06/04/2024. Past month or more I can't transact, and the error code offers no help or guidance. I try to test my personal node connection via the Blue app and am told the QR connection-code I'm given ON THE BLUE APP is invalid. My wallet is fully updated. I'm at the point of restoring my wallet on another platform and deleting Blue.

UPDATE: This app is a scam. It costs minimum over a $1 to transfer money out of your "local" BTC wallet. It should not cost anywhere near that much, if anything at all. Support doesn't respond, app development seems to be mostly dead, errors are vague and unhelpful. If you put money into this app it will get stuck in limbo or just lost. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Installed for the first time last night. Froze on wallet setup. Killed and restarted, froze on loading screen after biometric ID. Restarted, set up BTC wallet, froze shortly afterwards. Set up Lightning wallet, froze. Restarted, back into settings, froze. Etc. Not updated since January. Will this ever be fixed, or should I ditch for something else?

The manage funds bottom is disappeared and the lightning network is not working anymore. The seed phrase is shown only once. Then no way to recover it. Very poor wallet

Blue Wallet app keeps crashing on my Android phone and is VERY slow on my Android tablet. Basically unusable. Sent 2 emails to support email address on the official website but no response. After experimentation I discovered that the app will open if I disable WiFi and data connections in app settings. It functions fine if I then enable internet connections. So it seems you need a first world internet connection for the app to launch :-(

This is one of the best Bitcoin wallets I've ever used! I love it a lot. The only issue is it's slow sometimes, especially if you're connecting to your umbrel node. This is partly because you're using it over tor, but even when tor is off, it's a little slow. Nevertheless, it's a very good BTC wallet with so many good features. I always recommend it.

I want to like this app. It looks good, and the intended functionality is what I'm looking for. I was able to install the app and connect it to my umbrel without any issues. *Update April 2022* The app works, but it is extremely slow and crashes easily. I presume it still needs tweaking to work smoothly on Android 12.

Hiding PASSPHRASE & SCAN switches to import a 12+ 1 wallet & having to turn on Advanced Settings is a bit of a confusing when restoring to new phone! Great day-to-day wallet! (Savings go to Cold/Hardware wallet!)

New update ruined the app. Now it's very laggy and buggy. It used to run waaayy smoother before. Why change what doesn't need changing? Just fix the necessary problems and don't touch anything else...The UI is slower than ever and tiresome to navigate...C'mom devs. Pls revert.

My wallet of choice for hot wallet, and watch-only of my real stash... only because my Blockstream Jade's camera just can't seem to read the QR codes for airgapped/signing transactions. Could do with options for lower density QR maybe? Having the app display my currency (Philippine Pesos) is also cool.

Looks easy to use but it has a bug. I have been unable to add encryption or a password. When I click on that option, I have been unable to scroll down the screen to click on the confirmation box. Can't find anyone to email/call to fix this issue.

Bluewallet has a bug in its lightning wallet that caused me to lose hundreds of dollars. I've used dozens of bitcoin wallets, and this is the only one I've encountered with such a catastrophic, money-losing bug. Safety of funds is the most important trait in a bitcoin wallet, so this is literally the worst wallet. Stay far, far away. (I emailed them a bug report, and they said they'd look into it, and then I never heard from them again. So I can only assume the bug is still present. I uninstalled the app immediately and will never use it again.)

After I sent my first deposit, which I assumed would not incur a transaction fee by the receiver (Blue Wallet), a monstrous fee was displayed. Of course I could not write a favourable review! After the transaction finalized, there was no fee deducted. Confused. Anyway, updated to 4 stars with fingers crossed concerning the Lightning Network.

Nice, let's you use it completely disconnected with watch only wallets. However it's not immediately clear as all the send fields are grayed out. You can still enter details though. Oddly after you do the fields are no longer grayed out. This should let you "write checks" (signed psbt) you can give to the vendor they can transmit if they have connectivity or limited bandwidth.

Blue Wallet does a tremendous job of making Bitcoin and it's accompanying free and open source payment system, lightning network, accessible and easy to use for everyone. The interface is intuitive, and easy to step through. For a complete novice, maybe it guides you on how to create one of three different types of wallets, and then easily transfer money into them, see balances and send and receive payments. It also urges users to safeguard their wallet keys, which is super important. Great app.

Blue wallet freezes or crashes frequently on my pixel phone. I noticed several other reviews indicating similar experiences. I saw a feedback from support to disable Tor. This does help however if you want to connect to your own lightning node, it won't work with Tor disabled, which is my use case. If they fix these issues I think this would be a good wallet. Hope this helps others.

Not a good experience so far. Bitcoin lightning is nowhere near ready for prime-time use. I thought the whole reason for lightning was for fast transactions. When I made a purchase from my lightning wallet it just showed payment in transition for over 72hrs. Edit: The sats ended up coming back to my wallet on day 4. Moving to a different wallet. I don't recommend this one. Edit: BlueWallet development has come a long way. It's getting better and better.
