I played through all endings and enjoyed it. A lot of the questions posed are pretty philosophical. I liked reading the various thought provoking passages. The music is pretty calming and I spent quite a few hours just tapping on the speech bubbles (which give more points when closest to you). The game made me feel mad, sad, and then pleased at the end. Overall nice relaxing and thoughtful game.

One of the best apps I have played. I love the female character that is on the cover. The music is so pretty and a calm vibe. The story makes me always want to move forward to know more. Does have replay vaule for story that I won't spoil. Lots of 4th wall broken mentioned. I feel like I can understand the message it wants to tell in the story. I feel my heart moved most for the female character on the cover of the app. It's a slow start but worth it. 10/10

I love, love, love this game! Watching Es story change is amazing! Took me 13 days to finish the first ending, and then I got the other two in one day! I could've done them all in one day if I had known how to play initially and had more time. My initial thought was this is odd game when I first finished it (liberator ending), I then got the other extreme, finally ending on my favorite ending. Honestly it is just a beautiful game and the fact you can replay the tests is awsome! Great work guys!!

When I found this game, I was mediately intrigued. And as I started it up, it did not disappoint. While I played the game, I felt like a burden was lifted from my chest. Every outcome I got from the tests helped me think clearer, and the story overall was immersive and spellbinding. I don't normally say this, but Alter Ego has changed me, or at the very least shown me what I need to do. This game is amazing, and I loved every second of playing it!

I've...had a good time with this game. I'm uninstalling it now without buying anything, the dlc doesn't seem worth it for me because after i got one, it was like 3 lines of rng dialogue, so I'm not planning on trusting it. Other than that, the game is good. I've played for the last 5 months and just beat it. All endings, all books. So it's good if your looking to scratch a philosophy itch, but even after doing everything nothing changes, and es's character is still at a wall. Oh well.

I thought this be the run of the mill, "discover yourself" games with its cheesy personality tests. But I actually was pleasantly surprised with the story that drove it. It's a wonderful story and the idea of wandering and "thinking" was pretty cool. Once I discovered there was multiple endings, it gave me something other than finding myself to drive for

Damn where do I begin? I never once wanted to complete a mobile game so badly before. This game helped me discover who I am (experiences may vary there, the surveys are less flushed than Meyer Briggs after all) and how I can change. There is DLC for this game. On top of the removable ads, there are after credit conversation based on different endings. I don't have money for that, so go see for yourself!

A very well written, deep narrative, free indie clicker sim. The narrative vaguely reminds me of the original cookie clicker. But, instead of a dark & grim ending: The true ending here is one of beauty. From the art, the music, and the narrative, it is a masterfully crafted experience. Found this during my country's COVID-19 Lockdown. Which, at the time of writing this, brought lots of anxiety and extreme melancholy. This game is very therapeutic. This will remain my top mobile games. - Psy

Excellent writing and a good sense of pace. A lot of the time - especially on phones - idle games never bother to go beyond "make number bigger." It's always a treat to play one that commits to its theme and story, and ends at just the right time. Highly recommend, and I can't wait to see what else this studio puts out.

Wow. Just wow. I don't know what I expected when I decided to try this game out, but it went far beyond my expectations. The plot was immersive, thought-provoking, and the character(s) almost makes you think she had a mind of her own, with the 4th wall breaking, the guidance, and the interactions. It was different in that you weren't always made to choose 1 out of the 3 dialogue options, but that you could type in what you wanted to say at one point as well. Truly, a great gaming experience.

This game was beautiful. The story line, the art, the dialogue. I haven't been this involved in a game for a long time. I love the message it sent out, all the different endings, too. It does really add to the aspect of choosing your own path to the ending you really do want. Thank you for making such a great game, I'll be ecstatic if you make a sequel or other games like this. ♡

A captivating game - it rewards multiple playthroughs. If you're like me, it'll take 3-4 playthroughs over a few weeks to work your way through the variant endings (which give you the opportunity to replay) to get to the final ending (which rolls credits). It's an intriguing mix of visual novel style (from my limited exposure to the genre), idle game mechanics, and an XP grinding mechanism that has you "read" through IRL literary works (which made me want to check out some of them)

At first, I thought this game was really weird, but at the same time, it's super addictive. Just about the time it starts to get boring, something happens. I played all 3 endings in one sitting. After you finish an ending, your multipliers stay in place, so you don't have to start over, and each iteration is easier.

I played this game originally right as it came out. It was during a dark period of my life. I always sided with Es, no matter how dark that ending was, because I couldn't bare to be mean or dismissive. But, years later, out of nostalgia, I just went through and did the True Ending, and I'm so glad I did. What a beautiful, happy ending to this solemn story. Truly a fantastic idle game. Once you beat it once, you can get the other endings quickly. Would definitely recommend.

God, what a beautiful and thought-provoking game. The gameplay is a bit deeper than your standard clicker fare at a base level, with a fair amount of possible sequence breaks. The storyline and interactions are among the best game writing I've ever seen. The audio is top-notch. I can't recommend this game enough. As a bonus, the books featured in the game are real, and are all very much worth a read.

Having read choose your own adventure and which way books when I was little the premise seemed interesting. It's a short and quick game, but there's a lot to it. I found myself wishing there was more to delay reaching an ending, and though the tapping is repetitive it fits the narrative. A lot of thought was clearly put into the game and considering the subject matter, it was beautifully executed.

I love this game! I've redownloaded it so many times just to see Es happy again and see if any of my results would turn out different than before. There's such a great blend of story telling and personality assessments, and so far my results have turned out accurate. The first time I played this I wasn't in as great of a state as I now am, and this game really helped me realize it's alright to have flaws and not always be okay. I'm curious to know more about the world this takes place in.

I, a long long time ago, played this game for (almost?) a week and dropped it because I though it'd be a waste of time & take months to see all the endings. little did I know the first ending was just around the corner. Today I returned to the game & got through all 3 of the endings the same day. A great philosophical game especially if you want to learn about some real philosophical books.

Not much replay value, BUT-- Interesting concept and experience, beautiful, haunting soundtrack. I lovingly call it a peaceful, philosophical reprogramming, haha since it's a clicker game where you multiply points by poking chat bubbles that are quotes from literary pieces. Simple, but put me on various novels/books to read such as No Longer Human and Metamorphosis. Although it doesn't really have much replay value, it's been probably 3 years since I got all routes and it truly sticks with you.

This was the most amazing game that i've ever played. The story telling, graphics, progression, everything was just so good. It definitely opened up a bit of a perspective when it comes to our world and that we all have a choice to become a better us. I definitely hope the creators make a second game or expand this one because it's just amazing.
