Cant see pieces coming up next. Only get 3 at a time. A few games, start with 1 unusable piece. Ive played daily for 2 years, going to quit. This game has changed and not for the better The daily games are okay, challenging but do-able. Its when you get into the special games, the 2nd and 3rd puzzles, you start getting 3 pieces where none will fit. Sometimes even at the start. They probably do this so they can keep playing the ADS BETWEEN each try, a marketing ploy. READ the other Critical posts

I used to love playing this game. They's been a recent change within the game. Now they've added blocks that you have to eliminate instead of just building squares. I find it annoying. Looking at other reviews I'm not the only one that does not like this change. I also see the response that easybrain replied that there are no plans or option to go back. So yeah it was a fun game and if been a loyal player for 4 years. I'm uninstalling.

I've loved this game for several years now - playing daily since 2020. I've recommended it to friends, and look forward to playing to unwind often. With that said, I hate the new update. Trying to unlock flowers and gems just feels like a bit of a stretch. Part of the fun with this game was being able to build the puzzle how you wanted to and seeing how far you could take it. The latest update killed that vibe. I'm struggling to look past it and finding myself playing less and less. Almost 5⭐

The new update is just awful. I played this game daily since I installed it a long time ago, even priding myself on completing all daily challenges when I first installed it and again when I switched phones. Now with the flowers and bubbles and gems....it is just too bad of an update. It feels like they are trying to be like other matching games that involve candy and whatnot. Horrible job, devs.

I've been playing this game daily for going on 4 years now. I complete every daily puzzle, participate in every challenge, and try to complete almost every set of event levels. The recent update changing the fundamental function of the game (bubbles, gems, etc.) has absolutely ruined it for me. You're alienating your core users with this update, and I urge you to reconsider or - at the very least - have a traditional mode to opt into.

I've been playing Blockudoku's daily challenges for nearly two years, enjoying its simple block-elimination gameplay. However, the recent update introducing flowers as the main goal has completely changed the game's appeal for me. I used to find it relaxing and engaging, but now it feels forced and less enjoyable. Sadly, I'm considering deleting the game as it's no longer the same experience I loved. I wpuld have have given it 5 stars two months ago, but now it's only getting 1 star.

Why did y'all change the graphics? I've been playing this game for years, and this new board layout is seriously painful on the eyes. The brightness and almost 3-D effect of the blocks is too strenuous for the eyes to look at for any length of time other than briefly. Maybe think about making the change optional for the people who've enjoyed this game for years or, like many apps, have a "dark" mode settings option. If it stays like this, I won't be able to play anymore.

My husband got me hooked on this a few months ago. We would do daily challenge competitions and compare puzzle frustrations in events. The version for his iPhone got changed a few weeks ago to the updated format, so we've had different daily challenges. He's stopped playing. Now that I've had the change to the game mechanics, I'm likely abandoning the game. We used to love it, but the gem collecting ruins it. Hopefully tournament style will stay the same since the old daily challenges are gone.

I don't know if the game has always been this way, but they have now built logic into the game that only allows you to beat previous scores by a small amount. Basically, as soon as you beat your previous high score, it sabotages you and ends your game within 3-4 rounds. There is nothing random about the pieces you get. This is intentional, and I have verified this behavior in the game with other people as well. Small-minded logic to keep you coming back, I suppose.

I'm torn on a two or three, so went positive. I do like the games. I like the daily challenges and postcard activities. Never participate in the championship, I honestly could do without them. I am a paid user as the ads became too much. I don't like the new update with the daily challenges. The gems and garden seem like a child's game now, the graphic change was annoying, and both seem like a step backwards vs improvement. Too many more "updates" I'll need to find another go to game.

I really do love this game, but the newest update is driving me bonkers. I understand wanting to add new gameplay and a variety of options but not being able to turn off the new game mode is infuriating. The goals have shifted drastically on how to gain a score — they have removed the base of their gameplay from events and daily puzzles. The flowers and bubbles are cute, but there should really be a way to turn it off. Not the same game I paid to remove ads on.

I absolutely love this game and play it every day. The themed puzzles are my favorite, and I always get excited to see what new artwork is created for each event. Unfortunately, the newest update to the graphics is terrible. It's fuzzy, harder to decipher and maneuver, and causes eye strain. If this isn't improved, I'll sadly have to find a new game :( very disappointed.

I have had this game for a long time. I am ininstalling it. As soon as you changed the daily challenge to the ridiculous "clear 'x'", I was out. I kept it an extra day thinking maybe it was a once in a while thing, but no, every day. I have had those games before and deleted them. I liked the concept the way it was... simple but challenging enough based on the shapes you got. You ruined it by trying to be like everyone else. I wish designers would learn to leave well enough alone. Bye.

Good for a bit of fun, until you realize it's algorithm driven to keep you playing by advancing the game in increments. You literally cannot fail intentionally in the early points once you've progressed as it will give you exactly what you need to clear stuff. Try it. Once you've passed your previous record, it does the opposite and tanks you. All to string you along and keep you coming back for more.

I loved this game up until the update changed the format to bubbles, gems, and flowers. I used to like the challenge but now it just seems silly. Could you at least provide a user option for the points version? I found that to be far more stimulating and enjoyable and it actually made sense when compared to how sudoku is played. this new style doesn't provide the same experience.

Like many others since the gem and flower update, I have completely lost interest in this game. I just spent the last hour going through one level, but because the shapes of the given blocks didn't match up, the game kept going and going and going. I ended up losing because I couldn't get one stupid flower!!! I must have watched at least 5 videos because the game was so long.

I so miss the daily challenge before the added 'flower" boxes. It is nerve wracking. I do these -and the simple blocks - to help my cognitive challenges. It is fun, yes. But mostly it helps oil the squeaky brain joints from RA. The new version is distracting and annoying for me to focus on. Wish they could make the earlier version available too. :-(

Love this game. Money well spent on the full version. Update: while I enjoyed this originally and glad I paid for it at the time, too much has changed including the coloring (I prefer darker themes) and now the introduction to remove numbers of times to "clear" a block, this game just isn't the same. Keep the money, I was happy to support the game originally, this just isn't the same as when I reviewed it 3 years ago.

I loved this game. I have been a daily player for many years. The recent updates are terrible, clearly I'm not alone based on other reviews. First the graphics changed to a more 3d image and it causes strain on the eyes, now they changed the format of the game to bubbles, flowers, etc, and it completely ruins it for me. There is nothing engaging or relaxing about it anymore. I wish there was an option to revert to standard, but it seems the makers have no interest in what people truly wanted.

Updated review - the gem/flower collecting thing is ridiculous. The simplicity of this game was what kept me interested. No need for fancy animations, colors, gems, flowers, etc. Please stop trying to change things to attract children or make it more addictive in some way. I paid for this game and would like to play the original format. The new design feels too flashy and crowded while the old design was simple and clear.
