Having tried other backgammon games on here, the best I can say is that this version is the best of a bad bunch. There is zero chance that the dice are completely random but there as fixed for you as they are for your competitors so that's something. I don't like the 30 second timer though as there's another minute added afterwards so that's pointless. Be nice to add a good game feature when someone truly kicks your butt.

Overall good addictive game. However there are many bugs which are annoying: connection to internet brakes (although my internet is stable), weird behaviours with coins counting (sometimes no debit when losing and, indeed more frustrating, no credit when winning) and once few pieces color swapped with the opponent. As enhancement I would suggest to remove the necessity to role dices when player is blocked and cannot enter.

Good game but eventually I Uninstalled. Reason? I think there are algorithms that decide your win or loss and that's boring. Some phenomenal dice. It doesn't matter if your game is structured perfectly to win, your opponent will get perfect rolls and multiple doubles to win the unwinnable game. Other than that the platform design is the best. But as a professional BG player in real life. I can't play my game and that is a waste of time

You never win the first game. The "opponent" always seems to get doubles, land exactly on your pip and then in bearing off they get high numbers while you are forced to get 3/1's. Bad bad AI!

One problem I have with the game is when I get to 400,000 I have to play at a higher table because I have to many points or to much experience to play that table yet when I'm under that amount I play people with way more experience and points (like 1,000,000) why do they get special treatment and can play on that board and this is the games I always loose

I have played well over 500 games on this app and overall still enjoy. That being said, opposing player gets to start 75% of the time and even more if the first roll is a double. Almost 90% of the time when we get in to a race where we are both about even or even when I am ahead, opponent will get large rolls and many doubles where I will get many small rolls and eventually lose. I can guarantee that this is a pattern when specific playing conditions are met. Would win more often if truly fair.

After watching videos to completion so I could collect coins needed to play with, the app would crash. After restarting the app I would see that I was NOT rewarded the coins and would have to wait up to 3-4 hours before getting enough coins to play 1 game. Mind you, I have the latest Samsung phone and software updates are all current, as well as the game updates. When I emailed the app company, their response was to blame me by saying my phone and software was out of date. It wasn't.

This app was annoying and forces one to play an opponent without giving any option. If you wish to learn the game, this is not the app for you. That said, what I observed of the game/app was visually attractive and clearly it was well (if perhaps overly so...) designed and engineered.

The one and only backgammon game on Play Store with a fair dice, period! I've tried all and they are all rigged, belive me. Yet, there are still a few bugs: When you can play all two dices, you have to, but in this game you play the convenient one and get away with the other if it's blocked. Please fix this and I can revise my rating. Also it would be a nice to rematch and have some conversation with the opponent other than the meaningless emoticons.

***Update*** I recently experienced a bug that caused me to lose 14k coins, when the other player let the clock run out. I emailed the developers to let them know, and what I got back was full of denial and deflections. They tried to blame my internet service, which I have not had any issues with recently. Despite English being a second language, customer support was very rude and obviously uninterested in looking into this bug. Level 14, uninstalling today.

I have been locked out of this app as of tonight. The reason given is miss use. Not sure what that is about, curious but I'm not giving them more access to my device. I was playing the game a few months ago, and someone somehow, took all the turns so you couldn't move. Also, I didn't play for a month or so and I lost the level I was playing at and had to start over. I play a clean game and I don't cheat. App Uninstalled due to developers response to my one and only review of their app.

This used to be fun but they (1) removed the time out when searching for a new opponent, so you have no idea when someone will join. If you quit before connecting you lose your points. (2) if you need points, you have to invite someone to get them. What a royal pain. However the game is good despite these recent "upgrades"

Better than others I've tried, so far anyway. Features and graphics are basic. The pace of play is actually good, the extended time for completing a turn is a nice feature but a bit too much extra time is allowed imho. One really nice thing about this app is that it doesn't freeze up or glitch out much. The emoji format is too basic, have to not only open the emoji screen it, but close it as well during play. Some other improvements needed. Can't view other players stats, can't personalize logo, the coin values jump way too much from level to level. No tournament play. I'm sure the developers will make additional improvements with time.

Regardless of whatever they spout about being totally random, it is not. 17 out of the last 18 games opponent starts. I can't count how many times opponent gets doubles or multiple doubles in a row. Or the exact roll they need. One game I was ahead by 7 until opponent rolled 4 doubles in a row. It's laughable. Game is a joke.

It was a great game until recently. It takes forever to find an opponent. Search needs to be limited to 30 seconds so if no opponent is found, you can try a different room or channel . The search goes non stop and you can not exit the search unless you leave the game completely. Perhaps lot of players are no longer playing here and computer can not find you an opponent. At times while in the middle of the game,You loose your turn and opponent rolls again. Developer is very RUDE to complainers.

Nice lay out but 9 out of 10 games opponent goes first. Also had issues with opponent rolling multiple doubles at higher levels, 3 or 4 in a row or the perfect roll 3 or 4 times in a row. Not a fake review, I have played over 300 games. Greater weight is given to a person with more points. Fact. Either there are some cheats out there or the game is fixed. That said is is better than others. I just want a fair game. Is that so much to ask?

Just installed game. Played only 2 games. 2nd game wouldn't let me bear off. Had a 6 and a 2. Could only move one dice, not both. Could only undo the one move. Couldn't complete my turn. Timer ran out and I lost. Don't like that you can't have a screen name. If it didn't have bugs I would rate it a 3. Update. I gave it one last try. 3rd game. Got double 3's. Could only move two 3's. Then no option to finish turn. Had to choice but to resign. Rating of this game is deffinately a zero!

I like this game when it works correctly. The developer is going to say it's my phone or internet causing the problems, but it isn't. Just now, in a close game, my opponent made their move, but their timer continued until it ran out. I was given the loss, though I never was given an opportunity to take my turn. On an initial roll, to see who goes first, the "random" roll was double 2's for 23 rolls, when I finally closed out - and, took the loss. There are other odd glitches, so be aware.

The dice rolls seem to be more legitimate than other apps I have played. One complaint is the responsiveness of the controls. Update:. Now that I've played this many, many times there is a distinct pattern to the rolls. The pattern allows for the player in a bad spot to wiggle out of it only to have the opponent get the perfect roll they need to counter your good fortune. Happens over and over, so it cannot be a coincidence. That said, it's still better than most.

Good BG game...couple issues. Using Google Pixel 8 Pro. After a match, there's no way to exit except for to start a new opponent and quickly hit the red X before it disappears. Secondly, was stuck when I doubled at the same time the opponent resigned. The double screen stays and had to force close. A third thing, but not anl breaking issue, is that the option to offer a rematch doesn't exist. Always a new opponent.
