This App is awesome. Exactly what I need for what I want to do and be discrete while doing it. The ONLY complaint that I can make is that, some times on longer films like 15mins or more, the Video playback will stop (or freeze) while timer runs to the finish. In plain words, you lose the footage due to what ever malfunctions or mishaps, not to sure if you can fully blame the Creator for the flaw either.. other than that if that would never occur it would have five stars great job.! - ToXxX

I've only used the app once or twice really and uninstalled. I also made a point to cancel the pending subscription ($45.89/year) within 3 days. I'm now going over my history for the past 6 months and there they are. A $45.89 charge to my account on day 3 (5/23/23) and another one for the same amount on 6/9/23. Having a hard time even contacting them so that I may challenge these charges. Their "website" is a music player app on Google play.

Tried opening from the Store, after installing. Got stuck in a loop trying to set it up. I granted the permissions (storage, camera, microphone), and then it kept asking for ”draw over other apps” and I couldn't exit that screen using the back button (with or without allowing it), it kept popping up. Uninstalled and reinstalled, a few times. No luck. Hit the home button, force stopped the app, cleared the cache and data and opened it from my app drawer, a few more times. Results were the same 👎

Been great. Has widgets to add to home screen for easy quick recording. Done so secretively and can be good for recording situations of people doing wrong. I've used it mostly to record driving (road in front) while still being able to use my Google Maps. It's pretty neat to watch the playback after driving, playback at high-speed, and see the surrounds zooming by. Would be cool to have both front and back cameras going at the same time but that's probably a limitation of the phone.

What a POS. The video will stop randomly and the audio will go on. If you even try to skip ahead trying to find a part of the clip where video is working again, it will just go right back to where the video stopped and start over audio only from there. This app is trash. I have hours of abuse, that I thought was recorded fine, from my wife and this app made it useless.

This app has never given me any issues and does exactly what it's designed for! I think the ad free version is a bit on the expensive side, not that $7.99 is much money but compared to other apps... maybe $3.99 per year. UPDATE: More feedback for developer. It would be a nice feature to be able to disable the microphone - I can't think of one instance where I needed sound and actually I do not want audio recording along with the vids.

This is the best of the 10 I've tried as far as consistancy (it works 99%), but I wish it had some of the cool features other apps have like SMS start/stop, shortcut icons you change the looks of, automatically start a new recording after a reached time/MB limit, but consistency is a BIG deal, so great job there, not buggy like ALL the rest. I can turn off sound recording and legally use it as a dashcam totally in the background (Uber/Lyft). 4.5 stars rounding up... thanks!

Too many ads pop up all the time , even when the app is close. While writing this short review, it's done it twice already. It's getting super annoying and until I know for sure the ads will stop and the app would definitely work there is no way I would even consider wasting my money on. I have eleven been able to check any of the recordings because 2 the

Defaults to 5 mins max record time. That's dumb. I paid for premium, but it's still defaults to the lowest limit, so I missed a bunch of the show. Also, the sound didn't record for two of the videos, which is irritating because I'm playing music! I can't recommend this app, it is unreliable and not user friendly. Definitely not worth $8 a month.

I've tried multiple recording apps and really didn't care for them. When I am in need of a recording app, it is imperative that it works and works without default. So far, this app has done just that. A few suggestions that would make this app perfect: -Having the ability to compress the recording and send it to an outside file source. -Have the ability to change and/or hide the icon -The ability to hide the recording screen while in use. Thank you for a damn near close to perfect app.

Works good but doesn't record for more then 30min. Even if it says in the saved file 45 minutes was recorded or whatever. It's actually only 30min and cuts the video feed off. Doesn't matter what video player you use to open it with. Also, I had it on unlimited recording in the settings, and even tried setting it for 120 min thinking the unlimited was wack, but unfortunately, it had same outcome. If that was fixed, this app would be 5 stars, until then solid 3. They updated it, 5 stars now

It has worked fine for me. It's free, your videos don't appear in your gallery. Some ads but not too bad. It records for a long time. 45 minutes the longest for me, no issues playing the videos. Audio and video have good quality. I use it in my Samsung Note 9 btw. Maybe some phones may trouble running it. I don't think it's the app. It may be their devices. Overall is good.

Every video I've made is a frozen frame and the audio of the filming. After the entire audio has played out the video will sometimes play in silence or not at all. You can't skip ahead. You can't go back (unless you want to start all the way from the beginning). I gave 1 star because its virtually a waste of time to use this app. Developer, if the sound and video sync it'd be 3 stars, and if there was a way to save to the sd card and be able to skip back and forward I'd give it a 5 star ratin

I downloaded this app for the purpose of quick and immediate recording in serious situations. Almost the very moment I opened bvr, it displayed a full screen video ad that I could not skip. Every single press of a button to look at settings, to test the program, resulted in an ad playing. I have never experienced such an aggressive ad system in an app. It's almost like malware. I uninstalled it as soon as I could. I cannot personally recommend it because I cannot properly test it.

This app took me a while to figure out . If you have your phone set to " ask every time" under the settings for where to save files, and you do not use the apps ' suggested location you will be unable to open the files to view inside the app. (Or such was my experience) - the developer was helpful and I got it figured out now. Thanks 😊

I am always honest when I give a star rating. I am also hard to impress. This app performs exactly how it claims to and has zero bugs that I know of. Also I really like how it stays recording when the screen goes black, even if the phone locks it records. I have tried other apps and they don't work from a black screen and they charge you a fee. I feel like every standard of mine was met and the "background video recorder" app has earned each one of the five stars I gave it.

Works very well, as you can record with the phone screen turned off.. So nobody knows you are recording. The downside is, you have to go through about 3 ads before you can hit the record button... and then a couple more ads before you can watch the video you recorded.
