Great app with good potential! I would have given it 5 stars, but the words for signs are often unfinished which makes it difficult for correctly guessing signs and I would have loved a placement test at the beginning because I'm already pretty advanced in learning and I'm having to slowly go through basic signs. There are no ads though and I thoroughly love the concept it just needs a few tweaks.

The app was good for those who know some ASL, but I'm still a beginner and I had high hopes for this app. Thankfully, the app had no ads. However, whenever I finished about 2-3 lessons in one chapter, it would ask for a subscription before I could finish the chapter. Sometimes they would throw in words I haven't learned yet in a 'what's this word' question. Sometimes the lessons were confusing, and other times difficult. I would recommend if you already learned basic ASL but not for beginners.

Hate that I love it. It's the app I've been looking for. It feels like Duolingo for ASL. It's very well designed. I'm devastated that so little is free and that premium is SO expensive. If I could pay a one time fee, even if it was quite expensive I'd splurge, but I cannot do another subscription (let alone one that's more expensive than a Hulu+ subscription).

The only things free to learn are the alphabet and greetings. Usually, I could understand this. However, what bothered me was not having an option to divide payments up monthly. In today's economy, more of us than not can't afford a big purchase all at once. If you find a way to divide up content with payments or charge a cancellation fee disclosed in the initial contract of monthly payments, maybe more people could afford to use your app. Good app otherwise.

a lot of it is premium and I have not bought that so I can't rate the whole AP, but the free parts are really cool! very similar methods to Duolingo in app interface, but much more useful words and logical learning order. only issue I'm having is that on the "is this the word that was signed" questions, half of "yes" and "no" are cut off, but you can still see the thumbs up/down button so it's fine. just might need that info if you end up with the same issue :)

Clean interface, easy to use, and super cute! Premium membership unlocks additional 20 modules beyond the base 21 (the difference between a module, topic, and lesson is unclear). This is a much friendlier approach than some other apps, which gatekeep early content behind a paywall. There are ads, but there mostly unobtrusive. 1 year subscription is about 100 USD. I like the dictionary search option, though it does have some places it breaks (searching "red" and "blue" yields nothing).

I'm a beginner with a bit of prior knowledge. I've been using this app for about a week and while I think it's great, there's a lot of room to improve. The signs are really hard to see for me, they just go so fast! You can slow down the videos, but the hand movements are blurred because of the speed so it's still not too helpful. I also wish they explained the signs more in depth and maybe included a few more variations, because they only teach signs one way. However, no ads so far!! :)

The app is very helpful, but there are a few complaints. I wish the signs were more consistent between the different instructors. I know it the real world, many might sign the same thing a little differently, but it's frustrating while learning. They also sign things in sentences that they have not taught yet, which can also be pretty confusing at times. Overall I still very much enjoy the app and find it useful and helpful

ASL Bloom review: it's a nice concept of an app, but it jumps around a lot. It doesn't fully go through alphabetical, numbers, etc. There's no showing how to sign with your hands which is a very important thing to learn. It jumps from letters to full sentences. Overall, If you already know the basics of ASL then I highly recommend using the app. But if your a beginner and need to rewatch the videos/gifs slowly a couple of times totally not for you. There isn't ads for those not paying.

This app has been so helpful! Signs are clear with the option to slow things down and I love that there's a dictionary available so I can look up signs that I might not use regularly. While there are regular prompts to subscribe, I haven't seen any pay walls yet. If this app continues to impress I'll gladly subscribe, even if it's just to help the development of the app.

Really enjoyed the free portion of this app. As someone who has little to no experience with ASL I feel like I was able to actually learn the signs and stay engaged. My one and only gripe so far is that in order to move on you have to get premium, and they do not have a monthly payment option. You have to pay for the full year or 3 months up front, which is just not doable for me and most other people. Otherwise I would absolutely pay monthly for premium.

I really like the videos and the options someone can use. the paid version is fairly inexpensive if you think about all you are learning. I like how there is an option to control the speed of the word or sentence being signed, and you can watch it over and over so you can really get the particulars down.

Great app. One of the few that are actually thorough, even with the free version. It's not overly repetitive and shows important things like grammar, which I haven't seen other apps include. After not having used ASL in many years, this helps refresh my vocabulary so that I feel confident in my ability to conversate.

There's a lot of signs that you get to learn before you have to get the subscription which is great. I would get the subscription but there isn't an option for a monthly payment. just every 3 months or every year. Id personally prefer every month. Also the price is kinda crazy. The every 3 month subscription is 48 bucks and the every year one is 99. It says that 48 bucks per 3 months is 16 bucks a month and that seems like a lot, but the 99 dollar one is worth 8 bucks which makes no sense to me.

Of the 3 ASL learning apps I've tried this one is the most intuitive and helpful. I really feel like I'm both breezing through the lessons and actually retaining the material. I'm in my 40s so I'm not as quick at picking up new things anymore but I love learning even though it can get frustrating, like with the other apps, but this one quickly grew on me. Good stuff!

It is a fantastic app with a good learning process, honestly it's kind of addictive. I learned a lot from it but unfortunately after the first three lessons (greetings and the alphabet) everything is payed. As a student who can't spend on a monthly subscription I was disappointed as I was enjoying the app but now I'll be uninstalling since I can't go on.

I just finished all daily lessons, ending with a complete 156 day streak! Love this app. I pay for the yearly subscription. I feel it's worth it. The daily lessons take 5 mins or less, which makes it approachable and easy. Dare I say, ADHD-friendly. You can also choose to do more if you want; there's practice with flashcards and such. I'm gonna continue practicing what I've learned. There are very few bugs, which are so small that I fail to recall them. Overall, great app!

I've really enjoyed the app so far. It is easy to follow and flows nicely. The lessons are enjoyable and a good length, I stay engaged with the team the entire time and appreciate that there is a button to slow things down for the signs with multiple movements. I hope to try out the premium soon but don't find the free version to be lacking at all.

Update. I deleted 2 stars because the feedback doesn't work, it gives points with no explanation what the points are for, some of the signers are very "casual" in signing. As a beginner, one needs to learn the academic sign first, vice the shortened "causual" sign. Example - the sign for "have" uses two hands, not one hand as one of the signer does. More advance lessons can use the in-real-life signing. Questioning myself whether the subscription money was really worth it.

I wanted to love this app and use it to learn sign. And for a bit it was absolutely amazing. However I was under the impression that there was a free version that you can use. However it appears the only free acess you get from this app is signing a few greetings and the alphabet. (Helpful but not what I was promised) As I wanted to learn sign affordability and can't pay the subscription fee, I can not access any more which is disappointing. I mostly wish I had know it wasn't free beforehand.
