This is a pretty cool app. I just got it and so far so good. One problem though is that it sometimes freezes and not having the update prevents you from using the undo button and such. Over all though i don't think it's going to be that great with anime, cartoons or drawing people in general unless you have a big screen, a fancy stylus, and/or are an expert. But for landsacpes and things like that it's really useful.

I paid for the full version of this app, and it is absolutely worth every penny. Free users, if you're on the fence, make the jump because a feature-filled app becomes that much more robust and you won't regret it. Ability to save custom brushes altered from preexisting, such as my tendency to use Old Brush for Linear Burn and Soft Spray for Exclusion, for instance, saves me time so I don't have to go back and readjust when I wanna do something different. My only suggestion would be to offer cloud storage capacity in the Gallery itself, or offer thumbnail previews in device storage, but beyond that it's phenomenal - the ability to exit and pick up from where I left off is a nice touch. When I draw with this on my tablet, I get the familiar muscle memory of traditional drawing, combined with the powerful digital technology available to us today, the beauty of both worlds given to me by ArtFlow tops everything else no comparison. Thank you for everything and keep up the great work!

UPDATE: The app does not work with Android 9.0! One UI for Samsung! Don't download this app till they fix the problem! I don't suggest updating the app till they fix the major issue with it now. A lot of people are reporting that they lost all the layers for unfinished drawings when they did the update. This is a serious issue and I won't update the app till this gets fixed as I use the layers. I shouldn't have to export it in that other format just to save the project. It's stupid.

This app used to be my favorite graphics app on my galaxy tablet. Unfortunately, over the past several weeks it constantly crashes. Uninstall and reinstall with no improvement. Most of the time it crashes before it even fully loads. About useless now. All my other graphics apps still work fine such as Clip Studio and ibis paint, so it's not a problem with the tablet.

Still one of the better digital painting & sketching software I've used for Android. Freaked out when my whole gallery disappeared and thought all my work was lost! Turns out after updating, ArtFlow permissions get turned off. So if you run into this heart stopping issue simply go to "Settings" on your phone click "apps", click on "ArtFlow" scroll down and click "permissions" and "allow" access to storage. Reopen ArtFlow click on "gallery" and !vuola! your work should return from the dead!

ArtFlow is a great app! It has great tools, awesome stylus detection, easy tool interface. I have the Samsung Tab S4 and have not had any issues until recently. I'm only able to create 7 layers and the app unexplicably shuts down after editing them. The app description says 50+ layers. Is the Tab S4 not able to get more layers? I hope to see more updates on this awesome app!

I use this app often and it gets the job done nicely. I use the pro version which is much better than the free version because the free version only has limited layers. The thing I don't like about this app is that there's a point where when you have a lot of saved files, you'll constantly crash and it'll be hard to see your drawings again.

After heavy use, very happy with this app. Very full-featured but not too complicated to use. Please add a 'Select by Color (range)' and 'Select by Brush (mask)' function. Still my go-to app. Please add ability to limit brush size range. 85% of the time I'm using 1-7, NEVER above 20-25, so I'm always trying to move the slider a hair's width to change sizes, and when I lift my pen, it moves up or down 1-2 sizes. I'm not using 98% of the slider, and changing small sizes is too finicky.

Good art app for beginners, isn't as good if you have the free version but what the free version gives you is okay I guess, main issue i have is the lack of features, it doesn't have a good warp feature, no liquify tool, and just a general lack of features of those types. Been wanting procreate but can't get it because I don't have an IPad, so I've been stuck with this, really wish they would add those features and some better texture and lighting brushes. Other than that this app is good.

Been using this for years and paid for the Pro version as well. I've started to like it less and less as it updated, and now it's laggy, buggy and doesn't work all that well with my stylus anymore. I used to love it for its simplicity and that it would work with my pressure sensitive stylus, but now I definitely don't feel like this is the best drawing app anymore since it has so many bugs now and only gets worse with its updates.

I love using this app to draw, however sometimes the app will crash while I'm drawing (specifically when I add a new layer or use the bucket tool), and it won't open for a a few hours (and when it does, the art is either deleted or any changes I made get erased), which gets very annoying. Four stars because the good things about this app outweigh the bad things.

I gave a great review in the past. Still better than Autodesk in my opinion. I do have 3 suggestions though. 1) Possibly adding the option to move the GUI around. For ex. I would find it much more comfortable if i could move the brush size & opacity slider to appear on the left side of the screen instead. 2) better blur tool. I know there's alternatives but a stand alone blur brush would be better 3) Being able to make things thick in transform like for letters and stuff (not size). Thank you!

I paid for the Pro version a while back. For drawing on a Tablet, it was the best I found at the time (personal preference of course). It has almost everything I want, it just lacks an "Insert Text" Tool. Why is it so hard to find Apps that "complete" or well-rounded. This just seems like such a basic function, and that's the only missing piece of the puzzle.

Though this app is pretty simple, it's quickly become one of my favorites. It has some of the cleanest brushes, unlimited canvas size, straightforward and hideable UI, clipping masks, it's lightweight and doesn't drain the battery - There are only three things I miss. Layer groups, double tap undo, and a proper blur tool. If those get added, I'm sure this app would always be my first choice when using my tablet to draw. Oh, and I'm a big fan of the one time purchase.

Been using the app for a long time now. Always loved it, I think it's the best drawing app on Android by far. The latest update is a big improvement overall, but I can't figure out how to lock and unlock layers while drawing. Needless to say, this is a big issue. I've tried everything I can think: taps, double taps, long presses, swipes, etc. Please help! EDIT: The issue has been fixed. :)

I was looking for a drawing app I used years ago (Sketchbook), and thought I'd try this out as well. I find this app to be uncannily similar to Sketchbook, except with constant surprise paywalls. For example, you can only have three layers in the free version, then you're asked to pay to unlock more. The same goes for the undo button -- You can only undo so many steps, then you're presented with a padlock icon asking for money. Meanwhile, Sketchbook is free, with a Pro version for only $2.

This has been my go to sketching app for a few years now. The paid version is cheap, works like a charm and is nice and lean with a few minor quirks. It's easy and fast to import and export as psd to send to a more robust program for retirement. The biggest drawback: no folders, and no selecting multiple layers at the same time. I could get so much more done before exporting. If they add that in the future, i'll gladly change to a five star rating!

I want to give this app a better rating, but I am having issues. The worst of which is that my projects are disappearing or reverting. For example, I work on something multiple times for hours total. I come back to work on it, and it shows in the gallery, but is blank. I save and use exit. The other, more minor issue, is that the smudge tool doesnt work with mirror. Otherwise, the UI is nice, and tools are effective.

This drawing & painting app is full of features and is one of my favorites. I use several, but this one is in my top tier, and I am thankful I found it. I don't understand complaints about a paywall. This is a nice piece of software, and nothing is truly free. You have options to watch ads to unlock a feature for a time if you don't want to purchase the license outright. I hate wasting my life watching ads. Ads ≠ free. It was six dollars for the pro license, which seems very reasonable to me. 🙂

I think it is the best stylus drawing app I've found. The part that allows you to choose a color is too fast and when I go to draw a line 3/10 times the reticle pops up and changes the color I am using. Super annoying. It would be better if it offered x-,y- measurements so when I am drawing I can make things perfectly symmetrical. You just have to guess at the distances, The opportunity to move the start or end of a line after pulling it would add 10% functionality overall.
