This new update sucks...VPN doesn't work. I have to disconnect in order to listen to music stations, use navigation and everything that has to do with the internet. Just kicks me out of everything. I can't disable it either. I know it's designed to keep you safe but this is ridiculous. Not safe at all, if you use it for navigation and have to disconnect it every few minutes just to get from one place to another. NOT SAFE!!!! Please fix!!! Or let me disable it!!!!

Terrible change from Call Protect. Every single time I open the app, I get an error message saying "oops something went wrong. We hit a snag". Hit OK and still takes me to the page I need to get to. There's no way to approve or unblock a number you need to. At least, the option is nowhere in there. Just awful. Call Protect was working perfectly fine. Horrible move for ATT to switch over to this awful app.

Very frustrating app. Spent an hour trying to figure out why all connections weren't working (other than text messages and calls). Tried connecting to wifi without success, turning off wifi, using a different wifi network, all unsuccessful. I has to turn off the VPN to get be able to surf the web or access my apps. Canceling subscription and going elsewhere.

The call blocking feature seems to work well. I really have no issues with most of it. However, I have an issue with the VPN. First off, if you turn it off in the app itself, it doesn't actually turn it off. You actually need to do it in the phones VPN settings. No big deal, a bit inconvenient, and would knock it down to 4 stars. But this is why it's 2 stars.... the VPN turns back on.... on its own. If you have an app that requires it to be off, forget having it work correctly. Had to delete app

Downloaded this app for my Galaxy S24 Ultra. It does block spam callers. The issue that I have is that I keep receiving messages that my contacts have been updated. This appears several times a day. My mom tried to call me 5 times, and it says that the number has been forwarded too many times. I checked my phone settings, and the forward option is turned off. I tried looking at the app settings to check if it has a forward option, but I am unable to find this option. If continuing,I will delete.

I found this app difficult to navigate. For example, while trying to set my preferences, the app insisted I allow permission all the time to continue. When I had allowed full permission, it continued to go back to the previous request no matter what I entered. I'll see if this is a bug. If not, I wouldn't bother to keep it installed.

This app is free with the AT&T Elite plan, which I have on all 4 phones. Started out working great, but after recent updates, it became a piece of garbage. You can no longer review any of the call lists. Adding a number to the list, don't bother. They just disappear. Vpn started disconnecting and forced me every time to go in and toggle it on an off. The only thing in the app that seemed to be working fine was the call blocker. AT&T needs to quit hiring morons to work on their apps.

Completely useless. It blocked random calls at random times. Sometimes calls would ring but most times calls went straight to voice mail. This app came pre installed on my phone...so not only did I miss calls, it took forever to figure out what was causing it. I had no idea what ActiveArmor was & what it was doing on or to my phone. Stay Away!! Waste of Time!!

I keep getting this annoying message when I try to block a number: "We couldn't complete your request, let's try again." I will give it more stars when that annoying message goes away. I prefer the older version. I increased it to 3 stars because I have seen some improvements. Now, orn the Identity Monitoring, I have 2 alerts regarding my email0, but I could never see the alerts because it won't stop downloading. Aggravating!

can't open the app. I've updated it, uninstalled/re-installed, forced stop, added permissions, cleared cashe, restarted phone, and it still gives me an error message when trying to open it. my husband can open it on his phone. ??? what is going on? I've sent all logs, so hopefully at&t can send out a fix. otherwise, this app is useless and I'll just use a 3rd party app instead.

I edited this review because so much improvement has happened since I last reviewed. Everything works now. The blocking has gotten so much better, as has the ability to report spam and fraud calls and texts. I can now see the calls that are unwanted in the app and decide if the app was wrong or correct and have the numbers allowed or blocked. I am receiving tons of spam and fraud calls...but I am only seeing a tiny fraction coming through to ring or text. Finally! Thanks AT&T for listening!

This app is terrible. It will show that it blocked a spam call, but the call comes through anyway. Also, every time my phone does an update, it clears every blocked call out of the registry, and I have to start all over. And now, whenever I get a spam call, it will not allow me to add it to the blocked list. The one good thing it does is show me if it is a spam, telemarketer, or political call.

This app came with my device, and with no notification or setup, it began blocking calls from people I needed calls from for at least 2 years. AT&T couldn't even figure out that their own app was causing the problem. No one online could figure out the answer either. After going through the stupid setup of this app, I can finally receive my calls. Don't foce an app on users that blocks calls without even telling them. I mean come on.

Keeps turning off email text blocking. I manually keep turning it on but exit app and return its off again. Update: App keeps freezing and acting up (02/27/24). (Old) app working better but not enough for me to change the star rating. 1 star doesn't work frequently far from being reliable. App shows that a phone number is considered a severe threat with x amount of reports but unable to view the report. Requires to run in the background and causes phone battery to drain severly.

WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. I purchased the Advanced Plan, but my app never upgraded. Then I cancelled the upgrade assuming I'd be able to re-purchase the upgrade. Now I can't even purchase the upgrade. I get an error that states - Developer has not acknowledged your purchase - telling me I can't upgrade until they do so. Waste of money!! Doesn't work!!

Unlike AVG, AT&T Active Armor gives me much more in this basic free plan than what any other anti-virus app ever did including spam call & text blocking (which helps thwart the spam calls & texts from telemarketers). The features I'd like to have on the free Active Armor plan that AVG offered are integrated basic cashe & RAM cleaning features, and basic web scan & clean features. I think the app install scan & notification need to be improved (where the notification can be cleared easily).

05-05-24 - Calls still being sent straight to voicemail. Spent two hours on the phone with tech support, and still no resolution. The app won't allow upload of contacts to the cloud, even though all permissions are granted. It just keeps giving an error code no matter how many times I try. Terrible app!!! I've lost so many important client calls. 04-14-24 - Calls are being sent straight to voicemail, even though the numbers are not blocked and have been in my contacts for years.

Security assurance without having to do anything. It can be a little overly concerned about how secure the free wifi is at the grocery store and critical of their security certificate if it isn't through AT&T, but they leave the decision up to you if you want to trust them or not. Sometimes it can interfere with connection, but once you tell it to allow connection, it is not a constant issue.

Trash. This app has never worked properly since launch. Two phones, same problems. The call log never shows a history. Intermittent when it actually works for blocking. Update to ATT response... Yes. I set up the app's call features. I'm not sure why the immediate response is 'you didn't set anything up'. How about scan through the litany of complaints that have the same issue and determine it's the app that is the issue.

I do not like the requirement of opening an app just to block a call. AT&T had the perfect "app" before. All that was required was pressing "block" and the caller was blocked; all of two seconds. Now it's like opening a separate app. I do wish AT&T would go back to the original blocker or make ActiveArmor as easy to use. Thank you Brady B
