Game started out "ok", but the more you play, the more you lose. On the average, towards the end of the game, the computer will get 4 to 6 sets of doubles, mostly 4's, 5's and 6's to catch up and win the game. That's not realistic or fun. Deleted game as I am not a novice and reality is better than playing against a computer using loaded dice

Agree with others about the scoring glitch. I would also add that I HATE game AI's that cheat or are manipulative. I have played many, many hours of backgammon and while this game is among the best, it appears quite certain that at times, often for several games in a row, the system is more "lucky" than statistically normal.

On lower levels this was a pretty decent app. However it's clear on levels 4 and 5, there is skewing for the bot. I initially thought this would be a good app to improve my skills...but no matter how good skills are, the bot almost always goes first and when I'm taken out, rarely get back on the board within a roll.

Best programmed app I've played but still frustrating & uninstalled. Some notable "glitches" "quirks" I've been keeping track & Opponent normal goes first. Opponent gets higher rolls over all. If no pieces are taken and it's just a straight who can get their pieces off first the opponent normally wins. If you use the doubling cube first game of a match it usually doesn't double score. Opponent normally always gets rolls to tag pieces and get back in.

This has been a good version, easy to use, and occasionally challenging. It doesn't always keep score correctly. For instance you can win a game worth the cube at 2 or more, but the Gabe will be scored as 1. Lately, ad banners are covering part of the board, making the game unplayable. Uninstalled it and will look for a different game. I understand that the ads pay for my ability to play. But when you allow ads to be so invasive that they interfere with play, you won't get any revenue ....

The ads have changed and now cover up the game board and it is now a horrid game. It was so perfect before and fantastic. Please go back and change the ads so they don't cover the board. I am a disabled, senior and bed bound. And I depend upon a game like this. But you have ruined it. I can't play it anymore.

Played three games and rolled double sixes while on the bar four times. (No exaggeration) The odds of that is about 1 in 374,000, if I calculated that correctly. I've played probably thirty games and honestly can't remember ever going first against the ai. Just played another game, double sixes twice in a row while on the bar with 6 pount blocked. (1 in 4900). These dice are NOT random. Same issue still. Five or six games played. As soon as I get on the bar, double sixes. Has happened again tw

It's a fun depiction of Backgammon, but the banner ads hang into the game play area. There's no option to pay to remove ads, so this recent change seriously interferes with playing the game as it cuts into the top side of the board, killing the enjoyment of the game. It also runs ads after every single game, which is also annoying. I hope the devs change this soon!

Seems like the rolling is very rigged towards the computer. If you leave anything open, the computer will likely put you on the bar 85% of the time. Rolls are too predictable for the computer. If you're asked to double against skill 5 especially, you can guarantee you will not stand a chance if accepted. I'm deleting this app for similar issues as others have reported. Too many ads. Game never stops. The computer seems to roll an improbable amount of "perfect" rolls.

Your numbers generator is a cheating SOB, especially after you double! You could be so far ahead of the computer, and once you double, it rolls as many doubles as it has to, to win! Not only that, if it is put on the bar, it rolls whatever it needs to get off in less than 2 rolls in 99% of the instances! If you get put on the bar, many times it disallows you the opportunity to get off, many times in 6-8 rolls!

It's backgammon. First, when you beat the AI once, it does NOT happen again. When you're on the verge of gaining an edge, you start rolling back-to-back pairs, which becomes four of a kind; but anything in backgammon larger than an 8 (2×4 dice as DOUBLES) is a very limited move—strategically speaking, anyway. In summary, the game is good and the theme is classic, but there's WAY too many ads to focus, and, for anyone who cares, you CAN'T 'remove' them even if you DO want to. A solid 3/5 game.

I like the uncluttered look and ability to select skill level for the app opponent-- It helps build my skills and strategy. BUT select skill level 3 for the opponent, the skill doesn't increase, the dice tools get biased; eg., when I get kicked, my next 5 or 6 turns are lost because my rolls are dbl 5 or ANYTHING but what I need to get back on board. When my opponent gets kicked, their next roll is not only EXACTLY what they need to get on, but also to kick me off in the same turn. Uninstalling

Game is ok. My issues are the odds of winning the initial roll. I've noticed that I only win that roll about 5% of the time. The increased difficulty isn't the skill of the cpu, it's the "weighted" dice for the cpu. On the higher difficulties the rolls lean in favor of the cpu drastically.. its blatantly obvious that the dice are most often manipulated in favor of the cpu. Game gets boring quick and you'll start to notice after a handful of games. It's an ok game to learn on but that's about it

This POS Developer is too lazy and stupid to properly implement a fair play stategy for their app so they resort to all too obvious programmed cheating. You will ALWAYS roll doubles on the covered spots when your piece is taken, or on the last roll when it no longer matters, or when it ruins your perfect setup. Your odds of getting into a free space are 1 in 7. Your opponent's odds are 12 in 13. Also they're not bright enough to implement a SDK properly so their ads cover 1/3 of the board.

The app now constantly freezes. On top of that the dice rolls definitely are not random. I got the same numbers 4 times in a row and so did opponent. If you get off it takes five or six turns to get back on. Opponent gets what they need first try and can knock you off in that same turn. This app favors opponent to the point of no chance of winning. NOT A GOOD APP AT ALL. NOT WORTH THE INSTALL

Nice, but sometimes makes mistakes in moving two dice. For example, with a 4-6 throw, playing automatic 10, it will play 6, then 4, while playing 4 and then 6 might beat off the opponents stone; in both cases my stone ends up 10 points away, but former way not bearing off a stone and the latter doing that. The simplest solutions then would be to force moves by individual die values or asking the player on which order to play the dice values.

It's really a great game once you get the settings right, better than any here. The dice rolling algorithm doesn't cheat like all of the others, unless you mess with the "levels", then it biases toward the opponent. My only complaint is that at game's end, it pops up a modal window (can't be bypassed) saying "New Game". You can't even exit the damned thing without killing it. Not a deal breaker, but annoying (and a violation of Google's app standards).

It's a good backgammon game, but there are glitches. The doubling cube often doesn't score correctly. The opponent goes first 90% of the time. When you pass opponent when they are behind, they will roll high doubles to catch up. This happens every time. When you increase the skill, the opponent gets miracle rolls while you'll never get the exact roll you need. I still play way too much, but there are some frustrating issues. The banner ad on top of game play seems to be addressed.

I've tried over 20 different backgammon games over the years and so far this is the only one that I believe has honest random dice rolls. All the others obviously cheat by choosing the dice rolls. I only wish this one had a paid version as the board could then fill the screen to make play easier. Also the ads are longer, noiser and more pushy than with most apps. Please make a paid version!

Totally confused. I'm new to playing backgammon and the game provided a tutorial but didn't really explain the rules. I read more online about the rules but several times the same just says "you lost, the opponent won the game" but I have no idea why. There seem to be many ways to win the game other than bearing off all your checkers. It would be helpful if the game provided even a brief explanation of why the opponent won when we both had possible moves left.
