More About black

The sequel to my 'yellow' and 'red' games is here!
Can you make the screen black in 50 levels?
Each level has its own logic.

Do you need help? Use the light bulb button that will appear after a while in the top right of each level to get a hint. There are multiple hints for each level.
With the "no ads" in-app purchase you will not get ads before the hints.

A Bart Bonte / bontegames puzzle game.
Enjoy!

It's just as good as I'd hoped from the maker of Yellow and Red! Simple, yet challenging puzzles built on a single premise- make the screen go black. I have to say, however, that level 47 was just beyond what I could solve on my own. There's just too many possible combinations, and only one can solve the puzzle. It's much too open-ended, since you can switch directions any time. That one could definitely be improved.

I first played yellow, then red, now this year's black (which I was close to guess the right color) just like last two: the levels itself are really creative, hence some levels are actually challenging which I have to take some time to actually think. And I'm very happy that some levels makes you think hard. The controls are simple, like the last two, and I like the color scheming. However, I kinda thought there will be more levels and I know, 50 is enough but honestly, it doesn't feel like enough but, Bart has done it once again! A very simple game with simple mechanics but have challenging yet fun levels.

I loved red and yellow and black was no different. Unique gameplay that is super fun, chill music that makes you feel good, and a consistent color that keeps you sane. Can't wait until he makes the next one, but until then, I might download red and yellow again. 2023 edit: natural evolutions of previous puzzles, though done solutions do feel (or in two cases are) random. Still a solid game. (Also the worst to play in a dark room with the constant change from white to black!)

I found your games today when "orange" was advertised as "new indie". Loved it, so downloaded all the colors. Beating them all in about an hour or so each. I used 1 hint on Black. #24 was tedious and the ball physics aren't very well done, making it take a long time to clear the last blocks with frustration instead of a sense of accomplishment. #40 has a glitch (galaxy s22) where if the ball stops while touching the left wall it gets stuck and the level must be reset. Possibly other walls(?).

Highly recommend. I LOVE these color games by Bart Bonte! (actually, I've enjoyed all of his games--he really knows how to make them!) There's only ads if you need hints, which is extremely generous, This is the kind of game you can pick up and play a few levels when you have a few moments, perfect for busy people. Ok, theoretically you can put it down after a few levels...I myself could not and played till the end because it's just so much dang fun! And I love the zippy music, as always (but if YOU don't, you can mute it). Thanks for the fun game! I look forward to the next color!

This was a great puzzle game to refresh the left side of my brain! :D I really enjoyed the simplicity of the graphics and the music was a great touch (it helped maintain my patience)! Also, im sorry to the developers for all the comments where people express their frustration, because they do not understand the intent of a puzzle game. Hopefully they find one they like because they are in my opinion a great way to exercise your brains ability to apply unique patterns in unique situations. :)

Another fantastic addition to the series! My only complaint was that one of the last puzzles had finicky controls. You would try to move a block, but the block next to it would get moved instead, which forced you to restart the puzzle. Still, one minor flaw out of a million great features is amazing! I look forward to your next game! (What'll it be, Blue? Green? I can't wait!)

Fantastic game! I only wish there were more levels (I now have to try red and yellow). This game has no add interruptions and is very intuitive to play. If you aren't the inquisitive experimental type then it may not be for you. There's no penalty for just pressing buttons until you can figure out what to do. I did use a couple of hints but even those adds were incredibly short. Great game!

I completed the 48 levels of this game over the course of 4 hours with a winning combination of a little bit of curiosity and pattern finding. If you like to explore, the game is easy. I had 3 levels where I even needed to use hints and that was because I could not figure out the mechanism to manipulate the puzzle. Only ads you see are when you need hints and the majority of ads made no noise. 5 stars for conscientious ad placement and well designed puzzles!

Back with black!! Another color in the series, and it's on another level. Still has the same minimalist style - no guide, no score, no tutorial, and brings the unique style of puzzles seen in the previous versions - but enhanced, and with some awesome surprises! For any lover of puzzle games, no matter how complicated, you will enjoy the enigma of black. And if you haven't seen red and yellow, do yourself a favor and check those out as well. You won't be disappointed.

Overall, it's a good puzzle game with a simple goal but a difficult variety of ways to accomplish such goal. Half the time I would understand neither the puzzle nor the clues and would just keep tapping until it worked. There's enough levels for slow, casual gaming or a medium-length marathon. Good luck figuring it out! My biggest complaint would be the weird ads, not all of which were entirely appropriate, but that may be beyond developer control.

I have given it 5 stars for originally. It's very different and definitely not what I was expecting. I do feel compelled to finish the game, so it does keep interest. This is my first time playing this developers games, and I'm sure about checking out the others next. Bugs: I'm only on level 15 or so. What has slowed me down is that apparently I'm too good at making the screen black and sometimes it's stuck on a black screen permanently, forcing me to have to hit my home button and restart the game. Luckily progress saves well so it starts me where I left off. This app behavior began at level 9 and once after an ad when I requested a hint.

Great game! I loved how you only saw ads when getting hints. The only thing I would complain about is some controls, on certain levels, didn't really match the flow of the level. For example, one of the levels would have a button on the left, but that button would make the moving object go right. I found myself guessing with the controls sometimes. However, this isn't a massive issue, as I managed to complete the entire game. I will definitely keep this installed, hoping for more levels!

this is a great puzzle game not too many ads... Then I get to level 46... literally broken. I looked up 2 or 3 tutorials , got all the hints and asked everybody I knew, and still cannot solve it!!!! I'm soo mad because it was a great game until I literally can't play it anymore!!! would DEFINATLY give it 5 stars but because of that I wont...very frustrated and uninstalling it right now....

Really fun. Difficult, but not too difficult, great music (I'm not surprised because his other games have great music too,) barely any ads, and I love how when you beat the last level there is a link to listen to the soundtrack, as well as other game soundtracks of his. 5 stars. Edit: for some reason my game has no music now. I checked settings and the music is on. I deleted and reinstalled and it still doesn't have music. How do I fix this?

It's so clever and fun! It's a little bit more of the same if you've already played red and yellow, but there's a few new ones. I love this type of game because I like things that aren't timed and shows creativity from the person who made the game and requires a little bit of thinking outside the box! I didn't use any hints this time--I decided I will just make myself figure it out and I did! :-) :-) I love everything Bart Bonte comes out with! 😍😍😍 what a clever person!

Very cleverly designed puzzle game that is honestly really well thought out! It's one of the few puzzle games on the app store that I've truly had fun with. Each stage is designed to encourage and reward experimenting and planning, and hints are handled in a way that doesn't insult the player's intelligence. Very very good game, would absolutely recommend playing.

I couldn't wait to play the next sequel to the series. However, with practice from the previous two, I have to be honest... that as exciting as it was, it wasn't as challenging as Red or Yellow. That is NOT A NEGATIVE Bart, I am grateful. I need more challenge though, I'd even be inclined to help you with more challenges if you are becoming stumped, because I understand how difficult it must be to come up with new material for the brain masses. You are a genius, I only wished I knew how to program so I could throw my set of brains into the mix. Thank you! Overall in this order as of 09/27/18 difficulty factor in order is Red, Yellow, then Black. If you are reading this and have not played the previous color games, please play Yellow first, followed by Red, then Black. That was the order in which they came. They soundtracks are similar to each other and is incredibly inducing while thinking and beautiful as the puzzles. Thank you again Mr. Bonte. Oh, and BTW, the next color should definitely be Blue or Green.

This was fun. Didn't take long to complete all 50 levels..maybe 90 minutes or so....including taking time to make dinner. It was light and fun, some puzzles were encouragingly easy while others made me really think. Looking forward to playing through yellow and red and whatever you think of next. Keep up the good work. Only adverts I saw were the 2 hints I used when I was stuck. Well made game.

love his apps. love this type of app. I like there to be logic and reason behind the solving of each step though (versus trying random things and just using a process of elimination). level 47 (with the dice faces showing) makes absolutely no sense to me. what are the numbers for if not to solve it? it might be I'm overlooking something EDIT - clearly I was overlooking something, lol. 5 stars for you
