The Bell Smart Home app is your connection to your home, providing instant control of all system devices and features and real-time customizable notifications.
With this app you can:

If you can find another system do it. If somebody comes to steal my mail they are long gone before my phone alerts me. The price is good but you only get what you pay for. Very disappointed in this problem because we have lost packages as well as mail because the phones did not us alert us in time

It was recently updated and it became less intuitive. They took away the 24 hour view option. It is a mess when trying to see all activity. How it was before was more organized and easy to follow.

Honestly the app lags and sometimes you have to do things three or four times to get it right when you're setting up different parameters Also all applications are offering this and it would be beneficial, your app is only in WHITE and you should offer a DARK MODE The screen is so bright when using the app it's distractive and really annoying.

Consistently have a Malfunction alert. Does not specify what the malfunction is for, only states the model number of the Samsung device. Notifications don't come through, only after reinstalling the app multiple times. When I call for support, noone can help me, just bounce me around. Very disappointed.

Had this app for about 4 years now and waited that long to do a review hoping Bell will improve this app over time. But nope. After all these years, still laggy af, and doesn't connect quickly to doorbell camera. The app frequently crashes too. Currently have this app on my Google Pixel 4 since 2020. Prior to this, ZTE Axon from 2019. Both phones experienced similar issues when using the app. This is probably my only written review on any app Ive ever had. Thats how frustrating this is.

Bare minimum functionality (read: barely works as intended), but you're forced to use it when you use their subscription, wcyd. Schedules are unintuitive: why are they evaluated on the phone's timezone and not the alarm hub's timezone? If I want to schedule my light to turn on while on vacation, I need to manually calculate the timezone offset??? Probably time to hire a UX designer.

No to smart home. Bell smart home is the worst. The cameras don't have audio. You can see but not hear. Also they record by video clip. So once you reach a limit you have to pay for more. And they record so short of a clip that you see when motion is first detected but that's it. If someone robs you u won't get the footage. There is no continuous recording.

This is the worst system I have ever had and I will be contacting bell to cancel services because this is ridiculous. This is not safe when the system doesn't connect, or notify me and there is always an error?! I don't get any notifications for anything..not even when my cameras are activated due to movement. I am paying a monthly fee and not one single aspect of this app or system is working, I am appalled and disgusted at Bell. UPDATE AS OF 6MONTHS LATER, Still does not work, canceled now.

Really quite rudimentary w v few useful features. If you record say, a half day of images of the home while you are away, you have to erase every image, individually. No 'erase all' feature. it takes literally, HOURS To delete the images. This is a $10 programming upgrade. Why not do it? Because they don't care.

I am absolutely apalled by the app is garbage. I just got this less than two weeks ago and when the rules are set it's not working. (The teck set the rules) It's supposed to record when I leave the house. Guess what, left the house and nothing recorded. I have had the tech out here and of course after he left we went to go out and NOTHING RECORDED!!! The tech did his job the app is slow and lags and is pure garbage. I will be cancelling this service it's GARBAGE!

App is ok.. the security services suck.. your limited to 3000 video clips a month.. if you use it up it stops recording, what kind of security system that you pay monthly for stops being secure and limits it's recording.. better off getting your own camera system that takes an sd card.. cheaper and will automatically delete old files when full.. least you get most recent stuff cause. Never again and will never recommend run away fast.

Total garbage. Neither this app nor the website has all the features of the system available for modification. Depending on what you are looking to accomplish, you must use one or the other. I can't believe that Bell would leave it like this for so long. Edit to Bell's reply: I've reached out before. Nothing changes. The context is simple, you cannot access all the feature of the system on either the website or the app. What will contacting you privately do? Edit to 2nd Bell reply: Thank you for acknowledging my exact complaint. There is no way to manage your system in any one location. Not even the hardware panel from what I can tell. Who knows, though. You don't even supply documentation. Edit 3: Considering that I had to teach the last person I talked to what the difference between an Android app and a Windows app was (you can check you call logs. they are recorded for "quality purposes!”) and he refused to escalate the call when asked. As well, I had to show your installer/technician who came on-site how to do things like automate lights with motion detection when they were in-site three weeks ago, I have ZERO confidence that calling you will make any difference and will only aggravate me to no end. Calling you will not fix the app... unless you want me to write it for you.

It works? Yes. Is it good? Far from it. My main issues with it so far are: - I cannot even see the difference between the Home, Sleep, Wake Up and Away Scenes, and how to customize them, and exactly how they interact with the Panel. The app itself and the Panel have very little integration - Forget about editing the capture window on your cameras in the app. - Actually forget about any video settings in the app - Geolocation range is minimum 3km. that's a monstrosity of a diameter.

Sucks. Too restrictive, no real thought in its layout. The hardware, cameras in my case, are junk. For once Bell, why not do something right as opposed to being mediocre or as in this case, plain worse and practically dead last when compared to the competition. When it comes to home automation, make it look like some homework was done before releasing nonsense.

App device descriptions do not match our panel. Onsite Tech has no clue how to fix this. Dispatch says it's an on-site tech issue. Perhaps a bit more training is in order. All the legacy devices are still displayed. If this were 2004 I'd understand the reason for these deficiencies. But in 2024, not knowing how to build a functional app???

I don't know if it's the app or if it's the Bell service itself, but honestly, this thing only works when it feels like it. I've had numerous problems. There's so many times that I don't get notifications when it's important. Their online phone support is absolutely useless, and you will almost always have to have a technician come to your home. Now, the techs I've had are fantastic but limited by this app and service. If I hadn't been locked in for 3 years, I'd cancel and get a better system.

Updated review: I gave this app a negative review previously but a couple of months ago, an update fixed a lot of bugs. It is now working properly and reliably 95% of the time. It still hangs once in a while but for the most part, it's a terrific app with some really good functions. The only thing that would make it perfect would be the addition of a panic button. There is one on the keypad so the app should have one as well.

Only good thing in the package is a cheap video system. The included "Dumb smart light" is only a turn on/off from the phone. The light is not programmable for timed on and off. Wall switch is far more convenient. The same holds true for the Smart receptacle, not programmable.

The 7/24 video view (video camera icon) does not work since the app upgrade with new look and feel. Just keep spinning until it times out. This only happens on Android devices. It works on Apple. Please fix ASAP!!!! 06/23/2024 update - Did some further troubleshooting. Looks like this is only a problem if the android device is connected to 5ghz wifi network or on a 5G or LTE mobile network. The 7/24 video view works on 2.4ghz wifi network and 5G+ mobile network. PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!

Pretty basic app, not much to manage with it. One would expect to be able to set a timer for a device(at least) but nooo, it's too complicated it seems. In comparison, alexa app is far superior in every aspect in terms of what you can customize for a plug, light and pretty much any compatible device. most annoying thing, it refuses to conne t to the camera wben you need it, so forget about talking to whoe er is at the door(70% of the time fail)
