An excellent app which gives reliable information that is quite remarkable given the complexity of the material being "analysed". Temperature forecasts and predicted rainfall are very helpful for personal planning purposes. This is so much better than many other sources of the "same" predictions. Well done and thank you.

Use the App daily plus. Be lost without it! Living in regional Gippsland it's great for planning my days. The 'map' option is terrific for viewing expected rain because often we'll get drips on the edge or be missed. Wind too for weed spraying plans. Important warnings are well received, but expect their importance is with those who suffer bushfires, cyclones, floods, & the like. These sincerely have my deepest sympathy.

Useful and accurate. I like the app, which is well suited to mobiles, given how much data it fits on the screen. The radar is easy to zoom and move to new bits of Australian geography.Adding a "past" button was helpful. I

Great weather app that uses the best available data and presents it clearly. My only gripe is that the widget doesn't update automatically. I changed my phone a couple of months ago so maybe it's that or maybe the latest BOM app update just has a bug.

Now map does not show rain outside when I can see rain. Some time in 2024 map changed, now useless. BOM website shows better definition, different to app, so what's gone wrong? If I want better picture including whole of Australia, I use willy weather, I'm sure BOM could match that, it has core radar which is used by other apps. This is not first complaint, somebody out there deaf? Frustrating !!

This is the most unreliable weather forecast ever. I was in the swimming pool yesterday afternoon. Weather Sydney now - "mostly sunny". It was totally cloudy. "Low probability of rain - less than 5%" "updated 1 minute ago". It started raining in less than 30 minutes. And it is always like that. I know forecasting the weather can be difficult. Looking out of the window and publishing what you see, not that much really. Do not trust anything BOM says. A total waste of time.

App interface etc is not too bad, however forget it if you want to use the rain radar map within the app as it is vastly inferior to the rain radars accessible from the BOM website itself. It beggars belief how such a large and important bureau refuse to upgrade it after all these years within the app to supersede what is on the actual site. Or better yet, why not just have a live feed of the radar maps as they are in the website. Go figure.

The inaccuracy is appalling. Im trying to support Aus BOM but I end up needing to have other foreign-owned weather apps on my phone to double check the largely incorrect rain forcast. I was told 1-8 mm today and got nothing. And I have got nothing several times BOM has said 1-10 mm. Its a terrible service and their modelling needs to be overhauled. I may even delete the app despite my desire to support government services

This app seems to stop receiving the correct temp sometime early in the morning then fixes itself later at night. I've just seen it jump back to the correct temp at 10pm at night (a 10c jump, that's how inaccurate it is all day). I end up having to visit the BOM website to get the correct current temp most of the time defeating the purpose of this app.

If you like frilly bits and pretty animations, this app is not for you. If you want ease of use and functionality, get it. No ads is also a big plus. My only gripe is that there is only one sized widget that doesn't sit in the centre of my homescreen and messes with my OCD. 😄

I keep reporting obvious faults over the past 5 years but nothing has changed. The app shows there is a thunderstorm and rain where i live yet the bom 'map' shows there is no rain for over 500km radius. The bom past page shows there has been no rain for days. The app shows a temperature discrepancy of over 5⁰c compared to 3 other apps that are run from overseas, those apps also show there is no rain near me. Why are overseas apps more accurate?

Was good, for where we live you have to add about 5° onto the forecast but that's ok. Recently the app has been getting stuck - it keeps showing me "last Saturday", "last Sunday", "yesterday". Not useful when I want to know the weeks weather. Tried reinstalling, didn't help. Phone and app have the latest updates installed.

It's free and ad free and yes, it's a no frills app but it works and I've had no problems with reliabilty. It gives me the information I want when I want it without having to choose between either a monthly subscription or put up with annoying ads that make me want to yell obscenities at my phone or anyone unfortunate enough to be in the same room.

The app is disconnecting from the internet whenever not in use. It then has a lot of trouble trying to reconnect. Very unreliable. Often it tells me there is no internet even tho I'm on home WiFi. This is a BOM server problem, it needs a major upgrade. Also whenever i go to the BOM site I get a warning saying it's unsecured and to return back to Google. The app is probably excellent, the BOM server and HTTPS are the issue.

App is OK but does sometimes crash when trying to load Radar saying that there is no internet connection. Also, the Widget never seems to automatically change to my current location. I can go and manually select "Use Current Location" which works fine, but 5 minutes later, will revert to the place that was originally showing. Strange thing is if I travel somewhere away from my home, the widget will, sometimes, change, but then that will be the location that it seems to default back to.

It's a decent app, but when viewing the rain radar, it's virtually impossible to identify past rain for 'predicted' rain. I want to know when the storm has passed, and looking at the app my eyes are constantly darting from the radar image, down to the timeline and back to the radar image. Maybe add a yellow border around the image to identify that we are now looking at predicted data, not actual data. Or give me the option to disable predicted imagery data (I don't really want it anyway).

Have used it forever, but after installing it on a new phone, it's become quite annoying: the first location ever searched seems to become the forever-default on app launch (I did a couple of re-installs now, each with different first location). no matter what favourites are designated or in what order the location list shows location. That reduces user-friendliness significantly for those who may be in different locations for periods of time...

Still has all the info as the old app albeit laid out differently, but where the old app loaded instantly the new version takes around 10-15seconds to load. It mighnt seem like much but its a huge step backwards to what it was. The popup for rain radar is annoying amd manages to cover future temps when you load up forcing you to scroll instead of seeing everything on one page. It needs to be a seperate window like it used to be. I think ill be looking for another app now.

Its pretty good but still has isues. At 3pm 22/2/24, the app said it was 25.6 degrees at Bellbrae, 3228. I know for a fact that it was 38 degrees in the shade on our deck. I have noticed this temperature discrepancy before. Also when I tried leaving feedback on my iPhone, the keyboard obscures part of the screen and I couldn't see what I was writing. Finally, I have asked about barometric pressure but that must be too hard for BOM.

Mostly works as advertised. Provides good temperature, wind and rain forecasts. One thing that's a little weird is that it always shows 0% chance of rain in the hourly forecast, even when the written forecast says there will definitely be rain. It used to show this data but I've noticed it's been gone for the last few months. (Checked on multiple Android devices)
