It has been a great, 5-star app, but recently they've added ads with very loud audio that you can't shut off. I can't have that. Can't be sitting in an office or in church and some stupid add starts blaring out of your phone. Banner ads are fine and expected in a free app, but if this new feature of audio ads isn't removed I'll soon be deleting this app and find another one.

I have enjoyed this app for several years! Like everyone, not thrilled with updates, but I get used to the improvements. I dislike the computer generated voice used for the audio. Pronounciation of certain words are not good. STILL WORTH 5 STAR! I read some of the other reviews. Once you pay to remove the ads, (cost less than a burger) you will never have to deal with them again. Also register with this app and you will not have to pay for ads again, or lose your info, on a new device. LOVE IT!

Amazing! Compare two versions of the bible side by side. Search a particular word or phrase and listed for you are not only how many times this term was mentioned but are given every passage where it's documented as well. Variety of Bible study plans for personal growth. Even share you're favorite findings easily over your favorite social media apps such as Facebook and Instagram! With cool unique backgrounds and fonts. Definitely my favorite Bible app!

Total access to the Word of GOD, 24/7. I can study as long as I want to, and I don't even have to hold anything. All my questions are answered and I love the way it is available even when I don't have any phone service. Excellent conversation starter, and allows opportunities to avoid guesses concerning Scripture and scriptural subjects, by simply looking in the Bible. Always with me, all to God's glory. Perfect for witnessing, and for encouraging others God's way.

I've used this app gor several years & loved it UNTIL several days ago it disappeared. I was extremely upset because I had read nearly half of the old testament & part of the new, had many verses highlighted. etc. After a day it reappeared. Today the same thing happened. GONE! I tried to reinstall & finally got it. It now shows my highlights, etc. What is happening?? Would appreciate any help or suggestions. If I can hold on to the app I would give it 5 STARS TY

For the most part I like the app. But, I like to use The option where it is read to me. And with all the mispronunciations I have to assume it's an AI, not a real person. 1/27/24 Update: I will be deleting this app for the reason stated previously. There are so many mispronunciations in the audio I can't take it anymore. It is very distracting for me.

You can download any version of the bible that you like. It comes with one version(maybe Portuguese) that you can't uninstall. It has devotions in that language. I downloaded 2 versions and pushed the comparison button. 2 screens pop up. One above the other. You can highlight but it doesn't stay highlighted. I tried copying a verse but the button didn't work in comparison mode. Sharing only works in one version too & buttons not labeled. This bible works for Korean/NIV that I needed to compare.

Had to reload all my android apps on this tablet. It was a pain to click around and finally be able to remove the ads from my previous purchase. This is a good form follows function application, and has seen some nice improvements lately. The ability to pull up a list of verses marked with a specific color is very useful.

Too many bugs they won't fix. Somehow the verse of the day is tied with the blog of the day, and they won't fix it. The verse of the day is set to come at 6am, yet it comes at random times, sometimes not for days. Also, I don't speak or read Portuguese, yet the app constantly goes back to the default Portuguese. I've used this app for about 12 years, and I'm starting to get so tired of the bugs they won't fix that I am strongly considering getting rid of it. If you like bugs, it's a good app

It's a blessing! I use it during church service to look up the scripture that's being referenced. ( It's a lot faster than me flipping through my Bible!) I also really like when they send me verses. I usually highlight them and take a screen shot. I like how you can choose the time of day that they send it. The blogs/teachings can be very helpful as well. π

at first appearance this app looks well put together -- no jarring font, ad "blankets" over text and functionally smart BUT, that narrator for the audio option sounds like a 3rd edition robot--how can anyone enjoy the words when you are so focused on understanding it in the first place. Very offputting. Please upgrade to a strong/ more humanistic voice. Second, when selecting the option 4 a different book or chapters that bright yellow banner could be more in line with the muted color scheme.

I do like this app and that with the update, it is possible to select a color for the banner, but I liked that the chapter and verse keys were outlined and that after a selections, it simply went to that verse without it seeming like an engine started to get to the location. Other than those minor things, I like it, and have recommended it.

A bit of a learning curve, but got to love how easy it is to use. Get the paid version, as are a real pain and the price is reasonable. EDIT: Also, just discovered that regaining the ad-free version after switching phones was surprisingly intuitive; that and how dependable the all has proven to be added a start!

Very useful app. I use the search frequently. It works well, but you need to search this translation, so sometimes it takes a few attempts to find the verse you are looking for. The only downside is that some of the advertisements are distracting and annoying with flashing bright colors that make reading the verses almost impossible.

Excellent app! Only 2 suggestions, absolutely bring in the NKJV and ESV translations for English. They include the Dead Sea Scrolls text that clears up some of the passages, providing a more accurate reading. And second, the night mode text should be a softer gray color. It would be nice to have customization for the background and text, that would be even better. Don't know how difficult that would be to implement. Thank you again for this amazing app! The Lord bless you!

For what it is, this is excellent. The search tool is fairly specific, like a standard concordance. The Bible is offline. When I first downloaded this app years ago, only the KJV was available. Now it has many versions. There are also reading plans and you can mark a chapter as read by clicking a button at the end of a chapter. My one complaint is the ads. When I first downloaded the app, the ads were non-intrusive at the bottom of the screen. Now they pop up in my face.

Although this is a good app, I have had a few problems. The most recent is that the audio reading has speeded up (on its own). It's too fast. Also I paid for the dramatized NIV reading, got it, and loved it; but it disappeared and when I followed the instructions to reset it, it did not restore the setting I purchased. But, after a year+, I was able to get it back; and finally, there are not enough of the (good) newer translations: eg, ESV or NKJV. I do like that It's very easy to navigate!

Excellent, easy to use, and responsive; works offline, has many translations and reading settings. My one suggestion: adding an option to hide the left/right arrows because they are distracting and feel like they're blocking the text. And of course highlighting individual words would be cool but I know that's a hard one to implement. Overall, very happy with it. Well worth the two dollars for no ad banner.

I've been using this app for years. I haven't found a better one for android. Copy & paste, highlights, sharing, even sharing scriptures printed over pictures. Search doesn't ALWAYS find what I'm looking for, but it's pretty good. I recommend it to anyone that wants a good Bible app. I currently have 5 different versions copied. Switching between them it quick and easy making it simpler to understand scriptures that are harder to grasp.

WBT haa a mechanical voice that reads the bible verses, & is very easy to listen to, & you can read for hours !!! It does, however, have a glitch, that if when you're in WBT version, listening to the audio part, if you don't pause and stop the reading, BEFORE it speaks the LAST WORD in Revelation, you won't be able to use the audio part of the app until you restart your phone. Hopefully the writers will see this and fix it. Other than that, it's a great app!πΉ
