More About Bear's Restaurant

Where do we go after we die? And more importantly, what do we eat?
In Bear’s Restaurant, you play as a little cat who just landed a job at the afterlife’s coziest eatery. As the lone waiter assisting the friendly bear who owns the joint, it’s your job to greet the newly deceased, take their orders, and deliver them each a final meal to help their souls rest in peace.

The only problem is, the clientele here come from all walks of death, and in many cases, they’re awfully indecisive. In order to help send these weary spirits to their final destinations, it’ll be your job to dive into their memories and try to decipher what their last suppers should be. In doing so, you’ll get to see firsthand how they lived, how they died, and what foods left the deepest impressions on them while they were alive.

Winner of the Avex Prize at the 2019 Google Play Indie Games Festival in Tokyo, Bear’s Restaurant is a game that’s touched the hearts of players all around the globe, with over a million downloads worldwide.

If it’s epic battles, mind-bending puzzles, or state-of-the-art cutscenes you’re after, you won’t find them here. But if you’re in the mood for a shorter, more wholesome experience—one that’ll fill your heart like a home-cooked meal you’ll remember for years to come—look no further.

it's so short I wanna cry! I wish I could do more. it's not bombarded with ads and you can finish the game in one sitting. ads only show for this specific option but I wish when viewing the "memory shards" I could watch more ads because it seems I could only view two people's memory and after that it will say the ad is not available.

This game was so sweet and fun! Its a pretty quick game with lots of reading and fun talking options. I haven't enjoyed a game so much in a while and I'll definitely check out others by Odencat!! I love all the characters, and the animations and art is really really well done, the dialogue isn't confusing or boring, and I truly **relish** the time I spent with the customers (You'll never ketchup to my level). Thank you for such an amazing game! I loved it very much!

This is by far the greatest mobile game I've ever played! The story is great as well as the graphics. There is a second chapter, and it is completely worth it. It also makes the game 10x better. The base game is great and interwsting, but the second chapter really expands on bear and cat and just makes it so much better! Absolutely worth it to install and buy the second chapter!

This is a pretty fun game, it's also sweet but also sad since the death of some characters can be tragic. I beat the main story rather quickly. But there's a sequel you can continue on to play if you pay. The sequel is $2.99 and the other option is the complete package which includes no ads and the sequel for $4.99. These aren't bad prices considering the thought and time that has clearly gone into the game.

its a very fun game but after the credits theres a bonus part (i wont spoil it) but it wont play on my pixel 2. it just stays as a black screen. which is sad cause i wanna see how it ends. other than that it's great and emotional and the art style is super cute. Edit: its goes black right after bear says he has to get ready to leave, after the nihility appears. also if i restart the game its starts me over again in the room where you use the memory shards to open the door.

The scripts in this game flow very well with the dialogue and don't waste time delivering the story to you. I wasn't expecting a side character's background story hit me a certain way. This and the music go hand in hand to bring a somewhat immersive experience. I wish there were more mini games along with just the fishing. For a 2d interactive story on your phone, this game is worth the time.

At first I thought it was a hidden horror game from the almost no background and mysterious nature. It was quite the opposite, a game that tells the story of multiple different types of souls and even has a good evil character behind it. It helps by giving you hints but also let's you figure things out for your own, and the game itself does not take very long to finish. The art is quite inspirational for pixel artist and the story is one to shed a tear for, truly a wonderful mobile game.✨

I opened this game expecting something really small, and possibly full of ads. I was amazed to see that it was a not just a simple restaurant game but was more about a rich and heart-wrenching story. I loved it a lot, and I love that there are little touches here and there that you would only know through opening up the game multiple times, trying different choices, etc. I loved it.

THIS is the best game in existence, no ifs and or buts about it. It's sweet and indearing I fell in love with the characters almost instantly, they were all loveable or relatable on some way. and the ending was the most heart mealting thing ever!!! you also aren't required to watch too many ads to finish the game which I appreciate greatly. Once I save up some money, I will DEFINITELY be buying the extention pack. all around, 100/10, would 1000% recommend

this game is absolutely fantastic. I was wrapped up and snatched away by the storytelling and the simple yet beautiful soundtrack. the gameplay is very easy to get a grip on and the art style will have any retro junkie jumping for joy. I highly recommend this. It was so good I find myself very much so contemplating purchasing the next part just to see what happens next!

This game is incredibly fun and engaging with stunning pixel art and a very interesting story! I loved learning about all of the characters and piecing together the life of both Bear and Cat. My favorite of the game came with the second half of the story, as I found not only the art to be amazing but also the emotional connection I formed with the characters. As for preformance, I never ran into any bugs and the advertisements never felt forced or annoying. I LOVE THIS GAME! Thank you OdenCat!

Of this developer's games (of which I've now played 4), this one clearly shows the most attention to detail. The main characters have simple (but heartwarming) interactions. All the same, this is really just a visual novel, so the many ads (and relatively large price for their removal with the full game) are a large detractor.

Lovely game. I enjoyed the story and love how it tied in characters from the previous games. As simple and short as it was, I really loved it. Like others have said, it is very reminiscent of Undertale with the music, cute characters, and dark plotline. My only upset was that it was too easy, but I realize it is almost more of a visual novel. Another great game from this dev!

beautiful art and music and a well written, intriguing, touching story. very well done! the controls are simple and easy to understand, and i didnt encounter any issues/glitches in that category. I havent gone past the sponsor paywall but everything before is great! its actually the first app that ive ever felt happy to pay for additional content. i felt it was well worth the small fee to access the second part of the story, especially considering the great quality of the free game!

One of the most touching games I've experienced... pretty much ever. From the background music and preview in the app store I kinda assumed it was a horror game. It was not. The music and art are absolutely stunning and the characters are fleshed out and compelling. The climax and the ending were a bit cheesy but that small point is really outweighed by *everything* else.

A really good story telling game. Highly suggest having time to sit down and enjoy all of it at once. While short it is worth your time. There is some "paid" items but it's merely to remove ads (they aren't that intrusive either. Only appearing at the bottom of your screen or when you want to see a character's memory.) and for a dlc which I highly suggest! I'll definitely be checking out their other games now!

What an amazing little game. Not at all what i expected. Its a short little story driven game. No difficulty or anything, but honestly it was really good. Heartwarming, but also devestatingly sad. Absolutely advise paying to remove the ads. Totally worth the small price. I really don't even know how to feel having just finished it. That said, the game is VERY short. You can finish it up in 1 play session. Would still recommend, despite that. Fantastic.

For a story type game I kinda expected a little more story. It's hard to follow, but maybe I didnt get far enough to understand it, or maybe it was over my head. Either way, from what I played, do as the screen prompts, and serve people memory meals, i think. Still trying to understand what exactly i experienced. Very calm and relaxing, cute and goofy characters too.

Such a short, wholesome game. I love the concept, style, and the idea of the story. However, although a short time consumer, it still feels repetitive and small. Maybe add things like more interactive objects, let the old man talk!(I was genuinely intrigued on his backstory and it S K I P P E D). Overall, beautiful and hope to see more of these! Just a tad bit slow for a small game.

Okay. I've played an embarrassing amount of mobile games and I rarely leave reviews. I wasn't sure at first, because it's... unique. But this was a ride. Some sensitive topics (a lot), but well done, fantastic story, and a neat, clean bow of an ending. Quick game, no ads, but I will find a way to contribute. Good job, Devs!
