The app has gone bad in the recent times. It started auto logging out every week, then every 2 days, now every day It logs out. This was not the case for years. Dear dev team, do something. I'm missing important messages. Uninstalling for now.

Unituitive design - hard to understand if I'm muted or not just by the looks of the buttons. You may think your audio is off while it's actually on. Looks like by default it turns on audio and video. I couldn't find a way to turn it off before joining. This is odd for large meetings. There should be more setting for notifications.

The app is great except for when I have to use it for meetings. Once the meeting ends, then the notification for the meeting stays on my phone. Closing the app doesn't make it go away and requires my phone to be restarted. Definitely only use for chat unless you want to restart your phone after each conference call.

Bugs that i have noticed 1) Messages and calls appear late in the notifications. 2) Even when i pickup call on my laptop the phone keeps ringing. 3) when i click the background apps button i can see two instances of chime one is blank and other is actual one. 4) messages don't instantly load when i open the app. It takes time for connecting and refresh the messages. 5) when i have some text in my textbox and click quote a message, all the message in my textbox gets delete.

Would be good if users have the option to categorise favourites or contacts. So you can find people from different departments easily. Also, could add a feature to mute certain groups and notify you on more important groups only. Can't send files on mobile app but on Windows you can. I also experience logout issues, but this doesn't bother me as I have access to login again, but people who don't have access can get frustrated. My colleagues don't use Chime because of this.

Wonderful business application which I think is first in business apps that provides message sending feature even when the recipient is offline. Its simple to use and connects seamlessly with phone, laptop, desktop devices. As a downside, the conversation history and search of chats and texts is bad and not effective. 5star will be given if they make it easy

I've previously used Chime outside of work a handful of times, it WAS very useful for communication. Now with the requirement to connect through the network, it defeats much purpose of using the mobile app. If you have access to a network computer to assist with the login process, then you already have access to Chime. I don't know about other sites, but at mine, any leadership or problem solvers sending Chime communications will almost always have consistent computer access. Not helpful.

Amazon Chime has a long way to go. In today's world work communication apps such as MS Teams, Google Meet, etc. have grown substantially in terms of not just functionality but mainly in terms of reliability. Chime mobile app however faces frequent issues. It often ends up in a hung state with the message "Connecting" which leads to frustrating wait times and getting delayed for meetings. Then the mute option disappears altogether if your phone uses the new gestures instead of traditional back/home/menu button layout. Then it's a erratic UI to initiate a new chat - if one enters an extra character in the To field then removing that removes the previously added person on the To field. I was using Teams around a year ago and in my new organization we are supposed to use Chime. It feels like I've gone back in time by a decade.

It works like garbage can... Mobile app doesn't receive messages instantly, it takes Hell of a time to refresh recent chats. Also, for Android last Few letters in the chat are never visible. In order to see the full chats, I have to copy and paste the whole message again! Needs a lot of work...

I want to like chime, but there are several user issues that make the app unbearable. 1. Loading pics within chat takes far too long to be effective. I'm not talking about a little Impatience either. The wait time is well over a minute on occasion. 2. If a message can't send it simply deletes the entire message. This is absolutely unacceptable. There is important information being shared across this app. When a message goes down, it's infuriating to have to type it a second time. Please fix!!

The app used to keep me logged in for extended periods of time but for the past 2 months, it's been logging me out every Saturday night. Now it logged me out on a random Thursday night. With a team on both shifts using Chime as our main point of contact, that presents a problem.

With full bars and internet, this app dropped one of the most important video calls of my life. The terrible "chime" sound it made while trying to reconnect, was anxiety fuel and only stressed my situation more. The "chime" interrupts you and the pop up message makes doing anything but leaving the call impossible. If you have an important call to make or take, avoid chime, I would trust two rusty cans and a string more than this app. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Really awful app. Signal and Google meet, even zoom is better. Chime makes you go through multiple windows to get into a meeting when opening the app. That is the opposite of what u want from a meeting app because you need instant and easy access. It also made me use network data rather than mobile data which is ridiculous for video calling. The whole look and feel is under-par and really needs simplifying

Fails to connect when using mobile data when everything else (WhatsApp, messenger etc) has no issues. 9 times out of 10 messages don't actually send. During meetings, when someone starts talking it cuts off the first word of what they say, rather annoying when it's a roll call. Rarely get notifications when messages are received, you have to actually open the app to then see a notification dot.

I'd give this terrible app zero stars if I could. Gets notifications but doesn't download the message until you open the app, so you can have a notification (with half the text) but can't access the message, or at least not quickly as it takes ages to sync (and if offline at that point you're out of luck). What a tragically bad design. No "out of the office" functionality, which is critical for a business-focused app. No detailed control over notifications. Also as per all Amazon Android apps it burns battery even when not in active use. Amazon doesn't appear to be developing or improving this app. If I wasn't forced to use this for work it would be uninstalled in a heartbeat.

Needed to inform my manager and team about why I would be absent. Couldn't do that because of this update where you have to log in from an Amazon computer. No point to this app anymore. This has been super inconvenient. Even while onsite, it's a waste of time to have to log in when we need to use the app from our phones to take load quality photos, etc. Please get rid of this issue. Terrible idea.

Not sure what happened but it's suddenly become really slow. About 2 seconds between typing each letter and it appearing on screen which leads to typos, and about 5 seconds (I had a colleague watch and times it whilst I sent a message) for each backspace. Virtually unusable. Plus it still has problems loading attachments depending on the day.

Crashing is fixed but the rest is not. When I can join a meeting, the audio was so low I can't hear a thing. Also this app cant seem to make up its mind about the icons. Am I muted or not? And turning on my mic and video by default is a bad idea. let me manually turn those on when it is good. From when I join a meeting to when I can actually mute things is enough time to be disruptive. This app is only effective for text messaging...dont waste your time for conference calling.

Even with proper network, where other apps are performing well, its constantly "connecting". I end up force stopping the app. Now the messages thet were in "sending" state, are all gone and I have to retype them. Very bad experience. I am not rating 1 because it gets a lot of stuff done for me and not 3 as it may not get your attention 😁.

Team, fix this app. It looks like a ui update was pushed but still having the text entry issue that has existed since the Android 13 update. It's a consistent daily frustration and requires closing and reopening just to get a message completed with the text entry lag. This has been over a month at minimum, ample time to address a fundamental problem.
