Gameplay and graphics are superb, but the ads are functionally broken. You're able to cheese through any level if you keep watching ads to revive (a con on its own), but many of them won't let you back into the game once you watch them, forcing you to restart the level (even after you've completed it). I've never experienced this with any other game. Also, gameplay related, the spike obstacles are ridiculously overpowered. How am I supposed to know if I should fall down a hole to keep exploring?

This is probably one of the best games on the Google play store. The movement mechanics are so smooth. I like that you can choose different button placemens, seeing as that's a problem in most mobile games (however I would have liked more space between the buttons). The animations and backgrounds are great, and the levels are well made. The secrets, upgrades, and 4 different difficulty levels add to the games replayability. And best of all, there are barely any ads!

A beautiful terraria-Like side scroller hack and slash that one could easily spend hours in. The enemies are creative and challenging, and the controls are smooth and easy to grip. However, I don't like having to wait for the mystic fireball to be pointed at the enemy as it slightly degrades the fluidity of motion and combat. But, it's not bombarding the player with ads every second and the in-game purchases aren't needed for enjoyment. Overall, it is an amazing free mobile game. (Rare sight)

Overall I enjoyed my gaming experiences, but there are some areas that need improvements. Interacting with the ads in level is really hard. You should be able to attack the ad box and it starts playing. It only works 50% of the time. The controls aren't completely consistent when pressed (there's a delay sometimes). Clicking on interactives in the menus (follow on Twitter, watch an ad) don't seem to work to well. But level design, graphics, and overall enjoyment is awesome

This game is lots of fun with options for gamers of all levels. It's a platformer, so the controls really need to be very tight (i.e., precise), and the developers did a solid job with that. Plus, it has controller support(!), which takes it to another level for me because of the tactile experience of buttons. The game is free with ads, but the number of ads isn't too overwhelming, and you get quite a bit of rewards for watching, especially if you do so voluntarily. Overall, a great experience.

This game has quite a bit of potential but there are a few issues, first off, you get all the weapons unlocked way too early and it makes the first boss a joke, second The choices of difficulty should be visible at the start of the game because I found it a little too easy. And finally this game needs a bit more music because the same level music can get anoying after a while. Other than those small issues this game is great!

Solid platformer overall, difficulty ramps up rather quickly, which I find refreshing though there could be a wider variety of abilities. My only true gripe is the amount of ads, and boy there are a lot. That being said, the most basic armor you can purchase ($2.99) eliminates all the ads, I think it's worthwhile. That being said, don't knock em for the ads, they gotta make money somehow, and for the quality $2.99 is well worth it.

Solid platformer! This is an enjoyable game with some decent upgrade progress and increasingly tricky levels and difficulty settings. I spent a few $ on a suit because it's well made. The music is good but repetitive so I turned it off and listen to other stuff while I play. It took me a couple weeks to catch up to the level development (currently 3-9 is the latest with 10 "coming soon" - not sure about the release schedule).

Between the dash, special throwing weapon and base attack you really have to customize the where the controls are on the screen because it's not very fat finger friendly.... that said, the game gives you the ability to customize the controls on the screen very freely. The gameplay itself is challenging, fun, and addictive. Unfortunately most of the higher level gear has to be unlocked, but there's still a ton of stuff you can unlock through running levels or watching ads. Overall great game!

This is one of the best games I have ever played on Android. The controls are smooth and fluid, especially with a controller, the levels are fun and interesting, the progression is smooth, and the difficulty curve is very shallow. Oh, and monetization is extremely fair. Watch ads to get extra loot or buy one skin for cheap, and ads are gone forever. The pixel art style looks just like classic games.

Really a fun game with plenty of levels that keep you entertained for quite a while. I also love that they have harder and harder settings so if you find winning too easy, start playing on "hard", or even if that becomes too easy, play the "very hard" setting- no save spots and only one heart. Its challenging but so fun! I have literally no negatives to say, besides wishing there were endless story levels, which would obviously be impossible!

I have two things I dislike: there clould be more non-premium additions to the game, and thus the game is not terribly extensive because of that. However, its not too strong an effect, and for what it doea have, its nice athstetic, simple but smooth control, and manageble customization combine for a excellent gameplay experience. It definitely has a nolstalgic feel that will bring me back to keep playing.

Fun little RPG that reminds me a little bit of old-school Mario games, plus weapon, ability, and armor upgrades. Some levels are a lot harder than others - some took quite a few tries to beat. The controls are a bit iffy at times (maybe just a matter of using a touchscreen), so I sometimes take damage from missing the button or hitting the wrong button. But on the whole it plays really well - the double-jump, mid-air-dash, and hanging onto ledges are really nice touches. Definitely recommend it!

The game itself is quite good, as a hack-and-slash platformer. Smooth controls, some upgrades and customization options, and a range of difficulty settings makes it a well-rounded little game. The big problem is that it's very microtransaction-driven. You don't unlock items in-game, you unlock the ability to buy items. The in-game currency is not quite plentiful enough to buy even the basic items without replaying levels or watching ads, which slows down the overall game experience.

This game bears a striking resemblance to Shovel Knight and Celeste, and I'm sure not my coincidence. That's good though because it shared those games' remarkably tight controls. Better than I've ever seen on a touch screen game. It's just too bad it's free to play. It's a console quality game, but you need purchased coins to upgrade equipment. No bueno. At least offer a full buyout option.

Really awesome game play, you have the choice of story mode (unlimited lives), or harder modes, depending on your preference. The controls are tight, and it doesn't glitch when you unpause it and have your character running or jumping when you haven't hit button, causing your player to die. I'm really pleased with this game. Thanks for making it

Great game, graphics and sound. It will be a perfect game if it would have been a metroidvania map instead of stages (worlds, areas, like Dead Cells and Metroid, Castlevania). Instead of having the throw and double jump ability at the beginning, they can be unlocked in the game progress. Also, unlock atack combos. Using a detailed map with warp points to do backtracking for the unreachable areas after getting the new skills, weapons elements enchanting (fire, ice, dark, light, thunder).

A very fun experience! Controls are smooth, sprites are detailed, and exploring areas is fun. And it actually does what it says on the can - this game has some of the smoothest pixel-art animations I've seen. I originally thought the attack animations were a little short-ranged, but then i found alternate weapons lol. Problem solved! 5/5, great game devs!

Really fun game, has cool graphics, customizable controls, and tons of cool weapons. My only problems with it is that story/casual mode do not work on boss, which make them pretty frustrating and that the difficulty in levels scales a little to fast, although you can just always play on story/casual mode so this is not much of an issue.

A promising adventure, Apple Knight has a charming aesthetic, tight-knit controls, and a basic premise that reminds me of the good old games of yore. However, after about maybe... Ten to fifteen minutes of gameplay, it would suddenly lag my phone so much that I could not even switch to a different app, or turn off my phone. Had to remove the battery and start again. Three stars for gameplay, minus two for CPU stress.
