I put the wrong inmate number qnd saved it. Now it only gives me options to send stuff but not an option to edit my contacts info. I watched a video on how to use the app and my app looks NOTHING like the one in the tutorial video nor like the photos in the app store. this is not good at all. I could only enter one person's info and once I do, I can't edit the info nor can I add another person. PLEASE HELP!!!!! I recommend not trying to add to features and fix the app before moving to new things

I love this app! But it hasn't been working as well. Plus most of what I've sent isn't received. It doesn't tell you what they are and aren't allowed to receive which would be a nice change within the app. Knowing if they would or wouldn't be received. Most of what Ive sent is returned. Except the letters that is the only thing received by 2 separate inmates. Even tho I still love it. I'm sure it's nice receiving anything from the outside world. Keep up the good work hope to see some revamps! ❤️

I LOVE this app, there is a lot of bugs with it and sometimes it takes hours for me to get the app to work. Continuously say, server down or something of that nature so that sucks but still cannot complain! Edit to update: I did give it five stars originally but now it keeps saying I haven't given permission to access my photos. I have deleted and reinstalled several times, all permissions have been given and it still won't work for the photo post card things!! Probably going to stop trying!

Not a good experience. I've had the app 2 weeks. I tried to send my first two pics. It said there was an error. So I go back to Try again a few days later. It's gone. There's no home page. How do I add contacts? Is there a menu? So I tried to start over.. now it's saying I don't have permissions turned on but it appears all permissions are turned on. I even tried toggling some of the permissions. Still nothing. There's gotta be a better app.

I love this app! Only issue Ive had is when I got a new phone and re downloaded the app my 25 credits didn't move over. That was really disappointing for sure. I tried contacting customer support and was told there wasn't anything that could be done. Wasn't expecting the full 25 but something would have been better then nothing. Would be great to be credited some.. Other then that I love the app!

Super convenient!! Love this app. I'm horrible at remembering to get stamps so this is very easy, user friendly and convenient. I highly recommend. I have friends in a few different facilities and so far ameelio has had every facility I've needed. You also get one credit a month for free to write a letter. You just have to go to the settings and turn it on. I thought that was pretty cool! Also, unlike jpay the letters they receive have your return address so they know where to send it out.

This app is trash. It seems they have completely given up even attempting to fix issues now. No one responds to "customer service" messages. Their Facebook hasn't had any posts in 2 months. Was a very good idea and when it works, it's a wonderful service. However, it just seems like they've lost interest in something they claimed to be so passionate about.

So just under a year ago I attempted to use this app. At that time it wasn't working correctly. Today I received a reply from the developer and I attempted to use it again. This time the app loaded just fine and seemed to work quite well. However, it doesn't seem to allow a person to change who they're contacting. Edit: that issue was resolved. They're up to four stars. Now to get the correct address for the facility. I'm going to do an update and edit this again if needed.

I have been enjoying the app and haven't had any issues. I have tried to help my mom and Aunt set it up and was having a hard time. When you put in the password and try to log in it wouldn't accept it saying it was incorrect. Also have tried to send letters and the system has been down or to many ppl using at the same time. Keep working on it, it is a great way to keep in touch with your lived one.

This app was great.. until an update was done. Now when I try to send a letter I am unable to see tracking for it and dont know if the letter was delivered or not. I also cannot send picture postcards anymore either as it shows no size options in the size tab when your prompted to choose a size for your picture postcard, thus not allowing me to advance any further to be able to send it. Fix this please!!

So far, I like and appreciate the app and the team behind it. That being said, I have a couple of things I'd like to point out. The app is buggy at times. I will receive an error message when the app uploads my photos and/or the app totally forgets what I created (after I spent awhile collecting my thoughts and typing it all down), so I had to type it all over again. Lastly, an increase to 2 free monthly credits would be fair and appreciated for those with larger families. Thank you!

I have used this app When? It first came out and it was a great app. I could write my loved ones as many times as I wanted. During the month when it started changing to adding pictures and having to pay to write your family members. So for you. Get one a month free. I am having issues with it. Not wanting to let me message. Anything can't even type one letter. Without it freezing up I've tried to get in touch with customer service about it and nobody gets back with me.

Well, it's not actually free, but it is very inexpensive & for a great cause. The only & VERY, VERY frustrating thing is when typing the message. Words are deleted while typing, partial words are removed, you're constantly having to edit & your writing line lengths are decreased as you have to do this! So, you end up with @least 1 or 2 typos b/c you can't avoid it!

Easiest way to send pictures to incarcerated loved ones. There's an option to just send letters as well. I've used this app free for years but I don't use it often. If you do send mail/pictures all the time there will be a cost but it's cheaper than using regular mail. Some prisons prefer these type of services for sending mail as it cuts out the risk of contraband being sent in

Ameelio is a great way to stay in touch with folks behind the fence. Their customer service is excellent. My only issue is with composing letters in the app on a phone. My workaround is to create the letter in Google Docs on a PC, then open the file on my phone, copy and paste, and hope it fits. I wish Ameelio had a way to compose letters on a PC/Mac.

I sent mail on May 30 supposed to arrive June 9th-11th. according to the track mail option provided. It's still in transit. Seems to take an awful long time to send mail through this app and on the pricey side at that compared to other mailing apps. Other than this issue I haven't really had any other problems.

I'm giving it 3 start because it lack the option to cancel once submitted, I messaged them and they said there was a short timeframe to cancel but hei, there is no option to click that but to email them and that is waste of time as by the time a staff see the email, they can't stop because the timeframe passes. please, add the cancel option in the app.
