More About Bodybuilding.com - Fitness App

Welcome to the new Bodybuilding.com app.
Designed with seven different ways to workout, trackable health metrics, a customized social experience and an in-app shopping hub for your supplements needs, the BBCOM app is the key to unlocking your true potential. Though don’t just take our word for it. Dive into why you should download the Bodybuilding.com app now.

1. Choose Your Workout Experience
Follow along with guided workouts led by our coaches, choose an accessory, dive into a multi-week program, design your own workout/progrram, stack your experiences, or learn new moves with our movement library. There’s a way to work out for everyone.

Our team of Master Coaches consists of accredited professionals with decades of experience. They’ll lead multiple modalities ranging from strength and hypertrophy to body recomp and performance. Need a time out? Pause a workout at any time to watch the movement tutorial without exiting. Time for a rest day? Jump into an accessory to take a breathwork, stretching or mobility sequence.

Take planning into your own hands by constructing a workout or program specific to you. Build out your calendar using the move library or stack pre-existing workouts together. Find your routine with endless possibilities.

2. Connect With Likeminded Users
Chasing goals requires support, and when it comes to finding support, community is king. Build your profile, share content, and scroll the feed to find your favorite lifters, workouts, and accounts.

Don’t want to share with the world? No sweat. Set your profile to private and accept invites when they come. You’ll be able to like, comment, share and save content in your feed. Stay tuned for our “Groups” feature coming in 2025- where locals can plan meetups IRL, because nothing beats training together.

3. Track Metrics and Store Data
Stored in your profile, connect to Health Kit or Google Health Services to stay on top of heart rate, calories, and other key metrics. Trying to break down your splits? “Blue Man” is here to help track which muscle groups you’ve worked this week to help inform your next workout selection.

We’ll be revealing fitness devices eligible for syncing in 2025.

4. Earn Badges and Rewards
It’s true, we’re all still utterly obsessed with collecting badges, and you can collect a set of your very own in the app. From “total weight lifted” milestones, to streak celebrations and limited-edition holiday badges, there’s a new goal to chase every month. Don’t worry, we reward recovery warriors, too.

Be on the lookout for future badge releases. Have a concept? Hit up our team to bring your badge to life.

5. Shop Supplements
Yes, you’ll be able to shop for your favorite supplements directly in the app. Did we mention it’s as easy as one click? Annual members will be eligible to year-round free shipping on orders, 10% off our Signature™ line (+ ALL its new products), and if you join now, you’ll earn a $49.99 product coupon to kickstart your journey. The ease of merging supps with your workout plan is here.

Later this year we’ll be activating a feature that helps you track when it’s time to restock based on your workout routine.

When it works, the app is money. Very helpful. But it has been glitching out for at least a full week for me (the time of writing this is 4/2/24). This is frustrating because I've been tracking weight for progressive overload in the app exclusively for the last 3 months and now I can't access that data (for whatever reason). I'd also love if they created a "build your own workout" feature.

Whoever decided on this platform for the update should be fired. We lost all of our previous workouts, data, and everything else that helped keep track and motivate our transformation. That's not even the worst part. The app malfunctions constantly and Lord forbid if you click out of the app call want to go back and look at something because then you're going to be find out of your workout or it won't let you log the proper set!! There was nothing wrong with how it was. Go back to the way it was

App is hit or miss. It seems like they decide when your rest day will be due to the app issues that seem to be more and more common. Recently, there has been a "site outage" that has brought the app down for close to 2 weeks and counting. There has been no eta about when the issue may be resolved. Overall, it's a good app when it works, but due to the communication issues that the team has, it brings down the rating substantially for me. Availability is the best thing that can be provided. Fail

I agree with all the recent reviews. I have been using this app for years and it was fantastic. With the new app, I lost all my records and documented gains. I use the 300 bench program. Now it does not even show the recommended reps and weight for each set. I can't track progress so it is worthless. It constantly does not save my workouts. I loved having a countdown to the next set, not anymore. They should refund all of us that have been loyal customers.

BUYER BEWARE! They have removed the ability to preview workout plans prior to deciding if the workout regime is appropriate for my goals. This is detrimental to the entire point of this service and furthermore, the app has become impossible to navigate, intensifying the frustration of my subscription renewal. This was after a months long crash that happened earlier in the year! Do not, under any circumstances purchase this app! What a waste of time and money, there's $50 I'll never see again!

The app used to work great. After the recent update, the entire user interface has changed. I can't find the program I was working on, can't access my exercise history, and it won't let me start a new program (it "subscribes" you to it and put it into a calendar, but now I can't figure out if I can move exercises around or skip days if something comes up). I don't like that a service I've been paying for for years changed so much overnight and is now unusable.

What the hell is this update? I don't need another social media app! It was a very simple and straightforward workout app that I enjoyed. Now, it's failing to be a facebook/workout app. The UI is significantly more complicated and convoluted. Complete lack of program control, and it looks like all my workout history is gone. I un-installed and went somewhere else. It's such a terrible update.

The app is garbage now. Pros: Has a lot of different workouts. Shows examples of each exercise and what muscles you will work. Cons: Doesnt track workouts correctly. Ex: I completed day 2 and then it jumped to day 33 instead of day 3. Can't start a workout day and do other things on the app or it will make you start over. If you change the order of exercises it erases your progress up to that point. Not user friendly at all. Progress from years of workouts are gone.

This has been my go-to at home fitness app for over 5 years at this point. The workouts are great though, the trainers for the at home workouts are very motivating and do a great job explaining each movement and variations if necessary. Unfortunately, over the past year or so, the app crashes constantly and as of 3/31/24 - I can't log in at all... really disappointing for a paid subscription for an app that used to work flawlessly.

The new app has lots of potential. It looks nice and it should work well with tracking your workouts, but it doesn't. After each set you record the number and sometimes you have to go back to correct them. Well depending on the stage of when correcting the new number is not saved. At the end when looking at the summary the numbers are all wrong. Also, when building your own workout the interface is not smooth and it feels clunky. Also, won't save the picture

The sudden overhaul to the app completely ruined it. It erased all record of the program I was working on, and I had to start everything over from scratch. Several weeks of progress gone without any way to retrieve that data. It's now not nearly as intuitive to use, and there's no longer an effort tracker, which was useful for tracking progressive overload. Finally, the elliptical trainer doesn't have a set count down timer anymore, and its sets ask for the weight used. Why change everything?

The app was amazing until the last update... The U.I. is hardly user-friendly. It also allowed easy access to see your progress of weightlifting; that could be accessed within each individual workout. Also, the beeping to start each set interrupts my music. This is not to mention how loud it is in one's ears. I have reoccurring nightmares of the, "beep...beep...beep"

Been using it since 2018. The app was completely overhauled recently and it's now almost unusable. Nearly every feature that I found useful is gone (lifting history, a timer between sets, and effort scale for each set, easy to enter set info, etc.) I'll be cancelling my subscription and looking for something to better suit my needs. It has been my go-to workout app for 7 years, but no more.

I had used this app for years. It started off great, now it's not. An annual subscriber, it works less than 1/2 the time. Fails to load, stuck on the main logo page. If you can get past that, you're lucky and will see a wide range of workouts and plans which are great. The content is good, although it's slipped in years, the app though literally makes your subscription worthless.

I have this app so I can follow Hannah Eden's FYR and FYR2.0, where there's a new workout video each day. The exercise program is great, however, the app is useless to me because it no longer plays any of the videos! it worked fine last week. They better figure this bug out, or add them back in, otherwise I have no use for this and will be canceling my subscription.

I dont leave reviews often, so let that be a sign for how miserable this app is now. Navigating it is annoying. It doesnt track sets properly anymore, god forbid you do multiple sets, as it'll keep focus on just 1 workout and none of the others. It'll fire notifications on your rest time being up even when you're in the middle of a workout. unbelievable what this apps become considering how good it was before this update.

Paid a subscription. Haven't been able to sign into app for nearly five days. This exact thing happened a few months ago and I figured it was fixed. Nope. Not worth it. Update- APP IS NOT WORKING AGAIN. edit: few months later and this app doesn't work AGAIN. I am paying a subscription for this..... It will not load my workout and says I need to pay to access it. I'm already paying you!!!!! What is happening over there. SMH

Used to love it, but lately I cannot access my workout, It's a matter of fact, they disappear, it tells me I have to pay even though I have a yearly subscription. I have done everything, from cleaning caches, and cookies, n history, to deleting and reinstalling the up. Help please!! And with all the complaints I read and the company still not doing something to fix its issues, so sad.

My phone updated the app overnight and whoever designed it should be fired. I lost all my progress, I can't just look at the overview workout anymore and have to follow along with the workout, nor can I manually complete a set or workout. On top of that, it's really buggy and has crashed on the 3x during a single workout; and of course it didn't save any of my progress or notes, so I had to waste a ton of time going back through each time and waiting to catch up killing my workout.

I was a long time user of the previous app, bodyspace. this is supposed to be a replacement, but the features are seriously lacking. my stats didn't transfer over for most of the exercises. no support for rest pause sets or drop sets like the old app. changing time for timed exercises is frustrating, as you can't just put in the number. I gave it a shot and paid for the yearly subscription, but if they didn't update something, I'll need to find a new workout tracker.
