks and it shouldn't be featuring builds you can't make, but still, it was really good

App is not bad, Ideas there are strange and why it is so expensive? LEGO by it self crazy expensive and having the app that you need to pay way more is just rubbery under the day light. Only paid version has some ideas, but still very dumb. Unfortunately the app have a great potential but considering price and the ideas in it makes no sense of having it.

This a solid 5 star. I have lots of extra Legos in my room so I had no idea what to do, until I found this app and now I know what to build with my legos my simply taking a photo.

The app worked fine didn't bump into to many adds the only slight problem was how long it tool to load all of your bricks and it tool about 1 minute only problem was that when you scanned your bricks if one part of the brick is covered it will show up as a 1 by 1 brick when it's really a 1 by 4 brick also the things you make are in differnt colors.

Really disappointing, gives you hundreds of ideas and you start building before it then tells you "you need 1x of these that you don't have". Extraordinarily frustrating and definitely not worth the price of the app. It has potential if it would let you filter so you could only see things you have ALL the pieces for.

Cool idea but doesn't seem to work for me. I try to submit ideas but the app crashes when I try to upload pictures. I also can't find my sets from 2022 and onward. The management of sets and pieces is amazing! Though it doesn't sort by colour. Would be 5* if all sets were on it, or at least have users upload Manuals/pieces

I've re downloaded this app so many times and everytime it doesn't work. Stays on a white page with the logo in the middle. Not worth downloading. Was really looking forward to trying this app because my son loves lego.

None of the scans had the actual bricks that were needed for the builds. It even gave colours that were on the table. For a yellow 1by2 it gave as options in the picture: pink, dark brown, light green and a clear rod with a wider end. For a dark dark green there was no option to choose from in the picture. For the brown it had several options, but not a brown stone. That was just the first duck with 3 stones. The penguin: 2 stones in my pile, another duck: no stones in my pile.

We attempted to scan the Lego pieces on three separate occasions, but it failed to recognize them. Next, we opened a new bag of Lego and attempted the scan again, resulting in a reading of 0. Despite trying three times to take a photo, it only recognized half of the pieces. Additionally, it didn't provide a button for building instructions, only offering a button to return.

Wrong charge. I was trying to use this app for one trial day. When I was downloading it is clear says I will get notified email one day before annual payment will go through. I didnt get email, and was charged for annual use a way earlier that supports to be. The app doesn't have phone number for customer support so I left email to requesting a refund for wrong charge. No reply.

Used the free version, dumped a pile of (maybe 300?) white bricks and it found 45 and gave me 5 things to build, and I substituted and build 3 out of 5. The interface showing the instructions and allowing you to click through each piece and see where it is in the pile is pretty neat. There's a bunch of grey boxes when I detect, too. I wonder if those are pro-only pieces or just pieces it can't detect. You can skip the trial and use a free version and I recommend trying that. And a quality camera

The app appears to work the first time but doesn't accurately identify the pieces or give us any useful builds we can do with said pieces. When you try to retake the photo it stops working entirely. The app appears to be riddled with bugs. Many of the pages don't load properly and the UX experience is awful. I'm not clear how to navigate the app or get back to taking more photos. I'm so disappointed, my son was really excited about the prospect of using this app but it was a fail.

Pros: amazing idea. Great potential that can easily become a must have tool for any Lego user at any skill level. Cons: the photo scan miss recognized pieces if they were on their side (identifying a 2x2 brick as a 1x2, that sort of thing) which unfortunately is the basis for building ideas. Further, the ideas presented utilized bricks that weren't located in the scan. Not just the "pro" bricks, but just simply bricks that were not in the scan. There's more, but I've reached my word limit.

1. It would be nice to be able to sort the results by # of pieces. 2. We dropped over 700 pieces, and it found just 2 options for around 60 pieces. The rest were all under 50 pieces. Unless the scans find options for over 100 pieces during the free Pro trial, I am planning to cancel my membership. The library is missing large, over 100 piece ideas.

Excellent use-case for image recognition and a great idea in theory. Ultimately, it falls short. I had the same issues as others - app will finish a scan but then refuse to provide at least the list of parts, brick ID issues, clunky UX, etc. My biggest nit is the ethos - I would gladly pay even $10/month for a tool that can help me organize my BL shop by identifying shape and color, and allowing me to export a BOM. Sadly, doesn't seem like the intent. Seems like a miss.

On a Google Pixel 7 Pro, I am unable to scan unless I uninstall and reinstall the app, and then I can only scan for that period of time. If I close the app and open it again, 1/3 of the screen is inaccessible and I cannot tap the camera button to scan. When I reinstall, I have to log in every time and the Pro function does not work every time. I get that it's not optimized for Android, and thus this is my attempt at shedding light on the issue. Thank you. Three stars cuz on an iPad it works well

I does scan....but that's about all. I did three separate piles of Legos. About 500 each and each time it gave the same builds. Also 90% of the builds are missing pieces not in the scan. So your kids gets almost complete and then wham nope sorry missing pieces. A Very disappointing experience. About the only thing it does is scan and that's cool technology, but they need lots of work on the algorithm and the UX it is not intuitive especially for a kid.

Good technology, but not quite there. For us, it scans and finds ideas to build but the problem is, MOST of the ideas are things that are color specific to make the specific character, but when the thing starts to show you how to do it, it's random colors. I wish there was a way to filter it to only use the color bricks that are shown.
