Doesnt seen like it works. Whenever I search for any where it comes up with an error. It doesn't load any maps. I signed up for premium but the app doesn't seem to know that, but if I click the premium sign up button again the play store will say I can't sign up for it because I already did. Looks like it could be a good app if it worked.

This must be one of the most useless apps I have ever used. I had even paid for it but the "Premium" button on my phone wasn't even clickable. Editing my profile in the hope I could login to the premium account didn't work either - no password field in sight, edits couldn't even be saved. Downloading maps failed consistently. Went to the website to "Manage account" - didn't work. Luckily "Delete account" did. What a waste. Back to Komoot.

I appreciate the ability to explore the app without creating an account first, but location permission is required to show any routes nearby? No, it can be done using approximate or the screen view scope if some correctly. Even if no results are found for the exact view an broader search could be queried to provide some results within a larger scope as a suggestion and from an exploratory test it helps to show the feature in a better light.

I paid for the premium option so I could utilize offline maps. However, unfortunately the offline map and offline route function isn't working. The download stalls and has an error before I can finish. I made sure my internet connection is working properly and I have plenty of space on my phone. I emailed support and they said, sorry it doesn't work. Ok cool, five dollars a month for a broken app. What a deal!

Bought the premium package and now can not log into my account. There are multiple things I do like about the app, but I had to leave one-star in hopes that someone would get back to me because they're not responding to any emails. Also, I canceled my subscription until someone reached out to me. Was informed that if I cancel, I'll no longer have access to the premium benefits from Bikemap. Didn't have them when I had premium. That's why I'm canceling

The app was advertised as being a source for cycle routes through Europe. Unless someone has ridden the route you want to take or you want to plot the route yourself this is not the app for you. I was offered a yearly subscription at a discount. Checked to see if I could plan my own route. No! Not really useful for through touring.

Much better map functions today! Theproblem was likely my using the freehand map drawing. Using the draw on roads gave me voice directions at last, not just when going off route. Only problem was the voice directions were sometimes behind me and the map, telling me to do the step I had just completed. Most important, the app stopped telling me to make the wrong turns. After stopping or slowing, the viewpoint would change. zEasily fixed though.

It couldn't provide a route that I could take without having to upgrade to premium. They don't seem to update their maps because the road they want me to take ceased to exist around a month ago. I never used the app because I couldn't figure out how to reroute or update the road's status (in the developer's defense I spent less than 3 minutes trying). That being said, I gave it 3 stars because I never used it, but also had to say no to upgrading every time I tried to find a work around.

I initially liked this app. The first issue was that it includes rugged, gravel roads unless I pay a monthly fee. I would gladly do a one time fee and occasional donations. But I don't want another monthly subscription service. But I still used it until it took me down a private road which ended at a securely gated entrance. That was enough for me. A positive is that it switches between internet and GPS as needed. I would very much be willing to pay a single fee for the app and maybe an occasional upgrade fee. But I have no desire to pay subscription fees for what other apps offer with the upfront costs.

Amazing!!! Took a route Google Maps usually takes 29 miles and shortcut it down to 14 miles with less street traffic. Enjoyable voice narration and no glitches! Fabulous MPH cycling computer display and so easy to use! NOTE: HORRIBLE at address input though. It will give you a general location, instead like "West Sepulveda Blvd," but will not find "6590 W Sepulveda." Would prefer total mileage left on the trip to be displayed somewhere more obvious, but just personal preference.

The PC interface works fine for route planning but the app presents speed, distance and average in a tiny font. It's okay for an armchair but entirely too small to see on a moving bike. The button to change the the size of the display is too small to press while moving but even then each size presents more data but doesn't change the font size. When I specify road bike the app implies it will filter out gravel roads. That doesn't happen where I live.

Requires subscribing to the 7 day premium trial and connecting your google payment to it in order to even begin using the app. I haven't even started to use it, the app might be great and the subscription might be worth the cost. I hate the monthly bill vs just buying the software for one price. I expect some meaningless formulaic corp response, "We're sorry to hear about your experience, please email us more info blah blah blah" and no actual change to the way they set things up.

This app is terrible, for a lot of reasons: 1. Routes chosen were unsafe - they went against traffic or in areas without a bike path/lane. 2. When on "balanced" mode, which is supposed to pick a route based on a mix of how direct the route is and ease of riding, it still picks a route that is both longer and has a steeper gradient than alternative routes. 3. Battery drain is very high - phone battery was completely drained on a 1.5 hour ride. 4. GPS often was not very accurate and lagged a lot. Edit - To the developer - I was cycling in Washington DC. Will not use again as it put me in unsafe situations.

After about two months of use it forced me to pay a monthly subscription to continue using the app in any way - i hoped that paying would allow me more user friendly options and make the app a bit more usable, but that hasn't really happened. Map is unable to reroute when needed, voice navigation is spotty, and you need to know exact address for destinations. A true waste of money and time.

Horrible routing algorithm. I was given a route ETA 33 minutes, marked as both the fastest and most balanced. I was instead directed up a 60 foot incline over a 200 foot road, then up the highest peak in San Francisco. I walked my bike up a 55+ degree incline, and barely had any relief getting down due to the terribly timed turns. Lacked bike routes for half the trip. Based on this route alone, I've lost faith in the app. It is great for tracking routes, but DO NOT let it navigate for you.

Routes/roads are highlighted but there are no trail names, no labels, no markers, no indication of start/end points, and no way to click on an individual trail to see it on its own. Not sure how this app is meant to be used, or if these are some the many "features" of the paid version. The free version of this app doesn't appear to have any functionality. I'm not going to pay for an app if I can't even try it's basic functions.

i was looking for an app that helps me navigate along the most bike friendly route from point a to point b in my city. this app does not do that. it only has pre-set suggested routes for your area - it doesn't allow you to navigate to wherever you want to be. i guess it's for people looking to kill time by biking around town on random routes. im not even sure why it has a gps function. i guess it's trying to be an all trails for city bikers. i just think it's stupid.

App is basically useless without a subscription, and that subscription is a huge waste of money. The app does not allow any privacy controls for recorded routes - they are all public. Want to record routes to/from your home? The whole world knows where you live now! Additionally, the GPS is laggy and innacurate. The map regularly shows my position in the middle of buildings, yards, etc. while being on the road. (This is not an issue with my phone because other mapping/tracking apps work fine)

I downloaded the app for the sole purpose of logging the approximate distance I rode. Using the road bike setting, (the most accurate one) it added the most baffling routes, making full u turns and detours through cul de sacs for no reason, even after babying it and adding multiple route stops to coax it in the right direction. I'm following an access road for god's sake! It doesn't get straighter than that!

Good if you want an app that records data for your rides. But the mapping feature is lacking. Some quick alterations are made easy with preset algorithms, but not smart enough for my preferences. Tip to developers: I don't need the app to know my exact preferences, but I do want to be able to SAVE preplanned routes, make custom adjustments, and easily access the route for later use (sometimes for repetitive use, where riders can edit their route based on learned riding conditions).
