The mechanic while simple can offer a nice depth gameplay, and have a good potential as well. But, the wall gate is noticeable, and when you are really stuck you ended up having a tamagochi game instead. If asked what can be inproved, this game should have a mode with constant challenge, like user generated or random generated levels so people can actually play (the interesting combat/puzzle mechanic) in their spare time without rushing the main story faster than the game dev able to make.

Very cute and relaxing game, but I wish the gameplay was more engaging. Levels are either too easy or too hard. Eventually it becomes a waiting game where you just wait for enough dishes to sell so you can upgrade everyone. Or you wait for the daily crystal to refresh so you can upgrade individual heroes. I also feel like the gameplay becomes monotonous, with only 3 main types of enemies and exactly 1 way to counter bombs, stun, continuous damage etc. It was fun for the first day though.

Pros Great graphics! Super Smooth. Well thought out dialogue. Cons Limited story choices.. There's no unique experience as to how someone would play this. The tactical aspect of the game as far as dodging damage is lacking on certain monsters. Sure there's a warning system but it does no good if your units can't move fast enough to evade the damage zone. Also as far as the levels are concerned in being able to pass anything it's very very grinding focused.

In these times it's very rare to find a mobile game that's not shoved full of ads and popups that fills up your screen and interrupts your fun. Bistro Heroes as of the writing of this review has none. It's a breath of fresh air compared to other games I played. Every other second I felt like an ad has popped up. Gamers, if you want to support games. Support games like this. Whether it's going to the shop and watching ads manually, or buying something in the game.

I like this game for its funny and lighthearted story. The characters are pretty diverse, but getting them all and unlocking their costumes is going to take you months (possibly >year). The game play also increases enemy levels exponentially, while your growth is more linear. This is exacerbated by the slow stamina recovery system this game uses. The mini games can give you a small boost in stats, but it takes forever to refresh your attempts. You can spend $ to help grow, but it's not forced.

It is a great game with great interactions with the characters, however when it comes to the difficulty of the game overall, the difficulty curve is at times unfair, I feel like being way above the recommended power doesn't seem to be enough for bosses that can turn easily turn the tide against you, such as healing more health than the damage it receives, or stun lock heroes, which makes me wonder if it is actually possible to defeat it. Overall it is great, but I think it gets hard quickly.

A severe lack of forced in-app purchases and ads along with some amazing art and an interesting and original story and characters makes this free to play app definitely worth your time. My only complaint is that the late game is an incredibly slow grind, levelling up enough just to get to the next story level past the first chapter can take weeks.

The first chapter is great! But the story quickly drops off once you get to the second chapter and it becomes nothing more than a daily grind. The bosses lose originality (become a crystal that you'll fight over and over) and they just reuse the same bosses from chapter 1 as the challenge bosses. It has the potential to be great, but honestly falls flat.

One of the best games I've played on the App Store so far. A true Free to Play as Ads are not intrusive. Progression does not take up too much of your time. Gameplay is simple and easy to understand, perfect for casual. I've only just begun and I can already tell that I will be investing much of my time into this game. My only suggestion for the Devs would be.. A: Port to PC/Console (Switch?) B: Add more visuals. Give characters more expressions and have costumes change their default profiles!

Great idle game. Good amount of content, art is great, fun to keep your stuff growing without things getting too complicated, and plenty of boss and enemy types. Biggest complaint is the control scheme. It's a little ridiculous that you can't move single units without moving the entire 4 person Party. Some mechanics require a lot more precision control and the game setup definitely cannot provide it.

This game is the adorable adventure of a team of girls trying to save their kingdom. The story is fun and lighthearted and the controls are responsive. As you progress, upgrades do get a little expensive. Wood and cloth are frequently short in supply until you gain access to the cauldron. I think if they gave you access to more wood early game you wouldn't get hung waiting to sell enough food to upgrade... The game is very fun to play and the animations are great, though.

Very cute! I loved a girl adrift and I love this game too. There are some minor problems with the battle system (occasionally when trying to run from one monster you end up locking on to a different one and die) that are entirely due to the nature of touch controls. After you burn through the beginning the difficulty climbs and you will only be able to complete a few levels a day so if you like to binge games keep that in mind. I also like the way that levels only charge stamina if you pass.

I really appreciate how you can honestly play through the game for free. The wait periods aren't so over the top you can't progress without paying. Bistro Heroes has a good balance between increasing character skill and story progression. I big appreciate that! Even when you can't afford the next upgrade, it's fun to gather food to make dishes to reach that goal. The combat system is simple, but fun to memorize the pattern of the battle. The game is adorable.

I like this game a lot. It does not make me feel like it is trying to manipulate me into spending as much money as possible like many games these days. It is a casual game that has a reasonable amount of strategy which makes it quite fun. I do have some suggestions to improve it though if the developer is interested: 1: Have an option to autocraft a specific food item with energy. Right now you can autocraft ALL food items with energy but if you want more control you have to do it manually. It would be fun to be able to control it more so you could figure strategies to the best food items to craft. 2: Tweak late-game balance a bit. The single targeted laser beam enemy is really hard to deal with because the character who is supposed to counter it does not block enough damage to completely counter it, meaning characters can be near one shot no matter what you do. Probably either nerf that enemy or buff the ability that blocks it. 3: Add an option for more control in battle. It would be cool if there was an ability to pause the game and target each character to their own location so you could split damage to even beat levels a little beyond your party's strength. It would be optional, but fun for players looking for a challenge. This game is quite fun though, and I recommend it for anyone curious about it. It still is updating and likely will have many improvements in the future.

The gameplay is simple, but very fun. I have not yet been forced to watch an ad. It's amazing. There IS a stamina mechanic, but there's a casual, relaxing minigame that restores stamina at a significant rate. It has a lot of options for those that play continuously and for those that play off and on. Playing continuously is not troublesome because nothing is locked behind some irritating ad campaign, and yet, playing here and there won't leave you in the dust in terms of progress.

It's an adorable game with a nice little technical playstyle that keeps you a bit engaged with which characters to use to handle different scenarios. The most Game breaking part of the game though is the exponentially climbing difficulty. You'll find yourself NEVER reaching the required POW for a stage so even if you play it perfectly, you'll still fail because your stats are too low. The gold to upgrade conversion is not nearly enough to tackle stages and you'll find yourself sitting around.

the game was fun at the beginning but once you get to ancient elve city it goes downhill. now its just boring, takes way too long to complete(literally so long and so boring I quit for like a year), very repetitive (cooking, doing daily dungeon, then logging off). that's literally all you do. the only events are that u get to pull for costumes which literally isn't fun. ttdr; the game gets boring and repetitive when you reach ancient elve city

I really enjoy this game! There's just enough strategy to keep it entertaining. I love the sounds & music in the background. While you do spend energy, there are mini games to earn energy so you don't end up getting stuck. To upgrade the heroes you have to earn coins at the bistro (their home base) by using ingredients and crafting recipes. It's a great mix of idle coin generation, action, and a cute story with cute animations. I downloaded it back in 2020 and just had to download it again.

Nowadays, most games actively throw ads in your face over and over, this game is automatically better than most because ads are optional, in fact they are rather passive and aren't even necessary. Combined with the simple and easy gameplay, I can say with confidence that this is a good game. The only "issues" I have with it is there isn't enough movement options for the units, I feel that can be expanded upon, a way to slow down combat speed would also be nice, but you can still make do without.

This is surprisingly good. You can play it very casually, or you can make it extremely challenging by trying to clear missions before you've leveled up enough for them, or anything in between. There are also a lot of power ups. Some are straightforward/boring, but some of the later ones are neat. And it's got a surprisingly large amount of content. I also like the characters and story. The dialog scenes are pretty fun. My main gripe is that you can't change your party formation.
