Seems like every week I'm having to reconnect it to the Internet as it's constantly losing connection. I know it's not my Internet because all devices continue to work. Until this is fixed then I can officially write a decent review as I do like the interface however with the constant headache of having to restart connectivity significantly brings this down.

Its 2024 and it still gets 1 star. Hate when they change the interface to improve it. Its annoying to have the device setting separate from the Settings gear wheel. Combine it. 2023: The battery status is useless. It was still saying OK tonight when in fact the batteries were dead. Also, the camera flashes red outside when the batteries are dead, it's like saying to the burglars "WELCOME! My home camera doesn't work so you can break in now!". May 2024: Same problem, different day. Smh.

Every update has seemed to cause more and more issues and delay for us. With the latest update motions aren't being detected at all unless I go back and forth to turn on and off the motion detection just for the cameras to work! And to think I'm paying a yearly subscription for this and it's supposed to give peace of mind when I'm not home.

Only 1 person can look at the cameras at a time, and if you were looking at one camera and cha ge to another, the app will just say system is busy. Also, the blink doorbell camera goes through batteries and only use the expensive lithium style. Blink needs to upgrade the system to load faster and alow for more than 1 person to view at the same time.

They do absolutely selfish stuff like if you dont pay their monthly and you have your own home storage, they wont let you select which videos to delete thru the app, only 'Delete all'. Also the clips are 60% of the time "system is busy" for no reason. I thought this would be a camera system on par with ring but it's not even close. The app is just a constant ploy to get you to pay for their monthly.

They force you into a subscription after you've paid top dollar for their cameras and the video recordings are a hit or miss. They don't catch everything and that's concerning especially when it counts. Response times and when they upload to your phone are not accurate. I'll get ten notifications for a waving branch but when someone comes home it completely misses that. I realize this is a bad investment.

Pause screen is useless. If you pause video to look at something, the screen darkens and a bunch of navigation icons appear, preventing you from seeing anything. You can't screenshot any images. If you get a motion alert, you can't open that camera to see what's there until after the video recording ends, this includes the doorbell camera. I regret choosing Blink over Ring for security cameras.

This app is so slow to load any camera. I can connect to my brother's 4K cameras nearly instantly and he lives over 1600 miles away, but I can't connect to my cameras over Wi-Fi in less than 5 seconds. Motion capture is terrible, I've had numerous times where I went to review an event that I know occurred in full view (inside of motion zone) and there's nothing recorded. Camera quality is also abysmal. I wouldn't recommend this camera system to anyone.

Update: I do still think the app is improving slowly. However, I REALLY need better Clip filters. They did improve the camera filter, so when you select the camera you want to see, it stays and doesn't phase out as new clips load. There is STILL no way to filter by date, so if you need a Clip from last week good luck scrolling. There is STILL no way to delete clips by date and time. Instead of selecting all, It would be great to select specific time blocks to delete (by day/hour.)

Difficult to say which issues are app or device. The camera often stops recording if the app goes idle. I was disappointed that my device (Indoor Mini) doesn't have a continuous record option, which shouldn't even be a question, IMO. The snapshots don't update automatically either, and without a gallery they are totally useless. Also.. huge chunks of time have gone missing with no explanation. Bottom line, I don't trust this app or my Blink camera, and I don't recommend you do either.

The connection of the app to view live feed is horrible !!! It's extremely slow crashes often and cuts out. I have Fiber internet speed of 1000mbps and a wireless router that covers 5000 square feet. I know it's not the Internet at my house. All the cameras have excellent signal. I wish this would be fixed. Disappointed it hasn't gotten any better.

I was almost certain the egregious issues with the app had to be specific to me because Amazon is HUGE, they're constantly pushing these, cameras and they come out with new ones at a higher price often. To my dismay, nearly every other user has the same problems rendering the app useless at times. 75% of the time I try to view a clip or watch live, I get a, "System Busy" error. Have to force close and try again. Local storage instead of paid storage takes FOREVER to load clips. Buyer Beware.

App used to work flawlessly prior to the latest updates. Along with what everyone else has already stated, the option to NOT save a live view clip does not work anymore. Lag on getting alerts, bulk delete cumbersome, having to close app and reopen to view cameras and clips. Just really bad performance overall! Poor updates!! If it ain't broke, didn't fix it!! Edit: Updated to latest version. Still have the same problem. The option to NOT save a live view clip does not work! Still saves video!

Can't view my recorded events or live streams, can't add my doorbell, can't disarm, can't enable or disable motion detection, every time I try to do anything since the last update, the only thing I CAN do with garbage doggone app is view a "CAN'T DO THAT NOW, SYSTEM IS BUSY" message. Was great when I installed it 5+ years ago, it's progressively had more and more problems as the updates keep coming. Terrible. Don't waste your time with this brand. Will be switching to a non-amazon owned brand.

If you only want access to your cameras a fraction of the time. This is the system for you! Constantly saying "unable to reach camera" cameras randomly going offline, half the time I get pop ups saying "system is busy" or "another action is in progress" when nothing else is going on. Overall. I wish we would've gone with a more reliable system.

Huge delay between when something happens and when the app has loaded - too long to react. The walkie talkie feature of the doorbell microphone is basically useless. But it has always been that way. The reason why I am coming to post one star today is because the app is no longer even pushing a notification for doorbell presses! This system doesn't work for what it's designed to do, at all, anymore. Please fix it.

This app has never been great but it was 3 stars. As of May 19, 2024, it has now dropped to 1 star. I made no changes to my schedule or system settings but suddenly my system no longer records videos even though the system indicates "schedule enabled" (and motion activated). Everything worked fine prior to May 19 but something happened to cause this issue. I even installed the update in Play Store but that didn't help.

The 2 negatives I have are: if I try & disable motion when something is causing it to go off, it says there's a problem, shows it's disabled yet I still get notifications and clips so it is still enabled. 2nd, if there's motion and then I try and do a live mode, it won't allow for it because of the movement. This doesn't work well if I'm trying to talk to someone on the other end.

It will often get hung up if you do one thing and then something else. Say if I view a clip then try to watch the camera (or vice versa) it will say it can't and I'll have to force close the app and start over. Reaction time is pretty slow as well. The clips pretty much are taken at the right time tho. I'd say 2.5☆. Works ok for the most part but could definitely be a lot better

There is an issue with the doorbell. I've had this doorbell before and ordered a new one to mount it wired this time. It seems like an upgraded version of the old one I had, but this one gives me more issues, specifically with live viewing. It keeps saying "live view failed," but the connection is fine. I factory reset it and everything, and it will send a notification with movement, but I can't use live view. I have a Blink outdoor floodlight, and I've never had an issue, just this doorbell.
