The app change your location when you're trying to see the available boats. Then trying to use zip code and only shows 1 city, the change yo the city and said they are not available and the change to use my location and shows 13 on my city.

Love this app! Renting a boat near me was super easy and the interface is very user friendly. I highly recommend Boatsetter to anyone looking safe and easy boat rentals.

Excellent site for easy boat rentals with a great selection! On top of that, the one time I had an issue with a rental their customer service team was quick to respond and extremely helpful.

So they can charge you $285 when you can cancel cause the date error. But when the owner cancels on you last minute no fees $$$ . No credits , Nothing . half off the owner don't have trailers to bring to boats to you read carefully . There customer support is awful to no help . 5min booking error $285.bill $$$$$ thanks .

The person I was going to rent a boat from canceled the night before. I got a message from boat setter that said they would help me find another rental, but they never did. I contacted them and got no response. I recommend not using boatsetter. Just go to a normal boat rental company

Buyer beware! / Renter beware! The rules for Boatsetter allow the boat owners to pull their boat at ANYTIME. Even after you have reserved the boat weeks in advance and you credit card charged!!!! Even on the day you are scheduled to get the boat!!!! While you will get a full refund, this does not help after you have planned your trip weeks in advance, scheduled time off of work, and reserved and paid for hotel rooms. THIS HAPPENED TWO TIMES TO ME FOR THE SAME BOOKING DATE!!! Please be careful.

First time using the app. After booking and was approved and accepted by the owner 2 days prior, the boat owner canceled 20 minutes before we showed up to our reservation because he decided he wanted to take it out himself and "accepted the request by accident" (Aaron "Strict Cancel Policy" Slate in Austin TX, crusher of 5 year old son's dreams.) Boatsetter agent said they'd help look for an alternate. They didn't. Cool stuff; garbage app and even more parasitic hosts preying off customers.

Horrible Customer Service and "Top Owner" means nothing. Booked 2 months in advance, penalties for cancelations. Brought large group down for a day of boating (over 750 miles away). Owner canceled 15mins before 8hr reservation. Reservation in July, and owner had failed to register the boat??? Boatsetter did little to nothing to call (yes, phone calls are helpful), publish a Customer Service phone number!!! Horrible service/support from both owner AND Boatsetter

This is the best website and app to use to rent a boat! The rental process is fairly easy and is very similar to how AirBnB works. Owners are very responsive and amicable. The support team is absolutely fantastic and are very thorough with their work. I'm recommending this to all my friend's and families to use if they want to rent a boat.

It seems like as soon as I signed in, a few boats that were previously available disappeared. Seems like a bait and switch. Also, when messaging an owner, the keyboard on the app covers the message box, so you cannot see what you are typing.

For some reason boat setter took down their website and now directs everyone through their app. Since this change I have had a huge decrease in the number of inquiries I have received. Many customers like to browse on a full size computer when searching for charter boats and now they can only navigate the site on a mobile device. This was a major miscalculation in their customer base.

Great site, I just wish the app was more functional - it pushes out to the mobile website and responses to inquiries come via email instead of in the app.

Rental prices are pretty high. And then you realize that you have to pay insurance over and above the advertised rate. Owners are also paying for insurance, so that seems like a scam. I've had a few boats reserved where they couldn't find a Captain and had to cancel. There just weren't enough captain's for the number of boats trying to be rented. The police stopped us once and asked if it was an illegal charter. So I'm not sure how much of the paperwork was above board.

So far I like the program they have to rent boats out minus a few flaws. The biggest problem is this bug in the app when I am replying to a customer the text freezes and goes really slow. As I'm trying to type it it feels like windows 95 really slow and buggy. This happens with almost every conversation. I give my number out so they can call me since it is easier then typing and a better experience but boatsetter doesn't like you contacting by phone before an approved booking. Thisis unfortunate

Had two boats cancelled back to back on me some time AFTER booking because the owners realized they had a schedule conflict. It doesn't seem there are any repercussions to the boat owners for doing this. Also, with each occurrence someone from Boatsetter reached out to "help" find a new boat but they NEVER would follow through. On top of that, their coupon codes will show accepted, but you will still be charged the full amount. Boatsetter is the perfect place for you if you hate yourself.
