Zynga took the time to change the look of this game. Unfortunately they have still done nothing to fix the freezing situation. 6 months ago it would freeze on the tournaments. I stopped playing. Just came back to see if it was fixed. 1st tournament I played, it froze up. Tried again later in day, same thing happened. 6 months time played 2 games, both froze up. Most people gave up on the tournaments so you will play bots (if your game doesn't freeze up). FIX THE PROBLEM ZYNGA.

I've been playing this game for years and this new update stinks. I have been playing the same people for years and the lag is awful. The game doesn't recognize the touch on the letters anymore and is very frustrating. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and restarted my phone to see if that helps and nothing does. Zynga fix this problem!

You guys really jacked the design with the new update. There are so many design fails it's hard to believe, too many problems to even mention. The design was fine as it was, why did you change it? And you didn't even fix the annoying things that have been there for ages. Like, DON'T COVER UP THE WORD SCORE with those dumb flying "amazing" "excellent" "great" phrases. I want to see how much that word was worth not some lame word of encouragement!

Update. Done. Crashes and lost money on power ups multiple times. Uninstalling... I really like the game but it crashes all the time in the middle of the round. I'm constantly losing the tickets and all my power ups because all I can do is close out of the app. It happens multiple times it is very frustrating.

12/28/23 edit: problem still occurring after update, which is after Zynga replied the update should fix. game constantly freezes in the middle of a round. it's fine (manageable) for solo play (playing friends/matches) because u can exit app, then clear the app from recent apps. and when u reopen it, the game is just paused & you can resume it. in tournaments however, exiting the game means you forfeit. it's SO annoying when it constantly freezes seconds into the game, or once even, 1 second left

**Edit** Tech support finally reached out to me and solved the issue with the game. The game is not playing right. It is slow a recognizing my finger movement over the letters. I have updated, uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my phone (3 different times), and nothing helps. I have PURCHASED this game YEARS AGO and played it on a daily basis. I could get 70-110 words in 2 minutes. Now, I'm doing good to get 35 in 2 minutes. Tech support is useless.

The game used to be fun, but now there is a lag when choosing words that cause major points lost since speed is important to get as many points as possible. Edit: received an email that the game was fixed and I needed to update. Glad to say that after the update, the game is working as it should. I LOVE BOGGLE and appreciate the team for listening and responding.

I've played over 30k games on this app and it seems to be getting buggier. Twice in the last few weeks I have had to reach out to tech support because finished games would not clear from my current games. Also, I am getting kicked out of every match at 15 seconds in, and I have to resume play manually. I've made tech support aware of the glitch, but as of today it's still happening. It's still the best Boggle app I can find. I still wish there were new boards, even if it's only once every 6 mos.

A hideous update. In addition to making everything look like 1990s CGI and the huge waste of space with the redesigned Kai's Power Tools buttons, the new version is buggy as heck. I've played the daily challenge twice today and it doesn't register. Buttons are cut off with ellipses. I can't even see my score with my games (it shows up as 9...., so I have to look at the summary manually). If you like Boggle, DON'T UPDATE. Pixel 7 Pro, Android 14.

My score needs to be updated. It has been the same for the past year. I gave beaten people with 7000+ scores. I need my score to reflect my games won and my skill level. beyond slow. I can barely get 9 words. I was able to fly across the screen, now it has slowed to barely nothing. I worked hard to perfect my skills. This games is beyond useless. My ranking has not changed in over a year yet I have won more than 39 games in a row. I have not changed any

I have been playing this game in its various iterations for something close to a decade, and as of this morning, the lag has made it unplayable. I've tried all the usual app fixes (update, uninstall/reinstall, etc) without success. It would appear that others are having the same problem I am. Please fix whatever broke. Update: The lag issue is resolved. They changed the look of things with this latest update, but I'm glad the game is playable again

I've been playing this game for many years (since 2018), and I've really enjoyed it. Recently (early December 2023) the game started to act really sluggish - there's significant lag between when I swipe and when the game responds, often sticking on the second letter, causing the game to be virtually unplayable. Having made connections with others through the game (I've been playing against some of the same opponents for five years), it's really frustrating and sad to no longer be able to play.

I have loved progressing in this game for many years. Recently, it's become very glitchy and freezes mid game. If it's a regular game, I can go back and come in. Tournaments I can't do that. The last week has been the most frustrating. There is a great delay between swiping letters in any game I play, which is really negatively affecting my scores and no longer fun. I thought it was my phone, but see in another review that others are experiencing this. When is it going to be fixed? UPDATE: Fixed

Update.. Now has become even worse, ads are interuping in the middle of gam play repeatedly in same game.... I'm done Been great until recently started freezing during games and have to force stop. Phone is new, restarted and caches cleaned daily, it's the app... please fix and I'll adjust my rating Update, not freezing as often unti the new inundation of ads now pops up in the middle of games, (more annoying, and hampers gameplay) loops several times when you try to close, then game freezes

I love this game, but my turns keep freezing and I lose on great rounds! Not to mention all the wasted tickets due to this.... Well it worked fine for a bit,.. but now again it keeps freezing half way through a tournament... it causes me to lose. Things worked just fine for quite awhile, but now we are back to the freezes. Also the bots will beat the quarter finals and semi finals by very low scores but then beat you at the finals by 2,000 plus points? Going from 140-160 to 2,400! How!?

This game is so frustrating! I have been playing for years and now it pauses at will, won't load and doesn't track the letters all the time. Updating this edit... Game is now ridiculously annoying. Nothing has changed. Everyone gets the same "I'm sorry to hear your having trouble with the game. This is a known problem and our team had fixed it." Blah blah blah. No fix, no update, still "having further trouble" FIX THE PROBLEM, BOGLE!!!!

I use to love this game & play all the time. I recently reinstalled it and I am so frustrated with it now. It freezes all the time & takes too long to load games. Sometimes it doesn't load at all. I'm constantly closing out the app & then reopening it. There are times that don't even help. I don't know what was done to this app but it sucks now. FYI: I have noticed it freezes if theres a reward or achievement to collect and you don't collect it before you start a new game. Please Fix this!

I hoped the latest update would stop the freezing but it's actually worse. It now freezes multiple times within a round. I have to force stop the app just to finish my turn. It's not enjoyable anymore. It just froze twice in the same turn. It's not even freezing for ads - it's the app's reward pop-ups that do it. It used to be fun but they turned it into bloatware. Device and app are updated to latest versions. Now on 18.4.1499. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. It just isn't programmed well.

Love this game, but update after update introduces new glitches. This past week, I have games starting on their own. I will have played one round with a person. Next thing I know, I am in the middle of a second round game. I never started the game, never got a chance to select power ups, and the clock is partially through the game. Aggravating. UPDATE: This issue was resolved for a while and is happening again.

Update- 2 years later the game is still freezing multiple times in every game. Plus it's starting to have a really bad lag and the game is not catching the words I'm spelling. I have to restart the game over and over in the middle of one game. Just started freezing in the middle of the game. Has done it multiple times. I have to restart every time
