The dialogue is cute and endearing, there's ALWAYS something to do, and the furniture events keep being awesome!! The only frustrating thing is that for the flower events, not all flowers have a special creature, AND there's a chance none of the ones that do appear will get caught, which is incredibly frustrating after waiting for the flowers to grow and it being a timed event :( Otherwise though, LOVE the game!

It's a great entry to the series. I give it a 8.3 out of 10. It has fun and addictive gameplay, But the controlls are not that great. Hopefully in the future, They will release an option to have a thumbstick or Dpad icon to use. Edit - 2 years in... OK, so it's been 2 years, and I'm starting to have new opinions on this game. It has become boring, even with all the new content. I don't think it can hold me over until New Horizons. However, it's still an OK spinoff. New Rating: 6.9/10

***UPDATE*** 4 months later and this is STILL a problem!! Every time I open the app, it won't load, it gives an error message with support code: 802-7616 and I have to switch to data to get it to load. I can switch back to wifi after that and it'll work just fine. It's just super annoying... Other than that it's a nice casual, time passing game.

I was surprised to find that there was no paywall, and that I was easily able to obtain one of the beginner special items in just 2 days. I kind of wish that there were at least 2 more different and unique areas (like a mountain for hiking or an option for swimming). And I don't really see the point in the multiplayer aspect if you can't actually interact with the person. Because of this, I believe that an offline option should be available because I'd rather spend 2 hours farming on Toram Online using up my data than waiting around for some animals and doing their chores for 2 hours, while using up my data. But other than that, this mobile version of Animal Crossing is a godsend.

added Dec7 - I'm marking down my review to 4 stars. There are just a few little things that really drive me crazy, and one that drives me a lot crazy. I have a lot of AC:PC friends. When I go through my friends list to do things like assist with Shovelstrike Quarry or go look at what's in market boxes, when I click on the X while looking at a friend it goes back to the top, and I have to scroll back down every time. I wish it could stay at the same spot I was at previously. It just would speed things up if it stayed in the same spot. UPDATE - the communication errors seem to be a lot better now. Definitely enjoying this game. ORIGINAL REVIEW - I really want to like this game. It's cute. It's very Animal Crossing. It's easy to use and play. BUT. All the communication errors make it almost impossible to play. It will get in a loop where it can't communicate and is stuck. Other times things seem fine, just occasional errors, but any errors at all is frustrating. I hope it gets better.

I love this game so much!! It's a very relaxing, cozy experience that can work well for any and all age ranges :) ! My only concern would be the way the game has been running lately; I've been experiencing crashing every single time I open the game by doing simple things like going to the fortune cookie shop, opening and sending gifts, and attempting to go to different locations. Previously, this wasn't an issue up until about a month and a half ago. Any crash fixes coming soon?

No complaints, however I think that other players aren't very lively, they just stand there like a npc, except for the fact that even npc's are livlier than players. I think there needs to be an update wich adds atleast the ability to see other players walking around fishing or collecting fruit, etc... maybe a chat feature as well, and the ability to use poses outside of the camera mode. edit: The game refuses to launch. "not enough space on your phone" no matter how much I delete.

It's a great game; nicely-made and without pop-up ads. It's more on the relaxed side and very wholesome. I do have an issue (doesn't happen often so it's not too big of a deal) where, when given 3 options to choose what to gift an animal or what to make an animal wear, the buttons can't be pressed; I have to close the app and reload it. The time it takes to load the opening sequence of the app is too long. Otherwise, a very open game that I've been playing for years:^)

I love this little game! It's a great way to while away the hours. I only wish there was a way to interact with our items the way our guests interact with them - I want to be able to sit in the amenities or use the special furniture, too. ಥ_ಥ It looks so fun. Also, I wish the camera worked the same at the campsite as it does in the house/in the camper. I could get much better pictures if I could maneuver around a bit more. Overall, though, love the game. It's peaceful.

Been playing this game for a while now, but it seems I am now another victim of the constant connection error with no fix. I have done everything possible to no success. From my understanding, when this happens, nothing can be done until it magically fixes itself. This is frustrating as it's during an event as well. I had to cancel my Pocket Member subscriptions because of this. Who knows, maybe I'll never be able to play again.

It's a fun game. Talking with the different characters becomes a bit tedious because of the loading delays to get out of the chat bubbles. Not being able to link my Nintendo account is a huge problem for me, and after spending an hour trying to figure it out, making 2 different accounts to try and connect something to this game, and constantly getting the "link broken", I don't really feel like playing this game anymore, if anything were to happen, my game would be lost. Why risk that? 🤷♀️

Its definitely fun! I like Animal Crossing a lot but the issue with the "Move to an area with better connection" popup is REALLY annoying. I have very good wifi yet thats....not enough? Also the loading times are ridiculous after a while. I mean, 15 seconds after placing ONE thing in my camp? I figured after a few years of not playing it would've gotten even better but sadly it seems to have declined a bit

I love the game. I loved animal crossing since I was little and I think every version Is fun. It's hard to keep up every two hours in this because I work full time but otherwise it's super fun! I agree with other reviews that the store/crafting thing should have a filter so you know what will take hours and what will be fast. Also, don't spend all your leaf tickets at once. I learned the hard way. Otherwise I think this is a great mobile game.

This is a nice mobile game. There are a lot of cute items and the game is pretty generous with leaf tickets. However, there is one frustrating feature. Sometimes the app refuses to open and gives a support code saying "please find a better connection". When this happens, there is no consistent fix. You're just locked out for as long as the problem lasts-sometimes up to a week. I can access all other apps when this happens. This prevents you from finishing time sensitive events.

Wish you could have more control over the market box, I feel as if there's a lot of potential going to waste there and I feel as if I should be able to sell more items than just 10, it also doesn't help that I can't fully control the price. It would also help if there was a messaging system, and also a offline mini game to help with bells. Love the game though ❤️ but please consider my suggestions!!!😭

First of all, I love animal crossing, and this is a very, very cute game! The only problem I had, was when my data was lost. It might have updated when I wasn't on the game, but I don't know. Overall, very adorable, nice game. Edit: One other problem, it will not allow me to link my Nintendo account. If I press 'Link/Create Nintendo Account', it always gives me the same answer; "An unexpected error occurred. Please restart the game", and the button says 'Return to Title'. Please fix this! 🙏

It's fun and all but oh my God the pricing is absolutely absurd. You barely get any leaf tickets in the game and a floor will on average cost 170. It's ridiculous and now events are starting to become more and more ticket based. For example, this last event had 1/4 of the items locked behind tickets, it would cost you quite a bit of real money to get them all. It's honestly impossible to play if you don't spend money which just makes the experience miserable and it's only getting worse.

Since the last update, the screen cuts the bottom off, it seems like a weird oversight for such an experienced developer. Also, they must have changed the fortune cookie algorithm. I got 5 of the same lowest tier item in a set of 5 cookies. I won't waste my tickets on cookies for a while, that was so disappointing. Still a nice game for the basic play.

This game is actually fun. I look forward to contests, the daily fortune cookies, new visitors, unlocking new items... but the downside is that it's DEFINITELY pay to play. So much of what makes it fun and keeps you interested involves 6 purchases. Including 3 different monthly subscriptions. And no, you don't get a discount for having all 3. Also, some shop items can only be purchased with the in-app currency, which takes forever to earn, or - you guessed it - you can purchase.

It's been a lovely experience so far, save for one thing. I don't understand why scrapbook memories are a thing - it's a constant notification and we have to watch a short film that doesn't do anything. It feels very beneath AC to use filler features in this way - it feels like a cash grab. If possible, please put a fast forward option on the scrapbook memories option. Or allow us to film our own reels in game that we can manually choose whether or not to include in our memories.
