Absolutely TERRIBLE update! Not ready for primetime. Developers should be fired for releasing an updatr that is broken in so many ways. No login, can only search one body color at a time, can't search for keywords, UI now takes multiple clicks for actions that were one click previously, removes currently selected brand from selection list, when selecting a model or brand it makes you scroll all the way back again rather than keeping you in place, and tons if other annoyances. Very disappointed.

Downloaded the app since I am in the market for a car. It worked fine the first few times I used it but now it is basically crashing. I will be able to do a search for my desired car, but after viewing 1 vehicle- I get a "service not available" error after trying to view another vehicle. I also used to be able to search by trim (le, se, platinum, etc) but it seems like that functionality was removed.

Great at finding vehicles. Not so great at functioning. Can't save anything. Which sort of defeats the purpose of using the app unless I make contact with the seller immediately after seeing the listing. I don't want to contact every single seller, I want to browse and choose the top candidates to contact but I cannot do that because I can't save any vehicles.

Actually a very good app except for a major annoyance. You should not be permitted to list a car without specifying the mileage. While I'm sure everyone understands that "Unlisted Mileage" = "very high mileage" there should be at minimum a way to filter those listings out. I just did a search with over 500 results and every single one was unlisted mileage. Waste of time.

Used to be pretty great, although last version crashed every time you adjusted your search. New version is terrible. Not user friendly at all. No keyword entry available anymore. Can't select transmission style (most of the time), sometimes you can, other times the menu item disappears altogether. So sad. Used to love using auto trader app. Now it's a disappointing headache.

Issues for years. I hate that Autotrader is the most used classified service for vehicles as its a much worse app than many others. It has so many glitches. Saved searches don't display results based on the filters, too many filters won't run more than once, it doesn't properly sort even if you choose the same sorting option multiple times, keyword searches are hit and miss. Worse is I have had issues like this with this app for many years, but like I said, it's the most used so your kinda stuck

This app could be one of the best vehicle search apps available. It has the potential to be a very useful resource for anyone shopping for a vehicle, especially when the buyer knows exactly what they want. But when it continuously restarts the search process EVERY time I try to enter my search parameters the app becomes nothing more than a source of frustration. It's sad that the issues were reported as far back as August but no one had repaired the app yet.

Update: this app has gone from bad to terrible. How do you remove filtering on transmission type??? App constantly crashes. Usability of filters is severely lacking. When you filter out vehicles without photos, it still shows vehicles without photos. No way to flag listings with incorrect data, mainly the thousands of cars listed with manual transmission that are not manual.

Agree with other posts. Online website is fine but the app is pretty much useless unless you want to spend hours selecting and reselecting filters which take forever to load. Huge lag regardless of whether you are using Wi-Fi or 4G. No way to see your saved searches from your account that you have set up on website. So if you have a few minutes and want to browse using the app on your phone and see if there's any new hits for your searches, you are out of luck. Horrible app.

I love autotrader, but this app just crashed within 30 seconds every time I attempted to use it. I've had good luck in the past and hope they'll fix it again soon. Even the few times it didn't crash, it performed poorly - very non-responsive to filter options and when I changed the ordering to lowest price it closest distance, it still had a fairly random ordering.

I have used Autotrader for years, both to buy and sell vehicles. This latest update... Makes the experience horrible! Quick note to Autotrader- This is how you lose people forever! There's a lot of competition out there, and if this isn't fixed soon, I'll just figure out what other thing works reasonably well for me. And once I figure that out, why ever come back.?

Over the years this app has gone from fairly slow and clunky to practically unusable. Especially since the introduction of the new ux, every update seems to somehow downgrade and worsen the experience even more, to the point where the app is pretty much useless in its current state. While even the web version is far from the best online tool for searching for used cars, (also clunky and slow) it's worlds better then what the app has become over time.

Limited ability to narrow searches, very hard to get results. Example; no way to eliminate wreck/salvage vehicles. Any other app can eliminate vehicles without clear titles. Also very annoying is lack of accuracy for filters they do have. They don't always filter anything, showing vehicles with features that you didn't want just because they pay a premium listing fee. Was my premier car shopping choice now craigslist offers a better user experience. Just plain sad.

Not User Friendly. The "old" Autotrader App was easier to use. I hoped I would get used to the new app, but, no. In no particular order: - No Key Word option - it doesn't work using the "Search" bar. - No option for selecting Price and Picture listings. If there's no picture or price, why bother looking at the listing. - Limited number of Saved Vehicles. - When looking at Saved Vehicles, can only see one Saved Vehicle. Surely I can save more than one. (Using Motorola Z4, fully updated)

QA your product! Every time I open it I get an error message "well that's embarrassing... we've stalled out." Legitimately EVERY TIME. When it does randomly give access I create a search and save it... but it does not save! The icing on the cake, trying to look at any car from my searches forces the app to crash completely. The error says "The app crashed. Open App Again or Send Feedback." I have done both, but the open again opens up to a black screen and you must kill the app to continue. 0⭐

App has been remodeled to be more cumbersome and less useful. Now categories like; make, model, series, etc., have to be opened and then opened further, because they only put the "popular choices" on the first menu. Keyword in the filter section is now gone. I've now gone to using the Vroom app for 90% of my research needs. This app is only good for being able to see what is/was available at dealerships. Overall app is inconvenient and terrible to navigate.

The previous version was my go-to car browsing app, I loved using it. It was fast, clean, and always worked as expected. The current version is unusable. Way too slow and clunky. If the developers are paying attention, they'll change it back. Until then, I'd suggest using CarGurus or Edmunds...or literally anything else.

Very happy with the app, I love that I can simple go on, type in anything and everything I want to look at and boom, it's there. Everything from interior color to what size engine and to where it's located at. I would like to recommend that when doing the filtering by lowest to highest or from distance, I know you get paid to advertise the car deals but try and put a solid separation between the ads sales and the actual cars. And could you add in a filter for both lowest and closest car?

Un-installed! Notification says I have 5 Lexus. Opening the notification shows the 5 Lexus for about 2 seconds, then the list of 5 are quickly replaced by all sorts of non Lexus cars. Browse one of the listings, existing miles on the car is not prominently dispalyed. You have to dig around to find existing miles!? As many others have mentioned, many problems with the filters.

The app seems to be broken in some way, or multiple ways. The 'make' and 'model' drop downs that are front and center when the app is opened stay greyed out (unless freshly reinstalled), numerous boxes have a red error message asking to please retry because an error occurred. The listings, when you can load them, are great! This has been a reliable tool for years! Not sure what is happening, these issues are all fairly recent, and I'm happy to keep using it myself, but it does need to be fixed.
