BasicNote - Notes, Notepad

I've tried several of your note apps and this BasicNote I like best of all. Simple, easy on the eyes in either dark or light mode. A clean straight forward app. The only suggestion I have is that there should be an option for font size on the category page and the front titles page. I appreciate that option on the individual post pages. Other than that it's the perfect notes app. Please add the extra font size options!

Pretty good, simple (which is what I wanted), but a few problems: 1) have to click an edit icon any time you open a note to add to it. Not horrible, except this icon is next to the delete icon, & I've almost deleted notes several times, 2) I just lost a whole session's worth of notes by accidentally brushing the "undo" icon at the top (why is it needed?), 3) can't reorganize existing notes. I may look for another app, but this one has served in the meantime.

Outstanding. Very simple. I use it all the time for materials lists, grocery lists, foreign language definitions (it will save notes in Thai) or anything I need to write down when I don't have my hands free (speech to text). When I change phones I simply back it up, move the file over, restore, and all my notes are on the new phone. Took me 90 second, tops.

This is great for keeping track of stuff or just jotting down thoughts so you don't lose them! Advice on use: Use notes instead of check list if you want to reorganize your lists. Check list is great if you are okay with everything being in the order originally put down. There are ads but they are out of the way and never very big. Normally I don't even notice the ads, when they show up it is kind of like a border decoration. Very nicely designed!

Great little app for jotting down quick notes to refere back to. I think it could be a little better though. The one i used in the past allowed me to highlight different notes different colors i.e. pink, green, blue, white, tan..... This one doesnt give you that option. The option to change font style, color and highlight would be great features to have. 😁

Great but lacks one vital feature. The design is minimalist and I find that a very positive thing. The app is perfect for collecting those random thoughts that one can easily forget later. A good habit is to create a list of thoughts such as to do items, things to pick up at the store etc. Then just add as the thoughts come into your head. All this app lacks is an ability to format notes. I would live to see the ability to change the fonts and sizes of text, italics, bold & color within a note.

I am a fan of simple, clean, and well put together apps. This app is exactly that, if you are looking for an all-in-one notepad style app with loads of options and features, this is not for you. If you just want a easy to learn/use, straight forward notepad that is asthetically pleasing BasicNote is just that. I am very pleased I found it. Thanks to the creators of this notepad app that suits me perfectly!

This is amazing! I like how they included the ability to lock your notes, and you also can change the size of letters. This very important when you are using notes and information. This is also good when you are using it for homework. Great to take down notes! Me personally, I love this app and every detail that is included. I just think they should allow you to change the colors, unless I'm just over looking. Otherwise, this app is extremely amazing and accurate!

Simple and easy to use and SO MUCH BETTER than the updated Samsung Notes. Easy to use to make lists, with an option to make them checklists (tap the item and it puts a line through it, but leaves it there so you can see what you checked off). Thank you, Samsung Notes! If your latest forced update hadn't made your Notes so complicated and intrusive I would never have found this app! This app keeps things simple & easy which is why someone uses Notes instead of a Word document in the first place.

It's great Notepad app. I like it. You can back up locally or online. Has password protection and screen selection for Day time and night. But still needs improvement. I want to see date and time stamp in small print at the front or just above my notes. Now you have to go to press i to get info of your notes. I will keep using it . Thank you 🙏 Update: BasicNote Stamps date for my notes and I can easily see when I created my note now. It has all future that I need. Easy to use. 👍

Couple of things have been problematic. Whenever you start an edit it resets your position to the top of the document. This is a significant headache. The new version does not has a scroll handle on the right so you cannot locate the position you want to make an edit anymore... pay version? Since the scroll handle went away I'm not sure I would risk it.

The app is super basic which is something that was important to me. A few things that bother me is how when I exit out of it and click back into the tab it changes the mode to dark mode but after I "save" it, it switches back to the original color that I had. I also dislike how when I click the edit button it brings me to the very top of my note and not where I was at when I was previously looking. I also would like to see more color themes for dark mode rather than black/yellow.

good, basic, app. But takes a bit to learn functions such as edit name of a note then touch Edit to edit the note itself. If you are editing the name there should be a save/cancel, and if you want to edit the actual note, that would be a direct edit and not this 2 step process. While there is a basic backup/restore, it is only on the local phone, no cloud backup. And you can't access the notes from another device. No bullets are available. Although you can make checklists

This is a good note app. However, the editing option is frustrating because when editing, right in the middle of typing it jump downs to the end of page. This makes it hard to see what you are editing. This should be modified to stay at the location I'm editing. ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS????

Had this app for 3+ years. It was 5 stars until the recent update. They tried fixing something that wasn't broken, going against their 'simple notepad' statement. The new organizational features + choosing your own color scheme are lovely, but I wish they kept the original layout + look. It's all personal preference, but what appealed to me about this app was the simplicity, and it could have been kept it if they put the new features behind settings and not on the front screen. Pretty good notebook app! It's simple yet has a lot of good features, such as categories, dark mode, bulk sharing, automatic links, and even tagging notes. The only problem I have is that I wish the undo button didn't undo so much at once, and I wish there was a redo button. Without a redo button, and not knowing exactly how much "undo" will remove, it makes using the undo button difficult. I wish undo would remove only one word at a time. Other than that, it is a very nice app!

Love the app. Very minimalistic and easy to navigate. My only gripe is the lack of formatting options like bold and italics, which I personally think should be the standard for even a basic notes app, but other than that, the app works beautifully! I especially love how I'm never being bombarded with ads or popups to buy the premium/no ad version like with other apps. If a formatting option is ever available in the future, I would for sure give 5 stars!
