I use this for organizing a maintenance department, good to have everyone on the same lists and projects. A good amount of features that are useful, and few that are just "fun" or 12 year old girl focused. Doesn't really work offline, even though it was advertised as such when I bought it. Feels clunky and missing a few features that are standard in other apps. *update- features have been disappearing on android and the app is getting worse. considering alternatives currently. don't use this if android is your main access

I used to love this app, but now the widgets are constantly blank and I have to open the app and refresh every 10 minutes for the task lists to show and to be able to add new ones. I am not sure what changed since it used to work fine. Please fix this glitch. It is a big inconvenience in what used to be an amazing tool for productivity and reminders.

It's an amazing organization product. I use for personal as well as work. I wish there were some more affordable options for singles and small groups that use it, to obtain some key features like start and end date/time. The only improvements I could suggest is more specifically tailored templates for industries, i.e Agricultural, event planning or Retail purposes.

Would be great if not for all the issues. I like a couple of things about this app. It's very easy to add tasks and editing them is occasionally painless. Everything else is awful. Tasks default to a random order instead of chronological by due date. Adding subtasks requires knowing to press an unlabeled, unclear button on the top. No two elements have consistent interaction. You have to swipe the calendar to change the month of a due date. To the devs: Try dogfooding. It helps.

Honestly, I'd been looking for an app like this for a while. I could find a planner type app to keep track of my homework, and Google tasks/sheets/etc. just wasn't cutting it. Now I can really quickly add and check off tasks from my phone home screen, and it's easy to remember what to do. Also, a narwhal flies across the screen when you complete a task, and it gives me the dopamine I need to get through the day.

This would be a great planner, if it actually showed your recurring tasks in future months. For some reason, it only shows the next task, even if you have set it to recurring (and will only show the one after that when you've checked it as complete). For instance, if you have a recurring meeting on Thursdays, and you go to make an appointment for somebody next month, or the month after, it won't show your meeting that's on Thursdays, so the actual planning functionality is limited.

I installed this app a long while ago, it automatically started a trial right away. I was unprepared to do a whole setup and missed the trial. Now I want to check the prices and features but when I click to learn about it, sends me an email with a link, that brings me right back to the app that yet agains brings me to the button in app to get the same email. It's a frustrating loop that I don't have time for, and I am not going to search for a pc that I don't own, for the extra effort. Lost my $

I started using this at the end of last semester when I was feeling overwhelmed. Really helped me get organized and get a clear idea of how to stay on track and finish strong. I'm currently setting up for this coming semester and it's really easy to build out each class ahead of time so I can just copy and paste once the classes are open. I like how it has calendar integrations so I get reminders.

Intuitive & simple! I am SO happy with this app/web system. I'm typically a paper to-do list snob, but I've had so much going on with work that I needed something electronic. Asana is easy to use, incredibly intuitive, and I know this sounds silly, but the way they "celebrate" checking things off the list makes this the first electronic to-do list I've ever used that gives me the same satisfaction as physically crossing things off a paper list!

Recently this app has started crashing, adds random spacing between lines in descriptions and doesn't allow edits, and no longer shows all tasks. I've also been frustrated for a while that you can't use tags in a personal account, and that they removed keyboard shortcuts and the ability to total hours. The latest changes are the push I needed to switch to another system.

There's a weird visual delay with Android 10, Pixel 2: upon opening the app, it flashes on-screen, then goes away as if it crashed. About 2-3 seconds later, it opens properly without further interaction. Or after selecting the app icon a second time in rapid succession. This would make it 5 stars. Other updates: adding better inbox filters would make the inbox usable...and dark mode would be nice.

Update: was a two start review but I'm the last few years Asana has vastly improved the app where I don't see any bugs with it. Really love this app as it helps me keep on track and keep my team members productive as well. Old review: Love this software all around. Mobile app is good too, except one tragic flaw... often tasks don't get submitted because the internet isn't available. Clears them out instead.

In theory, the app is great, but there are some limitations that make me feel like I need to keep looking for an app to help me manage my projects, tasks, etc. The mobile app won't let you move and adjust tasks in the sticky board view, which is a major problem. Also, when tasks are complete, I can't just check them off in the mobile app - it takes like 3 steps to check off a task. Then, if you're using the sticky note / board view, you can't delete a column unless you first delete ALL of the tasks that are in the column - even the ones that are already complete. This is a major hassle.

Exceptionally efficient Android app, can also be used as desktop app, also can be used in web browser directly. Reviewing app: fantastic. Functionality is high enough to be customizable, but user friendly and intuitive enough to keep simple. Suggestion for designers: the "sort" function needs to be streamlined. I.e., it *does* work exactly as you tell it to, which is good. In my opinion though, you should be able to adjust the order of tasks/cards under a column with more ease when wanted.

New bugs make the mobile app seem unreliable. I'd be happier with the 2015 version. (1) When re-ordering tasks on mobile, the item "jumps" back to it's original location before jumping back up. Cognitively, this visual movement makes no sense. Also, it makes my eyes and head hurt. Worse, more than 75% of the time, the item "jumps" back to the original location, "jumps" up to the dragged location, then suddenly appears back at the original location. (2) Trouble editing task.

Almost exactly what I was looking for. Tremendously flexible but with a lot of power behind it. Being able to visualize things in multiple different ways is an absolute game changer: lists are handy in some cases, but for my weekly planning being and to see a calendar view is perfect, and having a board is what I need when I'm not the only one doing stuff. Oh - and automating activity (like notifying me when someone changes a status)? Absolutely epic.

The app is actually quite good .... the customer service leaves a LOT to be desired!! They billed my card 4 times ($150 per time) when it was supposed to have been switched temporarily to a free acct. I was talked into this vs canceling. Well now it IS canceled! I will fight for my $600 back. They charged my card without authorization. Their service dept was useless. They caused me more hours of work and still did not refund....... BEWARE!!!!!

Love Asana for its flexibility, which makes it great for easily managing my daily to-do lists and all sorts of personal projects. I'd give it five stars, but the widget recently stopped working, displaying an error message that reads: "Something went wrong with this widget. Please reconfigure or open the app to get the latest updates." I've tried both with no luck.

it's ok. the desktop app is better. it's nice that the two synchronize with each other essentially instantaneously. the phone app defaults all your new tasks to this annoying 'do now' category and you can't change it or change the default. so if you want to create 5 new tasks quickly on your phone and sort them into the proper category you have to do it all one at a time. the collaboration options are similarly limited which actually makes the paid version *less useful* than the free version.

The UI design is really good so far, but I've yet to make heavy use of it. However, it is rather annoying to constantly refresh the project board every time I add, move, or rename a column because the change doesn't immediately appear. Props to the developers for actually implementing a pull down refresh gesture in the first place. That's pretty rare. I'm putting this minor bug here since there didn't seem a clear way to provide user feedback in app.
