It is indeed decent! The commander version is super fun. If I what it is though, the AI at first seems like a person then magically I sink a pair of ships and the AI sneaks a peak at my board and knows where all my other ships are. I do think it is real AI. But I think the balance of winning vs human play is still incorrect. I like that it doesn't just sink my shop when it hits first thought. That is a plus

1 issue kept me from giving this game 5 stars. I purchased the full package but I frequently have to close and reopen app because of themes being locked. This needs to be fixed. Edit, seems like they fixed that issue I have been playing this game for over a year now and I absolutely love it game is worth it Hope you enjoy also don't be intimidated by somebody else's level just means they've been playing longer

Update - #3 beIow has been fixed. 5 stars now! I love this game when it works. But too often one of three things happens - 1 - I get an "Opponent Left the Game" error message before the game even starts. This happens at least five times before I can connect to an opponent. 2 - There are way too many bot opponents in the Play Online game. 3 - The network connection fails in the middle of the game way too often. This is not a problem on my end as I have no similar issues with any other app.

Game is fun and easy to play. When it works! Disconnects during online play, crashes and sometimes the game just drops you without even saying anything and you're left wondering what happened. Tried to get a refund but took too long and now I'm stuck with a game that works less than half the time I play anyone who's not ai.

Great game with a twist (commanders mode), stable and working well across two tablets or in online multiple mode. Also relatively cheap. Not five stars because of the excessive cost (£13) to unlock commanders and arenas, relative to the base game cost (£3). Btw bought the commanders and can only see them on one device, on my phone where I purchased. Sorted. Basically you need to try to buy the same package on another device and then the app realises you have already purchased.

While I'm totally enjoying the game, no glitches so far, I'm really disappointed that in order to be a girl I have to pay. Or maybe I have to win a gazillion rounds to be a girl, dunno, haven't got there yet. Lame. I don't know how many female ship captains there have been and I don't really care, but I enjoy my gender and would like the ability to be the strong woman that I am in a silly (albeit fun) game of battleship!

Couldn't even play online with friends. At first it said invalid code had to leave and create new game for code to work. Then once joined one was stuck on loading screen after waiting a few minutes. Then 3rd time game it didn't show once my friend had connected. Didn't let me co tinue or anything. Absolute waste of time if you are trying to play with friends. Edit for reply: both of us had the latest version and it wasn't working

At the 1st time I installed this game it doesn't even run, after an update it worked but by then I have already give it 1*, anyway after many many updates and some games in I can now give a better opinion. It's very heavy in size and resources on the phone for the game it is. It's not possible to create an account without Facebook and that's a bad thing IMO... the gameplay is ok, should be much much more faster or at least an option to be more fast. 3* it's the maximum I can give and I think I'm being nice lol.

03/25/23 Update: Even with new devices, this is still an issue where connection is lost. This game is pretty fun. It's too bad you pay for a game and it doesn't work properly. When playing with friends, the game typically gets screwed up some way or another. It's frustrating because you figure, why even bother when it's just going to crash again. This has been going on for so long, I have my doubts on whether or not it'll ever be fixed. Our phones and tablets are from 2021 and always up to date.

Pay for the app sure but why you can't play the dang game constant crashing I have successfully be able to play less than 10 rounds. Took 15 trys to connect to fb for what can't play with my friends who have the game as well. I despise leaving unwelcoming reviews but this is an app I paid for and I would delete it but wouldn't get my money back saddly.

Great game, fun and really brings back the memories of playing battleship as a kid. Would instantly give 5 stars if it wasn't so full of problems. Server connection is terrible, kicks you out of games constantly and replaces you or your opponent with AI. Constantly says invalid codes when trying to join a game (when the codes are correct). Great game when it works but they seriously need to sort out these issues especially for a paid game, it's a joke..

Bought this on Google play for my family of phones, added on 3 steam accounts, and purchased on Nintendo Switch. So far we can play phone to phone, steam to steam, phone to steam, but not those options with Nintendo. Nintendo Switch we can connect with 2 phones local (uses free separate Battle Grid app) but cannot connect with steam or phones. Family of 7 (5 sons) all love playing this game. We love Hasbro and Beyblades too!

I want to give this game 5 stars. The design is 5 stars. However, online play is a mess. Most of the time, I get matched with a bot, and it's pretty obvious. The few times I don't, it's fun, but there are often connection issues. I'll get a "trying to reconnect" screen, that has a 14 second countdown, and has never once reconnected. I just got bumped out of a really close game and I am sad about it.

It's a good digital version of the board game. My son and I played this game while quarantined away from each other during the COVID-19 pandemic. Connection held up pretty well but on occasion we would lose connection or the game would take over. Overall I'm pleased and I did notice that over time, we were able to stay connected and finish games to the end.

It's Battleship. Classic mode and with a twist. Different grid layouts and commanders. The new mode is best but I deduct stars for three things. 1) the coin flip either chooses the last game winner of gives preference to the computer if you win multiple games in a row. 2) I bought all the extra commanders the computer will only pick from the base 3 commanders. (Each one has their own special ability.) 3) commanders special ability to cost, some are not well Ballenger. Minor things still fun.

The game is fun, especially the new commanders mode. However, it never works when attempting to play with friends. My friends and I have cleared our caches and reinstalled the game repeatedly over the last year to attempt to remedy the issues. It constantly fails to actually let us play together and no patch has ever been released to fix this. Incredibly frustrating, if I could get a refund I would.

App always says I have no internet connection even when every other app on my phone works just fine with an internet connection. I just installed it for the first time so caching is not the issue here.why pay for something that doesn't work. I just want to play this with my brother-in-law. I've tried connecting with the app on both wi-fi and on my data plan, same problem and it looks like I'm not the only one with this issue. Plesse fix fit, else I'll have to request a refund. An reinstall fixed
