I'm very disappointed in using the service. When I signed up in the app. I received emails from Bark that stated that if you dont get hired, at least once that they would give you the credits back. I purchased credits to get leads using the app. Now, when I called because I didn't get hired, I'm being told that because I purchased the credits through the app that it doesn't apply to their guarantee. This is a very deceptive practice. I think that everyone should stay away from this company.

Packages are really expensive and you get no response from a potential client. I got the starter pack which guaranteed a return of coins if you don't get a job which was nice but even after getting the return of coins I still didn't sign a job. Not sure if the jobs are fake but the clients don't respond. I never used this platform after my experience. Not going to spend $100 just to apply to appropriately 5 potential jobs to repeatedly be taken advantage of.

confusing and misleading. I can only speak for the industry in which I market. Security request are 17 credits the advertisment states $74.25 for 45 credits with "about 5 responses" that is grossly mistaken. Basic math puts that at 2.64 so rounding up is 3. So I can only submit 3 quotes per package. Thats fine and all its the way they choose to do business but its misleading. My average customer reponse rate is 30% so we have to spend over $1,200 for it to be worth it. Great leads BTW

Every lead I've purchased credits for has not answered when reached out. Whether it is email, phone call or text. Okay sure, The risk of not getting lead is understood, but the screening needs to be better. Ex. I've been getting bombarded by a "Vincent" for a website quote every couple of days, showing he is in a different city every time. Ready to spend 5k and wants us to email separately from the system. It's an obvious SCAM and yet even though I've declined it 6x so far. He still reaches out.

Horrible, I haven't booked any clients had app for a month now. Got a spam user asking for surety fee. To do comercial job and wasn't anything but a spammed. Ask to refund credits they give partial and no new leads. This is just another lead service taking money and not providing clients, I've had many wrong phone numbers, no calls back, people looking for work instead of clients. Completely horrible lead service.

If you charge $30 per hour or less for photography services, this is the perfect system for you. Their led gen doesn't screen so you end up paying for dead data, and if you want to be reimbursed for fake leads, they have an entire process for that. So you have a easy screening that doesn't work, but not an easy way for credits to restore?

Completely useless and Very very expensive to use the app. Credits are just to expensive and very low credit in return. I spend some serious money and never had one client getting back to me and the worst part is that if someone response then it's a credit card scammer or a fun made request by some idiot who is playing around to make us loose credits. I lost some serious money for nothing on this app. I am very disappointed and very angry at this. DO NOT USE THIS APP. Your waisting your money

The website and app are a good idea with helpful features for managing contacts. Customer service isn't bad either. So why the 3 star review? Biggest problem: Fake & dead leads. Maybe on average, 7 out of 10 ppl I've paid money to contact never returned multiple phone calls, texts and emails. Out of the ones with whom I did get in contact, many had already found a tutor. Proposed solution: Charge ppl looking for services a nominal fee (even $1) per contact, so you weed out fakes & scammers.

These can't be leads from serious candidates. The guarantee of getting booked or they will reissue your credits to reuse is bogus. I've responded to multiple leads with no response at all (text messages to verified #'s for leads). People who rarely respond back indicate they already have someone but were just checking prices. You end up with a balance of credits that aren't enough to respond to a lead. Then you have to buy more, and the cycle starts all over again.

Just signed up. Highly expensive to get any credits that are gone almost instantly. Had a customer request a quote on service and we aren't able to contact her due to not being able to purchase additional credits in smaller increments. Please make the service more affordable or a Monthly subscription based option or we'll be gone by the end of the week.

I do get jobs with this app. The credit system isn't that good as you pay $44 minimum each time and most connections cost about $5 each. But a gig that might be bigger cost anywhere from $15-$30 to contact which doesn't make sense for a company like mine that charges the same for every customer. Also I have a out a 20% response rate from customers who post leads.

Alot of leads but no one responds back. I've had it for 1yr and only gotten maybe 3 clients from over 100 leads and over $1000 spent. I buy the lead, text them and nothing. There's some that answer me but are looking for a job. I've had 5 so far and the worse thing is we get charged as a commercial lead which is alot of credits (about 30 which is about $50) I've gain nothing from this app but lost alot. I joined another one which gives you more options, more leads and refunds if needed

As a bookkeeper in Colorado Springs, I filled out their online profile, and my inbox and phone were loaded up with potential leads. Cost me $425 for their internal credits to bid on jobs. I bid on several of them, but I never had any type of response. Bark refused to return any credits from their get hired guarantee, except for the job I wasn't qualified to do. My advice is to spend money on Google ads or next-door ads. You might actually get a response from a potential client!

It could be good. Greed, misinformation, and a touchy app that purchases things without confirmations are all evident. This has the potential to be better than Thumbtack, if they took what they do right, and improved I what they do wrong. With this, you have to pay just to bid, Thumbtack you only pay if they respond. This ends up being 6 or 7 times more expensive. On top of that, it appears unlimited pros can send and contact customers... So they get bombarded with calls, emails and messages. Unlike Thumbtack where there is a limit. And there is no description of the job until you pay. I read a review that ended with this, and it's dead accurate from what I've seen so far: "the only one that wins from this model is Bark"

I felt completely ripped off using BARK for photography leads. It’s overpriced, and most leads weren’t verified or serious, leading to wasted time and money. Many were unwilling to pay fair prices or weren't ready to book, yet I lost points anyway. I requested a refund but was only given more app access, which was equally unproductive. The platform lacks quality control and fairness for professionals. Overall, a frustrating and costly experience—I would not recommend it.

Bad clone of Thumbtack. I got some leads (photography) at the beginning. Right now, it is a total scam. A lot of paid stuff, badges, elite pro subscriptions, etc. They are only trying to make money from you, not for you. The app is a total trash, design, functionality - all from the 90s, crushing all the time. 8 out of 10 leads are fake, never answered, one of them was a dead person (!)

This app isn't great, a $ grab. The credits used are uneven and will force you to buy more. Some potential clients' #s don't work, but when sending issue to customer service, their response is they verify numbers. This app needs to have in place when customers have hired a professional. If not, credits are wasted. I have 4 credits on account and can't use them unless I purchase more.

I've been using this app for 8 months now. I have payed and contacted more than 30 leads with just ONE hired. Most of the "Leads" are unresponsive and seems like a scam. I have spend hundreds of dollars for just 1 good lead in 8 months. Seems like a great app to connect clients with professionals but in reality you will spent a lot of money for hopefully one good lead. I'm a photographer by the way with lots of experience, reviews and sample photos to show.

spent way too much money on here, and have not booked a thing... used this for my other company years ago and it was great. Now when I call leads, I get same voice message on every number that no one is available and when I leave a voicemail or text no one ever gets back to me... think I'm leaving BARK. Been on Thumbtack less than a week and booked over $5000 In 3 days.. no brainer. Even set up an appointment with Bark to get on a monthly credit payment plan and no one got back to me.

scammers, you pay for credits to be able to buy leads. min purchase is $210 for credits. It comes out to $1.75 a credit, leads cost 32 credits. I bought leads and a after a year an after spending $4000 they did a audit and said some of the leads had wrong prices displayed and for example instead of 32 creidts it should have been 34 , so they took away all my remaining credits about $200 worth. they said as a favor they should have taken more but since I only had $200 left they limited it that.
