Rule customizations include:
• Kitty size. Choose the size of the kitty: 6 cards, 5 cards, 4 cards, or no cards.
• Sport kitty. Choose how the kitty is sported: to all players when there is a trump suit, to only the declarer, or to all.
• Minimum bid. Set the minimum bid from one to four.
• Level only bidding. The declarer then chooses the trump and direction: High, Low (aces good), and Low (aces bad).
• High and low bid ranking. Choose whether high and low bids are equivalent at a given level or a low bid beats a high bid.
• Notrump scoring. Choose whether or not notrump contracts are worth double the points of suit contracts.
• Boston scoring. Choose whether or not to score double points for Boston bids.
• Overtrick scoring. Choose whether overtricks are scored as one point or no points.
• Joker play during notrump contracts. Choose how jokers must be played during notrump contracts: can be discarded anytime one does not have the suit lead; must be discarded as soon as one does not have the suit lead; may be played anytime but will not capture the trick; or must be placed in the kitty or exchanged with the kitty.
• Two of Spades. Choose to make the Two of Spades a high trump.
• Game over. Choose whether the game ends at a predetermined number of points or after a certain number of hands.

The program works at about a four level player. It makes to many errors for advance players who are good at finding voids that can be exploited.

Really nice. I wish you could play with people. Also bidding a low bid is not available to counter a high bid.

My partner on several occassions does not follow my lead when I have the bid which often leads me to getting set. When bidding a no trump my partner won't play a card to get out my way and opens another suit which I don't have which causes me to get set.

The game is fun. However, it has no idea how to play a NO trump game. For example, when partner wins a trick and has aces, partner will not play aces and then go back to partner. Also doesn't know to get out of the way by playing cards in the suit. Also plays the jokers improperly. Bottom line it sucks when playing a no hand.

always missed playing in my dorm. very good. We used to play that aces could be high or low when the player got the Kitty.

West seems to deal most often and gets the bid. My partner doesn't play the correct card when it's his turn to play. Causes us to lose many unnecessary games.

I love that it's challenging. The other bid whist game I downloaded was not challenging. The AI players would very seldom bid and if they had the winning card they wouldn't play it until all other cards in the suite had been played. In this game it makes you fight to win the bid.

So far one of the better Whist games HOWEVER there are flaws in the programming that cause your partner to play into the opponents hand (ie. playing back the suit trying to be run by the opponent in a no trump; picking up your trump after opponent is dry without playing winning cards). Still worth the download compared to other games. UPDATE I rate this game a 5 on all levels. The issue I had with faulty opponent plays has greatly improved. It's a fun game to play. Recently, though, there's this loud ominous music that plays. It's very distracting and is louder than my Spotify running in the background. All music and sound is selected to off, but it still plays after a few minutes of starting a game. It's getting annoying, now.

I wish the number of points to win could be adjusted. Edit: Since my first review six years ago, many adjustments have been made. I'm happy to be able to adjust the game and play the way I was taught by my parents. The only difference is both the 2 of diamonds and 2 of spades both were high trumps. Other than that, I love it!!!

The opponent takes the bid most of the time. The partner and kitty usually have the cards the opponent needs thus the computer rarely gets set. I rarely get a hand that I can bid on, but when I do it's obvious that the kitty and my partners cards are stacked in my favor which also takes the fun out of the game This version of the game does not reflect the outcome in real time, but I gave it 2 stars because the other versions are worse.

Best bid whist game that I've played. Only two issues; north partner doesn't always help out like a live partner would. They always throw the lead back to me instead of playing their hand and letting me throw off some of my cards. Also, I would love to be able to download this on my iPhone. The bid whist games in the apple store are terrible! 2024 Update: North partner gameplay has improved and the opponents have gotten more challenging. Overall the game has improved for the better.

Only a week of bid whist play. This is the best bid app I have been able to find. It has a major flaw I am finding, if I am not able to figure out I will continue to search for a more competitive bid game. Problem being, a player, even my partner, will not play to win a given book. For example, if I play a Jack, next player play a queen, my partner play a high card win king, the next player play a loosing eight, but have the winner Ace in their hand🧐

Update: 9/29/22 - Just made a change and there is no Advice when prompted/ requested during bidding or selecting suit. What happened? It was .......The Best One out there! Teaches you how to play, provides hints, replays action, with options galore, and so much more! I bought the ad free version within 4 days of play! Very well worth it! Get this one. Don't waste your time with others!

Good game. I would give it 5 stars but game play has the north player, your partner, playing like a junior. It leads off with stuff only a newbie would do. That's frustrating! The east and west players always play as a team, winning bids and leading with trump cards. North will play into there hand. This is nothing but bad programming IMHO. Would be much better if all players played according to the level.

Love the way I can customize the play eg. Cards with a larger font. I could add my own name. The game moves quickly. i stopped playing this game because the computer bidding is stacked against the player. A low bid should be allowed without raising the bid which can cause the player to over extend himself to get the bid. The bid should be high, low or no on any level.

After a couple of years of use, updating from 4 to 5 stars. The app has been extremely reliable and the options encompass nearly every variation possible. Original review from 2016 follows... I like the game a lot and play often. With all of the settings options I can play the exact rules I used to play many yrs ago. I like that it merges the kitty with your hand before you pick your discards. I also like that the 3 computer hands can claim all remaining tricks to speed up play. Hoping they will someday allow ME to claim remaining tricks. Also, graphics & animation are decent and easy to read.

Good overall. Positives: Levels for difficulty and no trump play Game preferences allow play at your skill level and style Opportunities: Partners "outbid" each other unnecessarily at higher levels of play. A bid of 5 or 6 requires aggressive play. The play oft starts with low cards. The opponents get easy set books, only to find that the bidder had winners all along. Bid could have been won. The order of play is not natural. Once a bid is set, you must continue to play the hand.
