I downloaded this thinking it is to separate my work and normal apps (to have the work tab on the apps page) but i am wrong about downloaded this app for that. And now i cant uninstall it, it has said "uninstalling" for a long while now :( please help fix this.

Same problem as others. Just goes on and in when trying to uninstall. I dont have work info as this is my personal phone so no need whatsoever for this app. I see the support team is very quiet on the negative comments for this app so makes me more suspicious to what the purpose of the app is really for.

Personal phone and this app ask for a code from my IT dept. Can't block it from microphone, camera or other devices without that code. How do I get that code? Or get one issued for personal use? Because it can not be uninstalled from play store. Tried to uninstall updates and it is still grinding away after 20 minutes on uninstall updates, even after restart it shows it is grinding away at uninstalling updates.

I just realised this app is not needed after reading other reviews and I concur fully updated Pixel 7 cannot uninstall it just hangs if this is a required system component then admit that Google or fix the ability for individual ownership to choose whether or not to have this app on their device!!!

More invasive spyware I can't get rid of. This has gotten beyond old and infuriating, google.

Uninstall hangs forever. Has survived system update to 14, and multiple power cycles. See other reviews. Possibly the most frustrating thing I've seen since I started using Android a long time ago. Uninstall still going strong a month later!

"Enable Auto Update" has been Changed by Google Play Store. I've disabled auto update numerous times only to have it surreptitiously changed.

This "app" did not come pre installed on my phone. Or it was not activate, until the 5th of March.. Disturbing, frustrating and incumbent. Especially since the "app" uninstall button does not work, not to mention the privacy policy essentially, WORTHLESS. If not having this "app" on my device was optional, I would feel a lot better about using my phone for anything. Honestly. P.S I felt I should clarify, even though my first was deleted. I still stand by what I previously wrote.

To those who think it's a virus or whatever, it truly isn't. It's a standard part of the GMS package (google mobile services) and is preinstalled on a lot of devices - If your phone is a personal phone, it serves absolutely 0 functionality and will do absolutely nothing.

As an employee, I've always wanted to feel like a secret agent, and thanks to the Android Device Policy app, now I do! Every time I unlock my phone, I half-expect to receive a mission to save the world... or at least to finish my TPS reports on time.

Pathetic response, lot of bus. I'm not able to use nor uninstall this application. Please check and support. I am not able to sign in my work profile.

I think there's a glitch in this app it will not uninstall from my phone and it still says uninstalling. I've been trying to uninstall it for 2 days now.

Terrible, won't uninstall even after you remove yourself from the workplace and your device is removed from the MDM by an admin. And tries to access the camera often, making it suspicious at what it's doing. Requires a phone reset to remove, so beware before installing.

They haven't been really good, I've tried several times, and there's been advice given to look up what this app does and do we need it. So I did this is copied from Google. I just read if this is my personal phone than this app does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING 🤔 ( EXCEPT TAKE UP STORAGE SPACE) so you can stop the updates, Clear the cache, and the data. This is for those who use this for Personal use 😁

Why is this App needed? IT admin to remote manage the device? Wasn't the other Google backdoors built into pixels enough? 😂 For users not in a corporate environment or managed by policies why is this installed, intentions, and why cannot uninstall?? Disable?

Yet another app I don't want that was placed on my phone by Google. Google, please stop this. I chose a Pixel because it is supposed to have the least bloat ware. Let people decide what they want taking up storage space on our phones and taking our personal info. Can't uninstall it, delete storage cache and block the app from running if u didn't want it.

Trying to set up my work Gmail on my phone but can't because I need to uninstall this app so I can try signing into my work Gmail and I've tried to uninstall but the thing just keeps spinning like it's trying to uninstall but can't have also tried from my settings and when I press uninstall it just keeps saying installed . So annoying, all this work just to get my work Gmail on my phone

App got stuck. I tried to uninstall so I can reinstall. Now it's just stuck uninstalling in a loop and won't let me reinstall at all. I even tried to restart my phone and that didn't work. I notice in the reviews many others have the same issue. I messaged the developers and got no response.

UPDATE FROM ≥ WEEK AGO: I tried to uninstall cuz I didn't like what I read in reviews. Having same problem of unable to uninstall. Worse yet, Google Play webpage won't stop running the 'busy' spinning circle icon, indicating that the page is locked. As problem is, inter alia, Google Play servers cuz I close out the app and clear the cashe, as well as force stop and restart it, only to find same problem running the 'busy' icon! Pathetic, this n # of problems with these Pixel 8 Pro phone!
