DRIVEWISE hasn't worked consistently for me for over 6 years. I've tried it over the years on different phones and it has shown less than 15% of my trips (sometimes much less). If I uninstall and then reinstall the app it will sometimes show one trip and then stop. I have stopped using the app many times over the years because of this issue. The app is great for reviewing policies, printing ID cards, and paying but DRIVEWISE needs a lot of work.

This app is garbage, it records less than half the trips I've done, I have it set up correctly with all the perms and already spoke to several tech support people, it is garbage app and I'm going to lose my discount because it doesn't register all my trips. And I don't know why you keep posting that "please contact tech support" message, it is completely pointless and fruitless, nothing works, fix your app, I'm not the only person with problems with it, just scroll down ...

The app itself is ok, but drivewise is extremely annoying. It drains a significant amount of battery checking for trips every 5 minutes or the instant I move. It's so sensitive that it even checks for trips when I adjust myself in my recliner. On top of that, you can't clear the notifications from the app without unlocking your phone first which is also super annoying. To top it all off, it considers using apps such as spotify to be using your phone while driving even if your phone is locked.

This app sucks! Notifications are always going off! "Hey it's 3AM let's wake everyone up by telliing them they're driving!" My notifications are turned OFF! It doesn't register 3/4 of the trips. I've been on over 300 trips, it only registered 11 as of today! It also dings you for having Bluetooth hooked up just so you can listen to music. I've uninstalled this app & reinstalled it. Same exact problems! Work all the bugs out people.

Frustration continue. Continues to lose GPS signal, only recording a fraction of my trips. App Diagnostics green. App continues to stop while driving, saying GPS signal lost. I'm using a Samsung 23 Ultra, no GPS issues with any app. All settings correct, cache cleared and diagnostics are green. Also, kind of needless to be notified of "phone activity" when you get a push message from a news app, etc., while driving. Unless you shut off all apps, it's going to register some phone activity.

Very frustrating app. It often does not work, but when it does work, it is OK. Help is near nonexistent & worthless. They just suggest checking settings, which are already set correctly as suggested in the first place. Frustrating, why would anyone purchase the extras that are offered from such a poor functioning app? Several days later & the "cr"app has stopped functioning again (trips not recodding).

I'd give it a zero if I could. Can't set it up using my own email address because my husband is listed 1st on the policy, but I manage it, so I use my email address. It constantly resets our trips. We almost hit 50, and it started back at 0. Seems crooked to me. Tech support was a joke. They couldn't help. App diagnostics shows all is good. It's obviously trash.

Very glitchy. Not user friendly for people who don't use technology much. Needs an option to put yourself in not driving before the trip so you don't have to waste half the day going through trips. I'm a truck driver and use hands free which is completely safe andd legal. Maps rarely load with the app. Not easy to use at all with all the issues

I got a notification a few weeks ago saying that none of my trips were recorded since the end of March. I drive everyday so what's the problem. I've updated my app, deleted the app & reinstalled it & still, it's not recording my trips. App diagnostic also said everything was good & drivewise was active. I wanted to save money but how if the app never works properly. Please get the app fixed. If your gonna offer the app, then it should WORK. I know I am not the only one with this issue.

The app is designed to help drivers improve on their habits. However the new updates does not allow us to change the trip to passenger. I amnout of state and traveling with someone else. Yet, it will go against my driving records because the app will not let me change it. There needs to be a feature to allow the user to choose if they are the driver in the beginning. Waiting to change it after the trip has ended is not fair as for people like myself I forget to change it during or after the trip

Drivewise is useless. I keep getting notifications that it's recording a trip, but then it doesn't. Once you get a discount applied to your account, it stops working until you renew your policy for the next six months at an $18 mo. increase. Then it MAGICALLY starts working again until you get another discount applied. At least, that's been my experience. After that, Allstate blames the user and their phone for the app shortcomings. I most likely will be switching companies come September.

Using the app has improved my driving habits and saved us on our premiums. My issues with it are that it crashes quite often and it doesn't load all the features every time you log in. I'll have to log in and out several times to see my trip activity. Also, a few times it has recorded that I went over 80, which is flat out wrong. I do not drive faster than 75 and set my cruise control, or "ticket control" as I call it every single time I get in my car.

Any time I use a link in the app to get to account details, etc, it pops up with the old "Oops.. something went wrong." Drivewise will tell you that you'd better start leaving on right after it records a trip. You can see a copy of your insurance card and get a laugh out of drivewise. Other than that, the allstate app is garbage. 6/10/2024. It's still doing the same thing. I can't even look at my payment history. Drivewise thinks I'm not running the app any time I drive where there is no servic

Drivewise mobile app is very versatile, useful. The only issue I've run across is that the app will show the phone active, in error, 35% of the time. The only use my phone gets in the car is with Google maps. It doesn't show active at that time, as it shouldn't. What would be helpful, safety wise, is if the app could determine if a driver is using a turn signal. Many accidents and sudden stops are due to drivers neglecting to use their turn signals. Signals are a requirement when driving.

When the trips were tracked by the adapter plugged into the car, it tracked the car that was insured. Now with the app on our phones it's tracking the person no matter if they are the one driving. I hate it. If I forget to go in and turn it off or try to edit a trip, we get dinged on our discount. Also can't see the actual trip locations any more and can't access anything for my kids. They are usually a passenger but never remember to turn it off when with others, penalizing us.

The app constantly fails to record all the miles driven during each trip. I always use the trip odometer in my car & compare those miles with DriveWise. Practically every time the app fails to meet the actual miles I have driven. In the past 2 days I have driven 100.0 miles but DriveWise only recorded 56.7 of those miles. I keep my phone charged & up-to-date as well as the app. My phone settings are set per DriveWise specification & they are fine. I wish the app worked as it is supposed to.

Very dangerous app. Keeps sending multiple notifications. This causes android auto to freeze up. Drawing attention from the road. Which is a distraction from driving. The app should be able to operate without notifications, but as soon as there turned off, the app tags you, and you have to turn them on for drive wise to work. Please update this problem. I'm sure it's causing accidents.

This was working tolerably well until the latest update. Update, almost 2 years later: Hardly any better. I get the notifications with near-daily driving that "Drivewise is logging a trip." When I logged into the app, there are no trips noted for a week. Grrr. Edit 6.15.24: Up to 3 stars for somewhat better responsiveness. Middling performance. Canceling the rewards program has made it far less interesting.

As a new Allstate customer, I was intrigued by the Drivewise feature offered through the app. The app itself is satisfactory, I find it inconvenient to have to sign in every time. However, the most significant issue lies in the functionality of Drivewise. It has failed to record a substantial portion of my trips over the past month, and when it does, it often inaccurately indicates phone usage or speeding when my phone is untouched in the passenger seat and I am adhering to posted speed limits.

I think the app has made me a more observant and cautious driver, and I'm definitely watching my speed now. However, there are many times where I'm NOT the driver, but the app won't let me go back and edit a trip, and sometimes it won't even let me specify that I'm not the one driving. My "savings" percentage is suffering for it because it thinks I'm the one driving fast or braking hard, when that isn't the case. I tried to uninstal and reinstall the app, but that didn't work.
