What a load of garbage. My dad turned my internet off for a short time, and ever since the app has been acting up and my entire family is having their internet shut off at random times without anyone even accessing the parent app. It's a smart concept, but it should be shut down until all the bugs are worked out.

It keeps apps blocked that are not blocked and blocks the internet. It never shows the right location either, and when we fix it and restart the phones it goes back to the old restricted settings. I would not recommend!

As a mother myself, this app has been nothing but a burden and invasive to my entire families privacy. This app has drastically changed my phone for the worse. Its lessened battery life, its interfered with my charging, and its slowed down my phone entirely. This app has made it to were apps or sites that are completely appropriate and child safe have been blocked and deemed "inappropriate". It's a waste of my money and I would not recomend it to the other mommas out there!

Nice spyware, bloatware, and adware. This is one fantastic app if you want some sort of malware, location doesn't work. When the "vpn" works, it slows down whatever device it's on and will not let you disable it.

App is all but useless. All my child has to do to disable it is restart his phone and he gets logged out of the app and we have to go through the whole song and dance with QR code to add him back. It's extremely unreliable and slows down all phone operations when running.

Not intuitive at all. Settings can easily be disabled by teens and update completely changed the feel and functionality. App needs to be installed once on teens phone with all settings required for GPS tracking enabled.

I'll admit up front that I'm a teen (18), however: The app worked great for a while, mom really only uses it to track me when I'm on the road. But it's suddenly blocked apps and websites without mom doing anything and has marked many harmless ones as malware (YouTube, Google, Disney Blitz, Ao3, Tumblr, and Reddit as examples.) But I guess I'll suffer while your app can't tell the difference.

Worse app ever literally made me cry, it wouldn't let me on some games and apps, and it just kept loading and taking all the joy out of my day and life. It shouldn't even exist if there was a -1000 stars that is what I would give it. If you gave it more than 1 star, we have beef, and you're a liar. If you are reading this and wondering if you should get the app you seriously should not, you still have time to turn back now. It doesn't deserve even 1 star and it also deserves this comment.

I would give it 0 if I could. generally annoying. spams notifications about how this device is supervised by at&t securefamily and send the notification every 5 minutes. only reason it's not insufferable is you can block notifications

Terrible experience with this app. It doesn't show an accurate location half of the time. This new updated app is awful. The original was better. ATT did an awful job with this app. Don't waste your money. You can't even use this app for all the cell phones on your account, only new cell phones. 🙄

I have the parent app for my phone and it works fine. You have to have the companion app for anyone who is not an admin, AKA your child. I have downloaded this app on two different devices for my kid and it will connect to the parent app. If you try to check in, or do an SOS message, it will just exit you off of the app. Now every time I click on the app it says not working. Very disappointing.

Oh my god. To all parents... do not install. Trust me... it will only make life harder for both you and your child. For the child, the vpn will constantly disconnect from the wifi. For the parent: The app will randomly turn off, meaning you can't limit their screen time or see where they are. It's a waste. Also you can't uninstall after yiu are done with it. It's permanently on the device, eating away at your battery, even after you cancel your subscription, since you can't uninstall it.

I tried deleting the app, but it said it was unsuccessful. You can deactivate it but only with a code from the parent app. I haven't really noticed any other problems other than my wifi slowing down when I am connected. But when I'm disconnected, my wifi is perfect. My mother wanted me to download this, I wish she would have looked at the reviews before hand. Hate this app.

Okay, yes, I am 13. That does NOT mean, though, that you should take this review any less seriously. My mom installed this app on my phone a while ago to control my screen time and block a ton of apps. I F-ing hate it. Every single day, I have to plan out how much of my precious screen time goes out to which apps, which is SUPER annoying. When she tries to give screen time, it doesn't even work half the time. Worst of all it blocks apps that don't need to be blocked!!! Would not recommend!!!!!!

Enter interfering with other applications on my phone & my Mom's phone. Not allowing my bluetooth to connect to other devices. Not allowing internet access when we had internet. Constantly updating location in the background & running our batteries down very quickly. Just a pain in the butt & waste of $7.99 a month.

Nobody in my family downloaded this app, when asking them, they don't even know what this is. It just appeared one day, with no warning. I can't even get it off of my phone, and every time I try, it shuts off my phone, and closes all of the apps that were open. Now, all that I have is a notification on the top of my screen telling me that my phone is connected to the VPN, a notification I cannot remove.

This app is just horrible, my mom got this app because id be up all night on my phone all night. but when she turns the internet off and back on for just a few seconds i have to restart my phone 5 times to finally get it back. and for instance snapchat all the messages i got while it was off would be gone and you wouldnt know what they said. its honestly just a piece of junk. This app also ruins my phone and makes everything like games and tiktok or texting 100x slower than what it would be.

For both the parent and child's sake, don't use this app. I'm in high school and my parents got me this to use because my phone distracted me too much in middle school. The VPN system causes Internet to disconnect for a few seconds constantly, causing trouble even when off time isn't active. Recently, I cant even open the app and it hasn't been working when my mom tried to add a temporary off time. Worst possible parental controls.

I have the companion app installed on a Samsung Galaxy 3. But when I run the app I can't press the button on the lower screen to continue because the button sits just off the bottom of the screen where I can't touch it... and two other links on the screen look to be out of place and crumpled up above that button i'm trying to press...I have these AT&T Secure Family apps on other phones and they work ok...can we get this fixed really quick? Thanks :)

less than one star. It's constantly showing a notification of "updating" in my notification bar that cannot be removed. it always says the other phones paired aren't currently showing their location so it doesn't even serve it's purpose. Also, once you've paired your phone there is no way to get the app off of your device. the Play Store will not allow me to deactivate the app. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NOT INSTALLING THIS APP
