I love this app. Super easy to navigate, search, create a wishlist and find your books. I love the selection. I actually listen to 3 books concurrently ( I the person that read several books at time); a memoir,a self help and fiction novel. It super easy to move back forth and it automatically bookmark my page. Overall a very good audiobooks app...I highly recommend it.

klunky app. aggressive notifications that can't be disabled. it has the book organized by sections not chapters, so you never know where you are. i tend to be listening to books i am also reading, depending on whether i have time to read or not. Audible makes that pretty easy, but with Audiobook it's much more of a pain. also it doesn't pause immediately when you pause it, it always goes a few words further. AND there's no way to cancel your membership from the app. major fail.

I used to use this app a TON. My favorite feature of this app was the unlimited listening audiobook clubs. Due to financial reasons, I had to cancel for a while. I just came back to the app and it appears they've taken the bookclubs away, (or I just can't find them), which is one of the main reasons I stuck with this app. Without the book clubs, I think I'll be finding something else to go to. Never had issues with playback, though organization would be a nice feature as well.

Tracks are not broken up into chapters, and they aren't titled, which makes it EXTREMELY difficult to navigate a book. Also, the 30-second refresh button will actually fast forward. As it is, I have difficulties following along with print and need to re-read and listen to parts of a text that these functions make it MORE difficult. I have spent more time tapping and trying to find my spot in correspondence with my Kendle than actually listening to my book. I hate this app so much.

This app works well for listening to audiobooks. My suggestions to take it from 4 stars to 5 starts are below (note: this is based on my experience with 'Oathbringer' - When pausing and restarting, the audio should go back. The longer the pause, the farther back the audio should go, to some configured maximum. This makes sense. If I last listened to the book 1 week ago, I will likely need more context on what is going on in the book then if I paused the book 1 minute ago. - more fine grained s

Functional but not optimal. This was the only provider for the audiobook I wanted. Unfortunately, the app does not title the tracks or even have chapter numbers, making it nearly impossible to navigate the book, which is informational, organized by topic. Also, the 30 second rewind button has an unfortunate glitch where it sometimes randomly goes forward or backward two minutes.

Free Trial I like the model and the selection is great. I've been able to find everything I want. I am not a fan of how they don't show you the difference between free and paid until you try to acquire the book. Sometimes titles are listed as free and sometimes they are listed by genre when viewing search results. Cost should either be always visible or a filter option so you don't need to open every audiobook when looking for something free.

Good selection of audiobooks, both free and for a charge. The app is easy to navigate and works well. No complaints about sound quality or ease of use. My one complaint is about how it works with Android Auto. When using through Android Auto, it says I only have 2 audiobooks available, and they won't be the ones I want or am currently listening to. That's a huge shortcoming, since listening in the car is by far the most common time to want to use the app.

App is not worth it. I paid for 3 audiobooks and they play horribly on the app. It sounds like they were recorded from an ancient cassette, skipping around the entire time. The website doesn't have this problem, thankfully, so I'll listen there. I sent an email to support about the skipping around, thinking that it was bad quality recording. Nope. It's the app.

I went from audible to audiobooks, and it's the exact same thing when it comes to who's reading a book which I'm thrilled about, but it's still pricey, I ended up canceling my subscription after one book because it's a bit much for my wallet I'm not going back to audible though, because they are really ridiculous. Talk about pricey 🙄 overall it was an okay if I had to choose between the two I'd go back to this one.

There is no close/stop function. This is a deal breaker when traveling with intermittent connectivity. The app lags, stutters, refuses to acknowledge the only option you have (pause), starts again apparently on a whim. I'm focused on driving, not repeatedly pressing a nonfunctional pause button on my vehicles display. Add a stop button.

I wanted to recommend this app for people to listen to my audiobook. I thought it would be better than Audible, and I'd rather give business to a smaller company. Audible plays it correctly, so the files are fine. On this app, when I skip forward by chapter, each chapter is starting in the middle of a sentence. I told them this, and they insist that it's the publishers fault and it's out of their hands. Then why does it work on audible?? Useless app, terrible customer service! You've lost me!

Glad to find my desired books available. Frustrated with the audio player's functions. Specifically, the 30s backwards function does not always work correctly. Either it goes back to some invisible setpoint, or doesn't go back at all, or even advances forward, or goes back too far!!!

I have enjoyed using this app for the most part. I do have a few issues. The organization of series is messy and it can be hard to find all related books, for example the Hell Divers series, the first 7 books are in "The Hell Divers Series" but after that they are in "Hell Divers Series" so when you click to view the whole series from book 1 it looks like the rest are not there. Next is having to delete the app to undownload books. Also the library should show as a whole without the scrolling.

Looking for a great alternative to audible? This is the winner. I WISH that they would bring back podcasts, but the selection of books, bookclubs, and 2 for 1s is unbelievably wonderful. The customer support is not always perfect but they are quick, so have patience if there is an issue, and it will get resolved. I cannot recommend this app enough.

The selection of books is decent. The skip forward/backward button does not work. The books are also organized by tracks instead of chapters like Audible. I canceled my membership and immediately lost access to the VIP books I received. I can understand losing access at the end of billing cycle. But, if I already paid for a month of membership benefits, I should at least have access to them for the full month. All in all, same price as Audible for way less selection, functionality, and value.

Great stuff. Glad I found this app. UPDATE 05/2024: To this day, I find the app to be extremely clunky. It's frustrating to use. There's no playlist management, whatsoever. The 'active listens' vs 'my library' is a waste of space, and not very functional. Worst off, if you find yourself on the main 'home page', which doesn't have any clear indicators or customization, and you press the back arrow, it will boot you from the app and bring you to your phone screen. Why? OVERHAUL the app PLEASE!
