Holds your hand for a bit too long before letting go. Let the player go for longer than a floor if they're on a good first run! It can't hurt anything to delay showing them the town. Hard resetting progress too often too early will cause veterans of the genre to move on before you hook them.

Very similar gameplay to slay the spire but that is a good thing. It is a deck building Rouge lite card and hero collector with a free to play progression based mostly on skill and grind with purchases increasing speed of unlocking for more gameplay styles and content. Ui and animation are responsive and appealing, so it feels and plays nice. A good game to fill time or grind for unlocking.

Color me impressed. 20+ years of TCG experience and absolute fanatic of Slay The Spire (one of the best and satifying games I've ever played). Severely disappointed when devs wanted nothing to do with it anymore until I've run across this gem. Have always felt STS was missing something and lacked variety for more complexity for veterans. Only hours in and I'm HOOKED. First time feeling motivated to write a review on the app store with some pros and cons but the character cap...awesome game!

A overall well made game with no ads. It is well paced, well balanced, and well designed. The only problem I received was loading, I get well though because as you get farther in the game it has to load more and more information but I cannot tell whether it is my phone lack of possessing power or how the system is set up

It is fun but progression is pretty slow, it feels too much of a grind for what it is worth for myself. Probably faster if you spend cash but without a feel of progression without spending I won't spend anything on a game that will end up requiring you to spend money or grind the same games repeatedly.

Pretty fun game, free to play as well, which is a nice plus. May buy the steam version cause it's just that fun. Only reasons for 4 stars is an ad played, force closed the game, and made me restart a fight. Also, grinding the premium currency is pain, but it's a free game, so it's a pretty minor issue compared to the other.

An amazing experience so far, with my favorite attribute being the amount of different deck styles you can create and try. It doesn't feel like there's one right way to beat specific bosses either, as I've completed the same area with 3 different playstyles so far. I look forward to seeing what the rest of this game has in store, but even this early in I'm already invested.

Fun but slows down. There's a great variety of heroes and strategies you can play. It's fun adapting each hero's deck to the quests you get. Unfortunately, the quests drag you down rather quickly. The bosses are each a slog of hitting for low damage, watching the boss gain an insane amount of shields, and hitting for low damage again. Everything else is really fun, but the boss fights and the last few quests just aren't worth the time investment.

The game is fun so far. Only piece of constructive criticism would be that some of the explanations on buffs, debuffs, and effects are lengthy, and don't effectively convey what each does. They should be short, to the point, and uncomplicated. I do like that there are lots of different effects, buffs, and debuffs, though. I also like how the developers do the "tutorial" as you play through the first couple levels.

Amazing. Took about 30 minutes to understand, but the game combines the best elements of constructed deckbuilding with the incredible replayability of a roguelike. The balance also allows them to allow for multiple progression systems. Ads are not intrusive at all. Super fun even as a free to play. I'd say more, but I wanna get back to playing. Bye!

I've just started and so far I'm impressed. The game is very cool and there's no ads. Starting off with 4 stars only because I'm finding the fights incredibly easy. I'm hoping it becomes more challenging as I progress and will bump up to 5 if that's the case. I'm very skeptical when it comes to mobile games but I'm glad I gave this one a shot. Edit: Updated to 5 stars. As you progress, the levels become much more challenging.

Well...I DLed the game after reading excellent reviews and so far, it fully delivers. Very fleshed out systems. Has a unique style and it's distinguishes itself amongst the other deckbuilders. I also love the free model with minimal intrusions. I liked it so much and made a few in-game purchases to support the developers. Thank you guys and keep up the good work!

As Slay the Spire clones go, this one is promising! Looking forward to seeing how it develops. Editing to add: the "end turn" button is very close to the edge of the screen, and therefore very easy to accidentally press while reaching past it with a thumb. It should be moved or have a confirmation dialog if you still have available actions. Otherwise, no complaints so far!

This game is interesting & tries a lot of new ideas. Many of them work, though they often feel overcomplicated. I would recommend you play halfway through this game, but stop before unlocking depth 4. Earlier than that, you need to build a good deck & unlock enough passive upgrades - if you just grind, grind, grind, you'll eventually get to where you'll win most of the time. At Depth 4, you're just waiting for lightning to strike, and each failure takes over an hour to resolve.

This game is easily one of the best roguelike deck builders on mobile. Some aspects that are different then most others, that I really enjoy are as follows. You keep your mana/energy each turn. You keep 10 armor each turn. You lose max health when you lose enough. You open card packs and use custom starting decks. There are quests that are seamlessly added to the next run. There are over 1200 cards!

This game gives me mixed feelings. Sometimes I do well and later I don't. I guess all games are like that. However, this game gives me different vibes. When on level 2, I can get to depth 3 and on level 3, I have a hard time passing depth 1. I understand that depths get harder as you progress but not where you lose 2 depths quicker than before.

Cards and characters are varied, with no instability, crashes, or resetting of progress. The developers did a very good job of balancing the feeling of progression in later runs. Overall, this game manages to scratch the "slay the spire" itch better than any other game I have seen in the Play Store. The base game is free, and paying for unique but optional characters seems like a good deal.

As an indie game I am so beyond impressed with how fluid this game plays. I truly look forward to it growing. I could waste time complaining about little things but it's a new indie game, you guys will be able to build on this platform for years hopefully. It's super good, you guys should be proud of what you've made! I just noticed, 400+ cards in the game plus unlockable skills and more :O the replayability is going to be insane

This game has so many cool features: Grow your energy pool each round, custom theming for your deck, multiple playable characters, variable difficulty settings, great art work, unobtrusive soundtrack, scalable difficulty, involved deck building, and the list goes on. I seriously can't say enough good things about this game, if you're a fan of Slay the Spire, this is a must have. It's my new favorite addiction!

Original: Wow! I can't believe how much fun I'm immediately having. I'm hooked. I'll try to leave a follow-up review in a few weeks. Edited weeks later: Well, it's a great concept but the game's difficulty shot up so tremendously that it's no longer interesting to play. I'm at level 7, and at the third level (crystal) for the dungeon and I'm considering quitting the game after dozens of failed runs with different decks.
