Signed up for an account on the app. This took 2 days as the app wasn't working. Then it worked for 1 day and has now stopped working again. Keeps giving error codes. As ordered I uninstalled and reinstalled a new version, now back to square one. One of the worst banking apps I've used. I expect I'll get a message from a barclays person telling me to contact them via X. No, I don't want to use an app run by the world's biggest bell end. I'd rather you just put together apps that work.

Great app, love it... works far better than many rivals apps. All the features I need, haven't needed to go into a branch in years now. Some of the reviews here are ridiculous, I'm sure most of the 1 star reviews are people with dodgy/ rooted phones. It clearly says it doesn't work on rooted phones. If you dick around hacking your device, that's your problem.

Just doesn't work! Can't make payment as any time you go away from the barclay app it closes down. So you can't go and authenticate a payment in another banking app then come back to it to continue. Can't do anything that takes you away from the app screen in full or it just disappears and you have to start again. Never had anything like it before in any other banking apps. It's unuseable! Rubbish!

Awful. 1. Outdated and deeply lacking in features compared to online banks. 2. No emails, no notifications on transactions for better security. 3. Doesn't allow you to be in charge of your account. 4. Constantly asks for a pin even if you use fingerprints. What's the point with the fingerprints then?? 5. When you call from within the app, it doesn't work, and you have to go through the whole manual process. Etc., etc.

Very very slow to open up on logging in and even slower to access account details. Otherwise fine. The app today has crashed 6 times, really not acceptable. Once into the app it's fine, but not much use if it keeps crashing. Tried using it today 11th September 9 times it crashed still haven't been able to get into my account. I notice others were experiencing the same problems in july, the question was asked by a different user why haven't you fixed the issues. Appalling.

Very difficult to switch to another device, even if you have the old one present. It crashed during the process, failed to generate an activation code, failed to read the debit card and then forced me to photo my drivers license and record a video and still didn't complete the setup. Frustrating bad. That said, when it is setup it is adequate at providing basic banking functionality.

Useless. Doesn't stay open in multitasking so when making a payment for partner finance account, can't switch to other bank app to approve as this just closes. Waste of time. EDIT: App logout time is not something that's exists in the settings menu. It is not that problem anyway. As soon as you go into multi tasking the app force closes as it won't run in background, so it's a design flaw with the app. No other finance apps I have do this.

Every time I try to use the app, I get the message 'something went wrong at our end'. Such a waste of time. Help pages are full of errors. The help page says there is a message function on the help section of the app, I've searched every corner of help and it doesn't exist. App closes if you navigate away from it e.g. to read the security code they text you, makes using the app very frustrating. Set up and ID check was awful, really unpleasant and actually upsetting process.

For me this app currently is disappointment, because paying a check in is hit an miss. Typing an amount in for example £100 it tells me in red that I must pay a minimum of 1p. I log out, I log back in try again and...it excepts my amount. Then the photos of the cheque are not what I lined up with in the Box on the screen, perfectly square and perpendicular however it saves what I can see is a photo taken by a drunk. After several attempts and with the room light set to 6500k daylight.. success.

Find it a most helpful aid to keeping track of my finances. There are two additions i would like to see. One is, if they were to show my regular incoming payments in the calendar overview, not just my outgoings. Second, is the ability to be able to make a personal note by each payee to remind me of what service they provided. Other than that, thank you for this app Barclays. Easier than the online for quick access.

Gradually improved. Would still like to be able to check one-time payments in the app rather than having to go back to desktop Updated 3/8 following developer response... One-time payments. eg schedule a single payment three weeks ahead, this is not visible in the app so that can be checked or amended, thus have to use desktop

Just a little concerning it asks to allow your device to check the relative distance to other devices. Why would you need that, Barclays? I selected Don't Allow, but who knows if that makes any difference. Likely not. I can't see I will be using this much longer. Otherwise, a fairly intuitive app, easy-ish to use.

Generally works well and mostly does what is needed. However that is until you need to get in contact with Barclaycard. The features to message or call Barclaycard are missing from 'Help' (or well hidden). I am very annoyed. The Barclaycard web pages "Contact Us" and "How to make a Complaint" refer to this. There is no alternative to email or phone. The automated phone line limits what can be done and there are long waits to speak to a human.

Fantastic and very easy to use, highly convenient! Only issue I have found so far is that photographing cheques can be tricky Update at 27.7.21. photos of cheques has got worse if anything. It should offer an option to chose when to take the photo as the automated system times it incorrectly. An option to search payments to a particular payee would be useful. Rest works very well. Update 13.8.2024 Not entered cheques since last time. Search facility can be improved significantly

Can't multitask with this app. If you navigate to another app it will close the app and you'll have to restart whatever you were doing. Perfect example is that I was working on the switch from another account. To do that you need to enter your current sort code and account number. However, each time I switch to the other bank to retrieve the values I have to start again in the Barclays app which makes it impossible. 2 stars because t highlighted this huge app flaw - before I made the switch (:

The last update has made it really easy to get a statement by selecting an account with the nickname you've assigned to it which is so handy (especially when you have to download statements for a shared credit card). This app would be a perfect 5 stars if the credit cards also showed me how much I've spent since the last statement amount, not just the total. That information will help people manage their spending especially if they have a budget they need to stick to that they can afford.

Good but could do better. When transferring between accounts, if the amount is large, the current account balance alters immediately but when transferring small amounts the current accounts balance fails to alter until you log out and then log back in. In short 'a nuisance.' Other than that great little app. Also, would be nice to see the balance in each account when transferring.

App is ok to check your accounts but absolutely useless when it actually comes to making payments. I went to buy a car and went through the process to add a new payee and pay £2000. They payment appeared to go through but then no info is shown anywhere to show the status of the transaction. The payee didn't receive anything at that moment so could not complete the car purchase. Also statements are not saving to the phone storage or Google Drive. The files are always 0K in size.

Stay away from this bank. You will regret to be a customer of Barclays every time you need to get a service. So secure that is annoying. Can not copy entered text from the input view, can not past the text. When switch to another app and come back input is erased and chat is lost! No ability to edit text after it is sent. Horrible application and horrible service. Representatives asking the same questions every time. In Barclays UK I had the worst banking experience in my life.
