This app sucks. It used to be decent at one point but they keep adding useless features that slow down the app making it feel like something from 2013. Now with the new ads they have when you first open the app (sales, drops, etc) it take 10 seconds to open and if you swipe home or to another app, it just crashes. Literally going through the web browser is more reliable than this app.

That Drops animation that plays every time I open the app? Get rid of it. Show it once the first time I open it, sure. But every time? I generally like the app and use it to research, purchase and do in store pickup. But this seemingly minor issue is really bad UX. Maybe you're trying to hide the loading? Maybe don't put a video ad on the home page.

Trying to make an account payment on my Best Buy card is like watching paint dry. I have to tap buttons 2 or 3 times to get things to register. If you forget and tap the X instead of the 3 lines, it kicks you out of being logged in to pay. If you try to log back in,it says you have more instances of the app open, or you didn't log out of the previous session. Very frustrating! Been dealing with it since 2020. I dont know why we can't just have the app redirect us to the bank to make the payment!

The app itself is mostly fine, but there's a frustrating permissions requirement. I'm trying to view the terms of my protection plan, but it says I must enable storage permission in settings. When I go to settings, there is no option for storage access. The closest permission is photos and videos. I enabled that and the app now constantly crashes at launch, I have to uninstall and reinstall to use it again. The issue comes back every time I try to access the terms. App works fine if I dont try.

Poor new UI design. I'm not sure who took over but these new design choices are some of the worst! More difficult to navigate and more often than not there are issues. Currently the Shopping carts are not properly working. I can add to my shopping cart but shows as empty when I click shopping cart. Do better Corey! These choices are driving customers away. Hubert would be disappointed.

This holiday season, I decided to give the app another try after years of not using it. It seemed to work fine until today. It works fine until you decide to check out, when your cart shows empty. You can go back to the item and add it again, which briefly shows your cart total double in cost, but when you actually go to the cart... empty. The app had an update available, which I'd hoped would fix it, but no. Cart still empty.

Was useful until a few days ago it stopped working. On phone App opens and when you try to enter into the search box you get a message "Something went wrong.... Back/Home". On android tablet it opens up to a blue background, no text or graphics. **Update** uninstalled on both phone and tablet and reinstalled, now both working. I don't trust it.

This app was great for shopping, making payments, & checking on the status of service appointments until recently. Now, it crashes before it even opens. Even if you uninstall & reinstall, it still doesn't work. It crashes when you go to the website as well. This is extremely frustrating & very useless. Please correct the issue.

I placed an order for some wireless headphones and the app advertised I could pick these up from a local store. After placing the order I received an email EVERY HOUR telling me it might not be available for pickup and to change the shipping address. In just a day I received over 35 emails. I changed the shipping address and was charged again for the headphones. It was over $100 and because of this I couldnt get gas for my car. I got stuck for an hour, AVOID BUYING ON THIS APP!!

Chat feature bubble is in the way & nonstop popping up. You can't pre order. If you try type pre order in chat, it gives you the same 4 options that don't apply to your question even kind of. If you don't click on one, but retype the topic, it gives you the same options in an endless loop. If you curse, even accidentally, it kicks you out of chat: "something went wrong connecting to agent" AS IF they were ever going to connect you to an agent. If they actually connect, its to AI, not a person.

Constant resets! When viewing an item, if you click back it always takes you to the homepage! The most frustrating thing ever. You spend time sorting and filtering the items you want to view and then you just get taken back to the homepage every single time when going back after viewing an item. Fix this ASAP! App is unusable because of this.

I'm not happy with Best Buy and their new business model. First, they've done away with their free rewards plan and are now charging for benefits that I used to get for free by being a loyal customer. Second, the only way to accumulate rewards points is by signing up for their Best Buy credit. This used to be part of their free rewards program. Third, and finally, they're doing away with physical media (DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD Blu-ray). I was a loyal customer for well over 20 years. No more.

Until the last update, the app had been been slightly buggy. Annoying sometimes w/ intermittent crashing and/or lag but, functional. Now the app crashes as soon as "Drops" appears or tries to restart itself repeatedly & ultimately crashes. The kicker, even when you try logging in via the web you get re-routed back to the disfunctional app. I'm aware of work arounds for these problems but, one major point of having an app is customer convenience, instead it's gone from flaky to unusable.

The CC access for a Best Buy card is slow, often unresponsive, and I can't download/view statements. I have no trouble downloading PDFs from any other app or site. Also, your back button functionality is beyond frustrating. It takes several clicks through several pages to get to the items you want to browse and then one back click and it takes you all the way out to home page to start all over again. I'm in the market for a new fridge but am so fed up with having to start all over I just quit.

It's a pretty app, but navigation and search functions are abysmal. Getting to a screen that lets you add filters is drawn out and confusing, you have to search every page from home for the right little links stuck between random offers and membership links. Backing out of a product during a search takes you back to home, so you have to get to the spot you can actually input filters and then input them repeatedly to look at different products. It's a chore.

UPDATE: Another update (05/27/24) and the Best Buy trend of making their own app worse continues. Again, can't log in to credit card and related account info. This time, the home page shows me a long list of things I looked at once, with no way to remove those items. Hard to navigate, and 'account' tab never opens. Awful. *old review* The latest update has made me completely unable to log in to my credit card info via my phone. This makes the app literally useless to me. Sucks. Do not use.

App is slow and laggy for every action. Searching, opening item pages. It's a 1-3 second delay after each click/tap which makes you think you didn't press it correctly and then you go to press again and the page shifted and then you press something you didn't want. I have a current flagship phone, so it's not the lack of phone performance. Overall, the app is fine and helpful, but just needs to be sped up.

The UI is improving somewhat piece by piece little by little with the UX becoming easier. There was a moment in time when I had to go to a Best Buy in person to pay my credit card. It was quickly resolved and now the only thing wrong with paying the credit card is the fact the UI is no better than using a web browser. The interface should've never been designed this way ever and should've been integrated into the app. Once resolved 5 stars is a no brainer.

The bill pay with BB & Citibank is the most archaic technology I've seen in the last 15 years. Instead of having separate apps to pay a bill, it's consolidated into one and it's ease to pay the bill is 0/10. If I wasn't more patient, I'd just pay the bill all at once because the set up us so infuriating it makes me not want to even deal with the app ever again. Quite frankly I won't ever make a big purchase from BB ever again considering level of inconvenience.

App is fine for shopping but getting to my credit card to make payments has become impossible. An update put the login screen on a dashboard section of the app and I have to force close just to get the options to show up (This no longer works). Then when I click it it takes me to the same screen as before. Accessing your credit card login to make payments shouldn't be this difficult.
