More About BatteryBot Battery Indicator

BatteryBot Battery Indicator is the original battery indicator app for Android™, released in 2009 as simply "Battery Indicator." Both the free and the Pro versions have maintained a 4.5+ star rating in Google Play from the beginning. It offers two modes: the original status bar indicator and now also a desktop widget. You can use either or both, as you please.
BatteryBot monitors and shows your battery charge level (percent) as an icon in your status bar, with how much time you have left, temperature, health, voltage, and time since plugged / unplugged in the notification area. It now also has a 1x1 app widget. The Pro version also has user-configurable alarms, logs, mA current information, and a large (4x1) widget.

Give it a try -- it's free and open source! BatteryBot Battery Indicator requires NO special permissions whatsoever. It's an excellent and complete solution to your battery needs.

Features:

• No ads (why would you want a battery app with ads?)
• Exact battery level in the task bar
• Or hide the task bar icon, keeping notification in tray — or turn notification off completely and just use widgets
• Multiple icon set options
• Automatic time-remaining estimates based on recent usage
• Small (1x1) circle desktop widget
• Notification (with status bar icon) is now optional -- can be used as just a desktop widget
• Very lightweight (please email me if you think otherwise, and I'll help you figure out what's wrong — I promise this app will not drain your battery!)
• Shows 1% increments even on most Motorola devices
• Well-tested and supported on all major versions of Android (2.1 through 7.0; Eclair through Nougat) and form factors (small phones, medium phones, large phones, 7-inch tablets, 10-inch tablets).
• Open source

For those who want more than is offered in the free version, or for those who just like to support small, independent developers like me, the Pro version remains lightweight while packing in many useful features:

Pro-only Features:

• Alarms (fully charged, charge above X, charge below X, temperature above X, or health failure)
• (On devices that allow it) Icon colors (including fully configurable green, amber, red, and black icons)
• (On most devices) Electric current (mA / milliamp /milliampere) reading to/from battery on supported devices
• Large (4x1) desktop widgets
• Battery logging. You can log the battery state (charge, status, voltage, temperature) and browse the logs on the phone or export to CSV.
• Control the notification priority on Android 4.1+ (For example, you can set to "minimum" to hide the icon but keep the notification in the tray.)
• Lots of configurability of behavior and appearance.
• The charging indicator (the bolt under the number that indicates when the device is being charged) for the sets that have it is optional in the Pro version.

Here's the BatteryBot business model / philosophy:

1) Ads are annoying. For some apps, ads might make sense, but a system utility should not have ads.

2) The free version should be simple but useful; it shouldn't feel crippled.

3) Some people choose to purchase the Pro version because they want extra features, some because they want more customization, and many because they just want to say "thanks" for the free version and support small, independent developers like me.

I like it it useful but it has a somewhat annoying bug which continously make my phone think it's a notification. When the sound is on for notification it just plays the notification sound constantly. Could you guys fix it?

Love this app. Simple and it works great. Other apps had too much extra stuff and wouldn't stay on homescreen. This works all the time....and is add free!!

Works well so far. Numbers are black when background is white and white when background is black without having to change them in settings. I would give 5 stars if app had the option to use larger numbers.

Not very good. When I look at battery percentage in pull down bar, it gives me a false reading everytime. So when I think I've got enough power and then tap on widget, the real amount comes up. Which is misleading and inconvenient as I could walk out of the house thinking I've got enough juice, only to find out that I'm running low.

This is the perfect basic battery app. The widget shows me a circular graph of the amount of battery power I have remaining . If I tap on the icon it shows me more useful information. I love that it does not have any ads.

It's a nice application, indicating the battery percentage. It indicates the charging, the timing at present taking for the charge and the time to be taken for the remaining charge. A very very useful application. Thanks to the developer as well as Google for this beautiful app.

Excellent replacement for my phone (Umidigi) which has no on screen battery check, (ie) you have to pull down from top to see anything, but this app enables a widgit which I can see at a glance, also all the info I need to see like charging indicator & how long to full charge by pressing widgit, well done developers 10 stars.

The notification can be denied by Android settings but it still shows app is running in background. Not for previous version though. I was able to disable in bot's settings itself. Rest is ok, I am conscious weather it uses lot of power and processing running in background even after closing.

Ad Free. Easy to read display. Never crashes. Well designed. Very useful! Hidden when needed, easy to go full screen quickly. Small % indicator on Lock Screen so battery remaining won't require unlock to ascertain. Wish all apps designed like this. Using Samsung 8+.

Nice tiny 2MB app that gets it done without any billshut. Notification Icon can be configured for simple easy to read number. But, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add electrical currents (amps, milliamps) and logging. Battery Log is another good tiny battery app. If you want a simple battery monitor, this is a good one.

Cool. Does as it says. I use it for my BOINC app to see where my battery temp's are, as it doesn't compute past the temp I set it to. I have ideas to improve it further: 1) show °C with °F, not one or another, 2) let the status bar show the battery temp as an option, as I don't need the % level - my phone already shows that.

The app has worked well until I updated my galaxy s10+ to Android 11. The percentage indicator randomly turns off and the status in the notification shade also turns off randomly. This makes it hard to monitor the battery's health. **PLEASE UPDATE THE APP*

Nice that it shows how long until battery is fully charged. I like the look. No ads is the plus I wanted. This kind of app/widget shouldn't have ads. Simple, clean, uncluttered, and has more stuff if you want it for a reasonable price. Excellent work.

Doesn't seem to give more information than the Battery settings page in Android Settings & has a rude "you disabled notifications turn the notifications back on & choose what you want to disable from the app", which isn't necessarily bad, telling me I'm missing out is fine, but making it sound like the app won't work properly if it can't show you notifications is just relying on ignorance as that setting doesn't change what it can do/the info it has access to.

Good, but not as good as it used to be. The percentage figure was fairly accurate, but the graph and info related to time since last charge seems broken. On a large battery phone (8300mahr) the graph used to be an easy visual to see how many days since last charged, but no more. Now it randomly resets to less than a day in use, when I know it's been 2-3 days (or more). Also the timer since charge also resets, like the graph, is this linked?

Excellent app! Very user-friendly. The only thing that would make it even better is if it displayed the current charge level right on the app icon itself all the time, or in some other conspicuous place on the home page, so that the app wouldn't always have to be opened, just to see the percent charge number... received a prompt response to this! I added the widget from BatteryBot, and it worked perfectly! Now this app is PERFECT! It definitely seems to be the best battery app out there now!...

Please allow the option to disable the battery meter at the top of the screen because some phones already have this option. And it is redundant to have this notification twice. Also, the older version allowed you the option to disable this feature. Please bring it back. You can turn off the main notification Channel but then you not only turn off the battery indicator in the notification bar, but you no longer get information in the notification panel about battery temp and remaining power.

Prior to version 12.0.0 the battery circle was dark with white text... now it's reversed, and there's no way to change bit back... distressing, like something Microsoft would do. Give us a way to make it esthetically pleasing so it matches home pages. Glad it's free and functional. No ads, doesn't hog the battery.

Have only used this wonderful app for a short time since upgrading my smartphone to a Motorola Moto G Play two wks ago(which I love). Been searching for a simple battery indicator app on the google play store & came across this one, absolutely love it,easy to use,not complicated at all, has the temp reading, percentage, plus time remaining that shows a battery pic with time level. Works for me, thanks for a great app with no ads, one of the reasons I chose it.

Been using the app for over 10 years and I love how basic it is. It does exactly what it needs to do. My latest phone does have one problem that I don't know is caused by the app or device itself. The main notification will go away constantly when the phone is locked and off. Reopening the app brings it back. Sometimes it even goes away while the phone is on and in use. Please tell me either how to fix this issue or possibly make an update to fix for everyone. Galaxy a10e
